THE BAPTISMAL POND: As history goes the pond in front of this site was used in the 1800's for baptisms for the church visible from everywhere on the farm, thus our name.
This is a tent site, easy to drive into and out of, fires permitted in season.
THISTLEDOWN GATHERING PLACE: This is a very large meadow, surrounded by trees with the capacity for large groups, many tents and gatherings of lots of people.

WHITETAIL SANCTUARY: Every night for decades a herd of whitetail deer graze in this pastoral setting.

THE PENNINSULA:
This camping spot is WALK IN ONLY.
You can drive to the trailhead on grass and walk the path to the campsite (about 200 yards).
One of two remote sites.
It sits in the woods, on the bank of a wet weather creek which flows around two sides of the campsite.

TOTEM TREES: This site is WALK IN ONLY.
A short hike down the hill from the grass parking area and you have a small spot for a tent, in the woods, surrounded by trees and a lot of standing dead ash which appear as if you are in the presence of totem poles.

In addition, you will likely need a brake-control system installed for coming down the hill. Front-wheel drive vehicles with high clearance should be satisfactory to cross the bridge and exit the steep hill as long as you are not pulling an RV.

Typically, as we are on a back road, it is fairly quiet but some drivers may be louder than others and some evenings see more traffic.

Take in amazing sunrise and sunset views over the Ohio River! The RV closest to the river is ours, and we enjoy staying there a few days each week.
The concrete RV slab for rent is 43' above summer pool of the Ohio River. Spring flooding can reach this high (about once every 20 years), but rarely will this site be impacted. You are more than welcome to set up on the gravel pad in front of the slab for better awning use, assuming you power cord and water will reach but there is no sewer drop. You may pull out in the grass to get aligned and use the lawn for games, etc. The gravel pad is not as level as the concrete so setup may take a little longer.
When there are no vehicles next to our camper, please feel free to sit in the shade in front of our unit to enjoy the waterfront. When we are here you are welcome to say hello and we will respect your privacy as we would at any campground
I do want to advise that while there is wonderful views and lawn space on the property, we are in the city limits and there are neighbors and some traffic noise. Please respect quiet time after 10pm and neighboring property.
There is a floating dock for kayak, boat tie up, swimming, fishing, or just sitting and enjoying the waterfront. Please be safe. There are life jackets free to borrow at the City of Milton municipal building on the hilltop on highway US421 just a couple miles south of town. The is a public boat ramp just down the road.
Milton has a nice Dairy Queen, gas stations, and a liquor store. There is a park across the road with a 1 mile loop for exercise and dog walks.

Sadona Farms is a true working farm, and the property changes with the seasons.
We grow lavender and flowers, maintain a market garden, and have chickens, goats, peacocks, and honeybees on the farm.
During the growing season, our farm stand may have farm-fresh eggs, honey, seasonal vegetables, baked goods, and other farm products available. The farm stand operates on the honor system, so feel free to stop by and see what we have available during your stay.

We’re approximately 5 minutes from I-65, making it easy to get off the interstate, rest for the night, and get back on the road the next morning without going far out of your way.
We’re about 2 miles from the Scottsburg town square and approximately 10 minutes from Walmart if you need food, groceries, or other travel necessities.

We have chickens, ducks, guinees, a large garden, many flower gardens, flowering plants, trees, and bushes, large mature trees, and a small lake, full of large catfish, bass, bluegill and crappie. A small shelter with a large picnic table and benches around the lake. There are chairs and 2 installed hammocks for your enjoyment. There is also 2 fishing benches, a place for a campfire, a stainless steel propane grill, firewood, and a great place for private walks.

Our host Jeff was AMAZING and responsive. He was away on vacation but still responded when we needed him. If you have a BIG rig just know that you will not be able to fit on the pad straight aligned with the hookups. We are inexperienced RV’ers and we tried to get straight on the pad but we ended up getting slightly stuck and had to call a pro in. There is a little dip behind the pad just enough that our jacks got caught on it. We ended up parking diagonally which worked well. We just needed to use our extension for the sewer but the view was amazing! Our dogs had a blast!! Very nice place to stay and easy access to Madison, IN which has all the fun places to eat and drink.

We stayed at George’s place for music festival at the expo center and it was perfect! We brought our bicycles for transportation as it’s only a 2.5 mile ride. We greatly appreciated the hot showers and porta potties. And Butter the kitty was a sweet touch. 😊

Jessica and her farm are the best! Took our 7 yo horse crazy kiddo for her birthday. The horses were so sweet, good with the kids, and fun to visit! My littler kiddos were obsessed with the chickens and dogs. What a tiny heaven to visit. Parking the camper was easy, shady, and easy to hook up. Thank you, Jessica, for a wonderful trip!

Nice quiet peaceful stay. The other reviews mention roadway noise, but the sites are quite elevated and the noise, even with all windows open was minimal, even less at night. The deer were plentiful! Shade or sun, fire ring, even a pop up potty was available. I would def visit again! The host mentions 4x4 recommended, I agree. But worth it :) Met Eryn as she walked her pup. Friendly and nice of her to check in and offer wifi. The road leading to the property is winding, with no shoulders, and locals can go fast, fair warning if you're not used to it. Thanks for the stay Eryn!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. So sweet to pet the beautiful horses, see the chickens and pot belly pigs. My dog, Scout loved the scenery as well. Jessica met us as soon as I let her know we were there and helped us get situated. It was a quiet camp and very beautiful. I highly recommend staying here. Well worth the money.

Hook ups were easy to access. Laundry room was available though I didn’t use it, showers were clean in good running order and the bathroom was very clean too.
Next door to a city park that had a small lake with a sidewalk around it, great for travelers with fur babies.

I had a great stay Lightening Bug Landing. Host was very nice and welcoming. Even though the road was close, there is very little traffic after dark. It didn't bother me at all.
I see a deer meander through my campsite, and a turtle had coffee with me in the morning.
They do have a steep driveway, but I made it through just fine with my little car. I would come back again!.

We had a wonderful and peaceful time. We camper for two nights and found the site to be clean and welcoming and as described. We were able to buy some firewood and enjoyed a nice campfire. Eryn was very welcoming and helpful. Her sites were located very will within a short distance to attractions and conveniences. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

We had a wonderful stay, our hosts were amazing from arrival to our departure. The farm is beautiful, picturesque, and quiet. We stayed beside the horse barn with electric and water, it was fantastic! We were in town for family visits and The Farm at Grace Hill fit our needs perfectly. If you are a horse lover this is a must visit, many horses are on site and we could visit with them at the barn when in their stalls. They also have a wandering pig that we enjoyed watching as it worked its way around the property. We would rate our stay as 5 stars, and would highly recommend this host.

Jessica’s farm was nothing short of amazing, we enjoyed waking up to all the animals and to a great view of her amazing farm. The farm feels remote but you're minutes from all amenities, and Churchill Downs is only a 25min drive. We highly recommend staying here and we look forward to booking here again in the future.
