The end of the driveway is a large crushed gravel parking pad which should easily accommodate any RV or trailer (make sure you back in, there's no room to turn around). The pad is mostly flat, but minor leveling on RV's is probably still needed. Site overlooks Flanders Bay which feeds into Mount Desert Narrows. Watch the family of 5 eagles fly back and forth across the cove and bring binoculars to watch them as they perch in nearby trees. If you have a bike-- head to the nearby Sunrise Trail or country roads. Head there too, if you have shoes and want a measured run (it goes about 87 miles through field, forest, swamp and bog with mileage noted). Eastport is a nearby seaside town with an arts center, shops and dining about 15 minutes away. You can go whale watching and you might just see porpoise, whales, eagles and Old Sow Whirlpool, the largest whirlpool in the Americas. Or stay on shore, and hunt for sea glass and cool rocks. Grab something to eat while you are there, and check out Don Dunbar's amazing nature photography and local gifts. There is also coastal hiking at Shackford Head. We have an inviting, cozy 2-bedroom cottage on Flanders Pond. The sunrises are fabulous, there is a private dock with kayak and canoe in the summer, hammock hanging between the shade trees, firepit for evenings outside and lots of stargazing to do! Unplug, recharge, and get away from all the hustle & bustle. We do have a TV for the occasional rainy-day movie, with 2 comfy recliners in the loft. The living room, however, has a fabulous view, not only of the sunrises but sunsets across the pond on the other shore. Grab a glass of wine, sit on the couch and watch the sky change right before your eyes. Approximately 45 minutes from Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor or 35 minutes from Acadia National Park at Schoodic Point. Spend the day exploring Ellsworth, Bar Harbor or Downeast, hiking one of the many trails or mountains we have nearby, or hang out here swimming, paddling, fishing or napping. Regardless of what you do during the day you will find Sunrise Shores Hideaway very restful, calm and welcoming when you return. With a full kitchen to cook some delicious Maine food and a spa-like bathroom to soak in the tub or shower before you head to bed, you will be well rested and ready for the next adventure. The downstairs bedroom has black out shades and a closet to hang your clothes. The upstairs bedroom has dresser for your clothes, a skylight for stargazing as you drift off to sleep and eye masks if the moon is too bright or you want to sleep past sunrise. I guarantee you will want to be up having a cup of coffee on the deck watching the show the sunrise puts on. We have a designated workspace for those who must bring work with them, and Wi-Fi to get connected. Our land is great for those who travel with their dogs, we have a pet bed and if your fur baby is well mannered and friendly, being off leash is fine.

We enjoyed the beach, and I would highly consider coming back at a warmer time. The campsite we stayed at wasn’t as big as it looked in photos, so there was some maneuvering near the old house to fit our two tiny trailers. It was an hour to the main Acadia entrance, but so beautiful out there. If camping in tick season, bring spray and check your dogs. We were covered. Beach was 100/10.

We had the best time at this site. The views were absolutely incredible. We had better sunset views from the campsite than we even would in Acadia. Having the water, electric plug, and bathroom on site was so helpful, too. We ended up tent camping, but the little house was such an added perk, too for storage, spending time together, etc. I can’t recommend this spot enough!!

This truly is a private oasis. We did not see a single person when staying at Raphaele’s land! The view of the water was awesome, but with a quick hike through the mossy forest you’re down by the water for an even better view. We took our camper trailer, beware you do have to back in from the road with trailers, but it was worth it. We were able to watch harbor seals catching fish at high tide, and the birding is amazing with forest and ocean birds in the same view. The outdoor shower was great, and the sink was nice to wash dishes in. For our camper we had electricity and water. This is a really cool spot with great views and animal activity. I highly recommend if you like privacy and the great outdoors!

Loved the seclusion of the site. Views are amazing and we got the best sunsets. Loved hiking around the preserve and down to Schoodic point. A frame is well equipped and quiet even with some windy nights. Bed was a bit small for me plus wife, but any larger would be tough to fit in the cabin I presume; would stay again!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the seclusion was so profound that it created a wonderfully eerie atmosphere at night! One of the highlights of our trip was the outdoor shower—it was simply spectacular, providing an unforgettable open-air bathing experience with breathtaking views of the night sky. Speaking of views, the scenery from the property was nothing short of stunning, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers. We chose this campsite as our base while visiting Acadia National Park, and while it was about a 40-minute drive from the visitor center, the journey was absolutely worth it. Just a heads up for future visitors: the electric hookup is quite a distance from the campsite. Make sure to bring a long extension cord; we ended up connecting two to reach our camper. It would be a nice enhancement if a long extension cord was provided on site for convenience. Overall, I highly recommend Eagle View Coastal Campground. The privacy, views, and outdoor amenities make it a top-notch destination for camping enthusiasts. We loved every moment of our time there!

We loved this place so much we booked 5 days originally only to extend and stay 14. Most definitely one of my favorite campsites ever. Woods, beach, calm, quiet, serenity, sunsets! private, harbors, trails, kayaks, Acadia! Really loved this place and the beauty it offers..other guests indicated they had returned 3 and 4 times already. Cannot say enough about Lily, just an amazing host and person who went way out of her way to navigate a few challenges (imposed by ourselves) during our stay. Quick to respond to all of it and had solutions all along the way. Would vote best host of any stay and cannot wait to return to this amazing property. An amazing variance of sunsets and the bay was completely still and other times crashing waves at the private beach. Would give it 10 stars if I could. Thanks Lily!

The a frame at The Point is magical. We just visited for our 5th year in a row. Stay a few nights. Be there for sunset every night. Enjoy the water as it comes up to your fire pit and enjoy walking along the beach as the tide goes out. Be prepared to see the stars like you never have before. We look forward to returning again.
