When we bought this property 5 years ago, it was a little run down. Many years ago, it housed sheep and cows. We revamped our little 15-acre farm and continue to improve its looks. Now it is our home and houses my riding stable. Many people have commented on how nice it is. I thought this would be a great opportunity to share its beauty and the animals with others.Learn more about this land:We have 6 spots to pitch a tent, but we're pretty flexible so if you see another area, please ask!. Site 10 is most secluded. The others are around our grassy barnyard area where you're able toenjoy all of our different animals!. All sites are 2-5 mins from the main house. You will be staying at our horse farm. We have many chickens, 2 bunnies, potbelly pigs, feeder pigs (depending on the time of year), and our 3 house dogs. We offer overnight equine amenities as well. You can enjoy a small fire (weather dependent) or listen to the crickets and frogs under the starry night. Actually, you can do it all. We offer rides on the horses as well, (extra charges). You can even book a trip to the state park to ride the horse trails, which is only 15 minutes away. There is a great fishing lake 1 mile from the farm, so bring your poles & kayaks. There is a Dollar General, 2 gas stations, and a liquor store in our tiny little town if you forget anything.

The Hideaway is located on private property in Otis, Indiana. Three canvas tents line our man made, creek fed lake. The lake is over 6 acres and approximately 35 ft deep. The lake is stocked with catfish, bluegill, bass and other fish perfect for fishing. Wildflowers and natural paths are available for walking and scenic photoshoots. The property is near the tollroad. Some guests do not notice the noise others have been more sensitive to it. There is space for each site to have privacy. Each site has their own shower, flushing port-o-john, fire pit, dining area. There is a lovely creek that flows through the property, perfect for exploring and having fun for kids or the kid at heart! Lochloosa is like a sanctuary for wildlife and humans alike! Spend some time watching the many birds, arrange a tubing or kayaking trip on the river, fish off the riverbank, relax and have fun at the in ground saltwater pool complete with slide and diving board, or kick back at your campsite near the creek, gaining some ZEN while listening to the sounds of the babbling brook and watching the amazing sunrises and sunsets! Explore nearby Lake Maxinkuckee beach, named one of Indiana's top twelve lakes to visit and browse the shops and restaurants in Culver. Hello Campers, Here at J + M Acres we pride ourselves on providing a wonderful camping experience. When you book with us you get over 10 acres of 100% private camping land because we only allow one group per booking. Unlike other sites, we are more than willing to help get you and your gear out to and back from the campsite as well. We have two large open areas for camping and activities and just over a mile of walking trails. The main camping area has 16’x32’ deck with plenty of folding tables and two wrought iron tables w/ 8 chairs. The other large area has an 8’x10’ deck with love swing and a reclined swing thing. Lol We have a large fire pit and to make your life easier, firewood is available for purchase on site. There’s also a very nice outhouse with a cold water shower on the outside. The main trail and outhouse trails are both lit at night. The Haven camp site and wedding venue began in 2022, with a slow start; but as we jumped into the 2023 season, we made quite a bit of changes and ended the year with great success by: meeting new people and having many people come back for their second and third times! We strive to share the property that God has graciously blessed us with. The Haven is 3 acres of beautiful land on the St Joseph River. Our property setting is a hidden gem that opens to the most beautiful natural setting. The land offers a gorgeous view of the river and numerous shady sites nestled underneath a giant array of oak beach and walnut trees. Here at The Haven, the property has ample space for parking, room for various size camping tents and small pop-up tents small RV's, A dock for fishing, and access for kayaking. Fire pits and grill area for cooking and a complimentary bucket with some goodies to start you off. This setting is perfect for camping in a private nestled nook on the river. We have more than one area on the property to choose from. You can choose any site you would like: From the River’s edge, Beach Area (site 1) Small RV and tent site, or on the River under The Canopy of trees (site2) small RV and tent site. You also can stay at the Cozy corner (Site 3) by the woods and river in our new addition: Trailer that sleeps up to 4 people with all the amenities and can accommodate campers with tents as well, Or The Cove by the woods, small camper, and tent (site 4). Come Stargaze or hangout at the “spot” (dock) comfortably and lounge with views on the water or sit by the campfire at “The Pit.” Every site is first come first serve. When we bought this property 5 years ago, it was a little run down. Many years ago, it housed sheep and cows. We revamped our little 15-acre farm and continue to improve its looks. Now it is our home and houses my riding stable. Many people have commented on how nice it is. I thought this would be a great opportunity to share its beauty and the animals with others.Learn more about this land:We have 6 spots to pitch a tent, but we're pretty flexible so if you see another area, please ask!. Site 10 is most secluded. The others are around our grassy barnyard area where you're able toenjoy all of our different animals!. All sites are 2-5 mins from the main house. You will be staying at our horse farm. We have many chickens, 2 bunnies, potbelly pigs, feeder pigs (depending on the time of year), and our 3 house dogs. We offer overnight equine amenities as well. You can enjoy a small fire (weather dependent) or listen to the crickets and frogs under the starry night. Actually, you can do it all. We offer rides on the horses as well, (extra charges). You can even book a trip to the state park to ride the horse trails, which is only 15 minutes away. There is a great fishing lake 1 mile from the farm, so bring your poles & kayaks. There is a Dollar General, 2 gas stations, and a liquor store in our tiny little town if you forget anything.
