Learn more about this land: Our property encompasses 3 different campsites: 1.) Camp with Stone Fireplace - a private gravel clearing with functional stone fireplace on an 11 acre parcel. 2.) A Frame to Rest In - a newer addition which is a tiny A-Frame structure close to, but separate, from the Fireplace site and shares a driveway. 3.) Easy Come Easy Go - right off 302 and has a circular gravel driveway easy for RV pull-in with a picnic table and fire ring. --------------------------------------------- Located in Bethlehem at the top of the White Mountains close to endless hiking and biking. Both downtown Bethlehem and Littleton are within a 15 minute drive, supplying many choices for food and shopping. Rainy and need more options? Take the beautiful 1 hour drive east on 302 to North Conway and visit the big outlet stores. If the weather is better, and you want a more scenic way there with hiking -- take the 25 minute drive down to Lincoln and travel the amazing Kancamangus Scenic Byway (Route 112). This is 35 miles through the White Mountains with no gas stations, so you might want to top off while in Lincoln. Thirty minutes east is the Mount Washington Cog Railway, and you will pass the historic Mount Washington Hotel on the way. Fifteen minutes south and you can be at Franconia Notch State Park.

WINTER CAMPING! We have 2 spots with electric and welcome winter campers in any compacity you dare :) Wandering Pines is a little slice of magic in the Great North Woods of New Hampshire. Our sites are large, private and offer field or wooded land. The sites are near our Small House on 5 acres but far enough away to feel private. We currently have 13 sites; 2 large campsites, 6 primitive walk in sites, 3 park and sleep sites and 2 RV camper sites. If our sites are booked, please message me. During the warmer months(Late March-Early December) all the sites have access to water and a primitive outhouse and handwashing/dishwashing station. Some sites have access to electricity. Firewood can be purchased. Please check our extras for other items for purchase. We have wetlands and overgrown fields so there may be bugs and other animals at any given time. Bug spray is recommended. Although black bears are generally shy and usually avoid humans, they are opportunistic and will search for human food supplies when natural foods are not available. Maintaining a sustainable bear population in New Hampshire depends on minimizing human-bear conflicts. It is illegal to intentionally feed bears in New Hampshire. Intentional feeding can create problems within residential areas and can result in fines. It also may threaten the life of the bear, if it becomes a nuisance animal as a result of this feeding. Please keep your food in your car when you are not at the site and when you are sleeping. The property has views of Mount Martha and the Presidential Mountain Range. There are easy walking trails throughout the property. There is a field to play games; Soccer, wiffle ball, corn hole and yard croquet can be used. Just ask We are within 25 mins of Lancaster, Jefferson, Littleton, and Bethlehem. Small town bars, restaurants, breweries and one of a kind views of mountains, lakes, rivers and wildlife. Established in 2004, we are an 87 acre ATFS certified Tree Farm located in the Blue Hills Range in the Foothills to NH’s White Mountains. Choose from one of four unique sites / outdoor spaces to best fit your camping needs; book a combination to reserve a section of the mountain, or book all four sites for total privacy or for events. Our Farm spans the northerly side of Hussey Mountain from the base to the summit. Guests are provided with private access to several miles of multi-use nature trails, multiple scenic lookouts, a three acre PYO blueberry maze, and a dock on our private eight acre pond with available boat rentals. At the 2WD shared parking area guests are provided with a outdoor shower with hot and cold water, a portable toilet, garden hose for washing, a power strip for charging devices, and a spigot with potable water for filling containers. Over two decades ago we created our first campsite for the purpose of hosting family and friends. Folks enjoyed camping on the mountain so much they often would choose our farm over traditional campgrounds. Hosting campers became a regular weekend event, and to accommodate more people we created three more sites spread out across the property. In 2020, we came across the Hipcamp app and started offering private reservations to the public. Since, we have been hosting campers on a daily basis and continuously improving our sites / infrastructure / views. We’re excited to see what the next two decades hold; come join us on the mountain! Even though we haven't seen any there are bears in New Hampshire: Secure coolers, grills, cooking utensils, any food not in use, snacks, and anything with food odors inside the locked compartment of a vehicle or trailer or a bear proof storage locker if available. Wipe off picnic tables and grills. Properly discard aluminum foil used for cooking. Do not keep food/snacks in or around your tent!

We have an 8X8 cabin available in a small grove on the edge of our homestead/medicinal herb farm. The cabin has a full size bed (bring your own pillows and bedding) with some floor space for a small cot or sleeping pad. The space allows for two adults and two small children, anymore than that would be very tight. The cabin is insulated so the road traffic isn’t bad but it is noticeable at certain hours when the window is open. There is a large parking area with about a 100 yard walk across a lawn and then another 100 yard walk through an uneven wooded trail to the cabin. We have two composting toilet outhouses available for guests use that we take care of on a daily basis.Inside of our large greenhouse, there is a hot water outdoor semi-private shower, only biodegradable soap that we provide can be used. There is also a kitchen and seating area in the greenhouse with a propane grill, toaster oven, microwave and electric kettle and small coffee maker/French press. The greenhouse is a communal space that our family uses as a wood shop and greenhouse space so while the kitchen and shower area are kept clean and clear for guests, the rest of the greenhouse is a working space that can be in various states depending on what projects we have going on. Dogs are allowed but they need to be leashed due to our free ranging ducks and the closeness of the road. We can occasionally provide eggs and some veggies and herbs for tea for a small fee if it’s arranged in advance.We provide a fire pit and kindling but ask that you bring your own fire wood that has been purchased in the area so as not to bring in any new pests.The parking area is large enough if you want to bring a boat or trailer.Our spot is 3 miles from downtown Freeport and is located near a commuter road so it’s easy access to many spots.Freeport is a coastal town with two state parks, lots of great diverse trails which are well maintained and lots of restaurants/breweries. We are a short drive from Portland, Brunswick and Bath which both have lots of parks and restaurants. Lisbon falls and new Glouster also have great trails and restaurants that are amazing yet less crowded than Portland. We are a short drive from family destinations like the desert of Maine in Freeport, Maine wildlife park in grey and the old orchard boardwalk. We are about 40 min from popham beach to the north and 40 min to crescent beach, old orchard beach and Scarborough beach to the south.As hosts, we are around if you need us but happy to give as much space and privacy as you would like. If we are out working in the fields or hanging out with our kids, we are happy to give tours or talk about any of the gardens or plants that catch your interest. This is a working farm so walking around must be at your own risk, there are bees and ticks and some tripping hazards to be mindful of.We have rented this cabin through Air b-n-b for several years.
