Our guests are welcome to kayak, canoe, swim, fish, and paddle board from the shores of The Queen’s Property, or one of 5 Right of Ways on Watkins Shores Road owned by our Association. Access to your private waterfront is a short stroll through our woods. The cabin is near the road, which is great for loading in and loading out, but you will hear/see cars drive by. (Read our reviews, we stand by them!) The Bear River, which is a beautiful spot to swim and wade in, runs right through the property- but it's also drinking water and a protected watershed. On our generational 1860s saltwater farm, you’re surrounded by all the scenery, wildlife, and serenity Maine is known for- old stone walls in the field, pine forest trails, the rocky coastline and private beach. This is a rustic but comfortable stay. **There is no power or water** but for your comfort you’ll find: -Comfortable Queen bed, with mosquito netting and all linens included. Toad Hall was great! Amazing place to stay in the fall/winter. Cozy for 2 people with provided cots & camping chairs! The heater and shelter from the rain was great. Hearing the creek water at night was relaxing. Mike was so nice and communicative! Would definitely stay here again!

We loved our time at Slippery Rock Trail! The site is very private, quiet and well-maintained. We loved being able to kayak along the river and take naps in the hammock. The bed was comfortable and the outhouse was clean & well-stocked. The hosts warmly greeted us when we arrived to take us to the site, gave us a map with the surrounding walking trails, and made sure we had everything we needed to make sure our stay was a pleasant one. :)

The lake was warm still, clean, the views were beautiful. We were the last campers of the season so we had lots of privacy. The cabin had a fridge for us, a few basics re: utensils, plates , cups, washbin, an extra blanket, and a pull out couch. A fan, space heater, and toaster/coffeemaker. The space heater worked well at night. The bathroom was close and it had a full kitchen sink to wash, stall shower, toilet stall. There are motion sensor lights at night for the scaredy cats. Dumpster on site.

Absolutely incredible! Would definitely book again. We got lucky enough to have the whole camp to ourselves. We brought the kayak down to the water (about a 5 min walk) and paddled around all afternoon. Little walking trails all around the property. Grill for cooking and plenty of fire wood although I did bring my own. Quiet but close enough to town. Super response host and beautiful land. Thank you for having us!

Hazelbrook is a magical place to call home. I rented this cabin as part of a work trip and it was the perfect respite to come home to after a day of work. Hazel and Michael have thought of everything. There are charming touches everywhere - literally everywhere! The outdoor shower is delightful and the bed was so comfy. The lighting, the personal touches, the thoughtfulness, the quiet, the great conversation with Hazel and Michael - it all contributed to a five-star stay! I’ll no don’t be back.
