I accept travelers between 4 and 9 pm but like all of us schedules fluctuate and we can roll some. There's a strong chance on an average Maine clear summer evening, I have the campfire going and the solar lights around the yard are charged for their evening gentle show. All of the spaces I rent are bedrooms only. You walk a few steps/yards to my 5 bedroom home and access two showers and some kitchen use. I also have an outdoor shower and outdoor kitchen that is cute and for your use. It's fun to cook on the fire too! I prefer folks to limit cooking esp in hot weather but support healthier eating and may share some of my foraging tips. The rooms are equipped with plenty of linens and fan power. You will be cozy either way the temps go. There is a lovely porch on the log home where you can sit and enjoy the sunset and lots of wildlife activity. The back yard has tether ball and lots of seating as well as the good sized fire pit with ghosts of hundreds of fireside chats gone by. I look forward to ours! Next door there is a gravel road on a lightly traveled road for your walking or biking pleasure. I am happy to join you in a hilly roller coaster cycling experience and have a few bikes to offer up. I am a WWOOF host and have occasional "helpers" and you are welcome to explore my veggie and flower gardens. This host loves board games and crafts so is often ready to share either or both with guests. There are 150 acres around me that are wooded and pathed so your pup will love it too. It started years ago my sister and I stayed in a yurt at a campground in Oregon. That was it. I was hooked so I got one. There is something magical about staying in a round structure in the trees. My love of nature and comfort drove me to create this special place to be able to share it with others. My TreeYurt is a platform built high in the trees so it essentially like a treehouse but with a yurt instead. It is located in the back part of my property surrounded by woods. In the spring there is a small stream running nearby. The land is somewhat sloped yet comfortable. There are apple orchards nearby and many hiking trails a short distance away as well as Portland a mere 15 minutes. The kitchenette has a small fridge a toaster oven a coffee maker a cook top with two burners pots pans utensils plates and bowls and kitchen towels as well a propane grill outside. There is a wood stove for heating in the winter as well as a monitor heater that makes it very cozy for chilly nights. The yurt is insulated so it is a great year round glamping (glorified camping) adventure. I provide fire some wood for the wood stove inside but the camp fire wood for the outdoor fire pit is $5 per bundle. The outhouse has a dry flush toilet and instructions at located in the yurt and out house. There is seasonal running water (May through October) for the outdoor sink which is available for use for dishwashing and a bit of cleaning up. Also an outdoor shower is available for use May through October and biodegradable soaps and shampoo are provided. I provide gallons of drinking water and dishwashing water for the colder months inside the yurt with dish tubs sponges and soap.

Biddeford is a rapidly rebuilding mill town that has made several high profile food and travel publications for its great dining spots. If you are visiting to get away from the city, we are less than a mile away from the Eastern Trail which connects South Portland to Kittery, ME. Bring a bike or plan a quiet walk. I accept travelers between 4 and 9 pm but like all of us schedules fluctuate and we can roll some. There's a strong chance on an average Maine clear summer evening, I have the campfire going and the solar lights around the yard are charged for their evening gentle show. All of the spaces I rent are bedrooms only. You walk a few steps/yards to my 5 bedroom home and access two showers and some kitchen use. I also have an outdoor shower and outdoor kitchen that is cute and for your use. It's fun to cook on the fire too! I prefer folks to limit cooking esp in hot weather but support healthier eating and may share some of my foraging tips. The rooms are equipped with plenty of linens and fan power. You will be cozy either way the temps go. There is a lovely porch on the log home where you can sit and enjoy the sunset and lots of wildlife activity. The back yard has tether ball and lots of seating as well as the good sized fire pit with ghosts of hundreds of fireside chats gone by. I look forward to ours! Next door there is a gravel road on a lightly traveled road for your walking or biking pleasure. I am happy to join you in a hilly roller coaster cycling experience and have a few bikes to offer up. I am a WWOOF host and have occasional "helpers" and you are welcome to explore my veggie and flower gardens. This host loves board games and crafts so is often ready to share either or both with guests. There are 150 acres around me that are wooded and pathed so your pup will love it too. It started years ago my sister and I stayed in a yurt at a campground in Oregon. That was it. I was hooked so I got one. There is something magical about staying in a round structure in the trees. My love of nature and comfort drove me to create this special place to be able to share it with others. My TreeYurt is a platform built high in the trees so it essentially like a treehouse but with a yurt instead. It is located in the back part of my property surrounded by woods. In the spring there is a small stream running nearby. The land is somewhat sloped yet comfortable. There are apple orchards nearby and many hiking trails a short distance away as well as Portland a mere 15 minutes. The kitchenette has a small fridge a toaster oven a coffee maker a cook top with two burners pots pans utensils plates and bowls and kitchen towels as well a propane grill outside. There is a wood stove for heating in the winter as well as a monitor heater that makes it very cozy for chilly nights. The yurt is insulated so it is a great year round glamping (glorified camping) adventure. I provide fire some wood for the wood stove inside but the camp fire wood for the outdoor fire pit is $5 per bundle. The outhouse has a dry flush toilet and instructions at located in the yurt and out house. There is seasonal running water (May through October) for the outdoor sink which is available for use for dishwashing and a bit of cleaning up. Also an outdoor shower is available for use May through October and biodegradable soaps and shampoo are provided. I provide gallons of drinking water and dishwashing water for the colder months inside the yurt with dish tubs sponges and soap.

