The tent site is located on the same property as Robinson's Housekeeping Log Cottages. The business was started with one small cabin in 1920 by William Robinson and his wife Shirley. The cottages are located on the bank of the Dennys River, on land owned by generations of Robinsons since 1875. There are 6 log cottages and one small clapboard cottage located on the property. We also have direct access to the Sunrise Trail. Learn more about this land: This campsite is located on the bank of the Dennys River and very close to the small pond also on the property. Happy Dwelling rests on 8 acres of land. Woods create a private and peaceful stay. You may enjoy starry night skies and soft orange sunrises. Just a short walk, is the lovely Sunrise Trail, a converted old train line, for biking, walking, four-wheeling, and horseback riding. Lakes are close by for swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. Learn more about this land: Open green space surrounded by pine trees. The sites are nestled in spaces surrounded by trees for a sense of peace and privacy. Firepits are at each site. Also on-site, chair and table massage by appointment (I am the Massage Therapist!). We built a new outhouse! It's beautiful! Potable water is available by hose from my house. There are lots of hiking trails in the area. If you're interested in touring some of the towns nearby, Lubec, Eastport, Machias, and Campobello Island are all good choices. And, they all have a hiking trail or two, and I place to have lunch

Karen’s Campsite - Boyden Lake

2 sites · Lodging, RVs1 acre · Calais, ME
My great-grandfather had a camp on Boyden’s Lake. My Mom has spent summers at Boyden’s Lake since she was six years old. I grew up spending summers at Boyden’s Lake in the same camp my parents still own. As an adult, I bought a camp on the same lane as my parents’ camp. We call my camp “Karen’s Cabin” to differentiate between the two camps. I have been renting my cabin by the week in the summer. I also own the vacant lot next to my cabin lot. I would like to rent my vacant lot to people with RV’s. A friend of mine suggested that I rent it because more people are traveling in RV’s these days. It is a nice spot, a gravel lot near Boyden’s Lake with beach access. I am posting this on August 10th, 2021. It is available immediately. If all goes well and I rent the lot this year, hopefully, I can get feedback on amenities to add next year. Visit Boyden’s Lake, I hope you like it as much as my family does.

Woodlot Farm Campin

5 sites · Tents15 acres · Calais, ME
Technically 2 lots in total with a combined 15 acres of the land that is mostly wooded. There is about an acre of non-wooded land that includes a gravel driveway that is very wide in the middle, which is an RV and cargo trailer pad to accommodate campers' rigs. There are 2 entrances for Woodlot Farm off of Steam Mill Rd, which turns into a fantastic, popular jeep/ATV rd (also used for hiking and mountain biking) at the property. There is a small organic farm that operates on site. It is very peaceful and quiet onsite. There is a small chicken coop and fenced area next to the RV pad for our dozen plus chickens. There is a 1/2 acre vegetable/flower/herb garden at the far entrance. There is a porta-potty on site. The half acre pond is mostly spring fed, so it's great for taking a dip to cool off when it's hot. Star gazing is recommended on clear nights as the light pollution is very low. The lightning bugs, owl hoots and frog chirps are an audible treat for relaxation. A great spot for ATV enthusiasts to pitch a tent right at the trail that connects to nearby lakes and numerous other trails. Make a special adventure out of it, and have a grand Maine camping experience.

Downeast Maine Sunrise☀️

1 site · RV2 acres · Cherryfield, ME
Front of property borders on Route One and back of property borders on Downeast Sunrise Trail. https://sunrisetrail.org/ The Down East Sunrise Trail is 87 miles and is the longest off-road trail on the East Coast Greenway through a natural landscape of green forests and vast marshes, habitat for iconic moose, beavers, eagles, wild turkeys and white tail deer. Open to bicycles, walking, horses, cross country skiing, ATVs, snowmobiles and the occasional dog sled, the trail offers a multi-season chance to see Downeast Maine in a new way!! Currently only walking and hiking available until spring is over. Park your RV or van in a driveway set away from my house. Large rocks border the entrance of driveway covered with grass. Street light at entrance on electric pole. The driveway has a grass covering but is solid gravel fill underneath. There is a cement slab to left of driveway for a future project of mine. Easy access to trail. (a few feet) No amenities offered. Enjoy the trail and surrounding area. Beautiful lakes and open ocean are a short drive from this property. (5-10 minutes) Occasionally neighbors across the street have a gun target site that they practice with. You will hear traffic driving by on Route One. No fires or use of weapons on property please. Please leave the property in the same condition as you have found it when you arrived. I prefer texts, thank you!!!
