Weekend Trip to Marshwiggle Farm

I had stayed at Marshwiggle previously on the bring-your-own-tent camp sites and it was awesome. This time when I booked, I didn't look too closely, so imagine my delight when I arrived and found a spacious, clean, bug-free tent with a full kitchen and a comfy queen bed! Sarah is a super responsive and accommodating host. I found s'mores supplies and a fresh vase of flowers when I arrived, and even though it was a disgusting 92 degrees and high humidity, the tent was pleasant-enough at night with the windows open. If you are not used to tent camping, I can see how this might feel too rustic, but as someone who usually does basic car camping, this was an incredible upgrade. I was staying in the area for a retreat, so I didn't cook any meals, but man, it would have be great to cook up some burgers or other things on the Blackstone and enjoy some local ciders by the fire. The kitchen seemed to have everything needed. I hope next time I come, I can stay long enough to get the breakfast add-on. The bathroom is also a nice upgrade from a typical vault toilet and I am grateful to have running water to wash my hands and face. The addition of the outdoor shower this year is FANTASTIC. It was so hot, I didn't use the heater, but it was really nice to take a cold shower before bed - just had to wait until it was late enough that the mosquitos were not completely swarming. I come to the area often, so I am already looking forward to my next stay!

Inn Between the Lakes is a unique location surrounded by farm fields. It's a 1880’s farm house, old barn and newer cottage sit on just under two acres. The main floor of the home is occupied by the owner. Accommodations are available on the second floor of the house, in the cottage, and on the grounds. The upstairs second floor of the home has its own access and is separate from the rest of the house. Three private bedrooms share bathrooms and a porch/living room with a fabulous view. Completely renovated in 2023. This included adding a shared kitchenette, remodeling each bedroom, the bathroom and adding a powder room. Across the deck is the cottage. The newly remodeled suite features a king bed, cotton sheets, a convenient kitchenette, ADA friendly bathroom, private patio and deck. Set up your tent or RV under a lovely shady tree or near the limitless expanse of a waving corn field. Enjoy your morning coffee while relaxing on the large deck to the sound of running water meandering to the Koi pond. Grill steaks on one of the BBQ grills. Toast marshmallows at the little table fire pit on the the deck or down at the campfire circle. Take a stroll around the property and enjoy the gardens. Many varieties of vegetation, flowers, trees, herbs and vegetables. On the north edge of the property is the old 1900 hay barn. It was moved to the property in the 1950’s and has several unique qualities, and is available for weddings or boutique event venue.

Nestled in its own 10 acre woods. Both of these properties are primitive ( no running water in an out house for a bathroom). Firewood is provided and there are trails in the woods to walk. The Mirror lake property has been a family farm for over 185 years. There is a family cemetery that dates to 1832. If you want to be around a lot of people in the fast track this is not the place for you. If you’re looking for peace, quiet, tranquil, social distance but still enjoyed this is the place for you!

Mustang is currently working on what will be called "Bath Row" with the plan of them being finished by July 1, 2024. Bath row will consist of 10 restroom units. Each unit will have it's own private toliet, shower and changing area. Camp Fires are allowed within the fire rings provided at each camp site. Please keep them under control and make sure they are totally out before leaving the camp site. Check in time is 3pm EST Check out is 11am EST. Quiet time is 10 PM to 7 AM Trash cans are located throughout the park. Please tie trash bags completely closed and put your trash completely in the trash container. If the first can is full, please find another container. Please do not place your trash on the ground. Possums and racoons are attracted to left out or disposed of food and while we think they are cute and wonderful animals, we don’t want you to find a surprise in the night of a visiting racoon at your site because of incorrectly disposed of trash! Feel free to bring your own bike. Riding bicycles on our main entrance road is prohibited for the safety of your children and our incoming guests. You are able to ride them everywhere else on the property, just not the main driveway. Cancelling your reservation on the day of or within 7 days prior to arrival will result in no refund. Cancelling your reservation 8 to 14 days prior to arrival, you will be refunded half of your total stay. Cancellations 15 or more days will receive a full refund minus a $15 processing fee. There will be no refunds after you have checked in, for inclement weather, failure to follow the Rules & Regulations, or disorderly conduct.