Welcome to Eweturn Farm, nestled along the serene banks of the Androscoggin River at the historic Gulf Island Dam site. In addition to Highland cows and Dorper sheep, the farm continues to supply hay, practice forestry, and produce maple syrup. Embracing agro-tourism, Eweturn Farm strives to demonstrate sustainable living practices. To further this mission, ETF has created 2 private all inclusive tenting sites along the "upriver" piece of land, encompassing 300 acres of woods, fields, trails, and waterways formed by the Gulf Island Dam. Guests are invited to explore nature trails, fish in the river, or paddle in canoes or kayaks. Keep an eye out for bald eagles, deer, and wild turkey, common sights in this picturesque and very private location. Arrange a visit to meet the cows, sheep, and chickens at our nearby farm. We had the best time at Lisa's cabin. The cabin was super comfortable and accomodating. It had a everything we need for our stay, from plenty of kitchen supplies to extra blankets. The outhouse was also very clean and just a short walk from the cabin. We also enjoyed the walk down to the river. This spot really has it all. We will be back!

Mark greeted us immediately when we arrived and was incredibly friendly and helpful. The cabin is clean and cozy. The composting outhouse was one of the nicest I've ever seen! Relaxing by the firepit on a chilly morning was wonderful. Could not have asked for a better stay.

We had an amazing girls trip night in the yurt! Nicole was so helpful and responsive and the property was stunning. We met 2 of their super friendly dogs, one of whom accompanied us on a walk down to the brook! The yurt was incredibly cozy and we were lucky enough to get to see the first snow that night. We look forward to returning to the yurt again sometime!

We loved our stay at Emerald Green Cabin. We have stayed at many off-the-grid cabins, and this was one of our favorites. Very clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the ease of the kitchen set-up with the propane stove. The woodstove kept us plenty warm during the cold nights. Apart from some of the places we've stayed, you could notice the care and thought put into the design, build, and furnishment of the cabin. The path down to the river was fun and well-marked, though the water level was a little low due to the drought...as we expected. Lisa was an excellent host, responsive without being intrusive. We highly recommend the Emerald Green Cabin.

My friend and I had a great stay at Jacqueline’s! The farm was beautiful and the campsite itself was peaceful and secluded. Although it felt tucked away, we weren’t far from some smaller towns and enjoyed plenty of biking and hiking nearby. Definitely enjoyed the convenience of not having to set up a tent etc. upon arrival, and appreciated their gesture of sharing a bit of firewood and a full cooler of water to allow us to settle in easily as we arrived fairly late. Thanks for a great stay!!

Amazing stay overall!! Ken and Jen were very communicative and so kind when we arrived. Instantly made us feel welcomed, and their camper was adorable and kept us very cozy/warm even though it was in the 40s at night. On our generational 1860s saltwater farm, you’re surrounded by all the scenery, wildlife, and serenity Maine is known for- old stone walls in the field, pine forest trails, the rocky coastline and private beach. This is a rustic but comfortable stay. **There is no power or water** but for your comfort you’ll find: -Comfortable Queen bed, with mosquito netting and all linens included.
