Hones Pointe was established in 1988. It was built by four insurance agents to elude our sales managers so we could enjoy a unique natural setting. Over the years, we have planted many different varieties of trees and perennials to observe. Also evidence exists of this area being an Indian camp long ago as suggested by arrowheads and an old handmade rock wall. Primitive camping where you can pick your own scenic spot. We will furnish picnic table, fire ring, garbage can, and charcoal grill during your campout. Welcome!

Our secluded riparian area at the confluence of Sugar Creek and East Little Sugar (aka Snail Creek) has been operated by our family as a place of solitude, relaxation, river fishing and canoeing for over 100 years*. 'Miami 'Indians' camped here year-round for centuries before the Euro Pioneers arrived in 1821. During the early-1800s, a stagecoach station on the Cincinnati-Indianapolis line was built upon the Indian village. (Yes, stagecoaches in Indiana - that's how even Easterners got around before railroads). During WWII our Camp provided RnR for soldiers, sailors and Army aviators stationed at the numerous training bases and facilities in/around Indianapolis and Central Indiana. It was our Granddad's Duty Station at age 60 while Grandma ran the canteen. 25 miles SE of Indianapolis (Crossroads of America), 90 mi from Cincy via I-74, a 100 from L'ville or 200 from Chicago via I-65/465, 180 from Columbus, OH via I-70/465/74 or I-71/74. 6 miles from off I-74 Exit 109 at Fairland Rd (Cesar's Horseshooe Indianapolis Casino); 8 miles from I-65 Exit 97 at Worthville Rd, Camp Restwood is readily available to travelers on I-74, I-65, I-70 or I-69. We are also close for the sites for B1G, NCAA Playoffs, and Olympic Swim fans, and to the Whitewater Railroad and Canal.

Enjoy a riverfront property with beautiful views of historic Madison, Indiana, and direct access to the Ohio River for fishing, boating, and kayaking. Walk or take a short drive across the bridge to enjoy Madison's annual events, including the Chautauqua Festival of Art, the Madison Regatta Unlimited Hydroplane Race, the Rooster Tail Music Festival, and many others. For more information, visit VisitMadison.org. The RV site features a 26' x 66' concrete RV pad with 50-, 30-, and 20-amp electric service, plus water and sewer hookups. There is a picnic table and fire ring for your use on the site. Take in amazing sunrise and sunset views over the Ohio River! The RV closest to the river is ours, and we enjoy staying there a few days each week. The concrete RV slab for rent is 43' above summer pool of the Ohio River. Spring flooding can reach this high (about once every 20 years), but rarely will this site be impacted. You are more than welcome to set up on the gravel pad in front of the slab for better awning use, assuming you power cord and water will reach but there is no sewer drop. You may pull out in the grass to get aligned and use the lawn for games, etc. The gravel pad is not as level as the concrete so setup may take a little longer. When there are no vehicles next to our camper, please feel free to sit in the shade in front of our unit to enjoy the waterfront. When we are here you are welcome to say hello and we will respect your privacy as we would at any campground I do want to advise that while there is wonderful views and lawn space on the property, we are in the city limits and there are neighbors and some traffic noise. Please respect quiet time after 10pm and neighboring property. There is a floating dock for kayak, boat tie up, swimming, fishing, or just sitting and enjoying the waterfront. Please be safe. There are life jackets free to borrow at the City of Milton municipal building on the hilltop on highway US421 just a couple miles south of town. The is a public boat ramp just down the road. Milton has a nice Dairy Queen, gas stations, and a liquor store. There is a park across the road with a 1 mile loop for exercise and dog walks.
