Our property is riverfront along the Aucilla River, and sits within the Aucilla Wildlife Management area. It is surrounded by nature and old Florida scenery. We are appx 45 mins from the little fishing village of Steinahatchee and 45 mins from Florida's State Capitol ,Tallahassee . Come to relax ! We offer kayaks and life jackets that can used at your risk. Scheduling is required . We have 3 singles, one being a fishing and one two persons. Furnished cottage with large river view windows and a walk around deck. The cottage is an open floor plan with king size bed and a full-size sleeper sofa. A comfy twin mattress bed can also be provided. Enjoy relaxing and watch the river flow by from the swivel rocker recliner. Climate controlled AC/Heating unit. Wall mounted swivel TV for easy viewing 200 channel Dish TV. Wi-fi available The cottage has a mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and dishware. BBQ grille located on outside deck and propane is provided. There is a gas fire pit on the north river deck and a wood burning fire pit along the riverbank, wood provided. The space River Rise Cottage is set up to offer a relaxing and enjoyable experience to make lasting memories. The cottage has large windows with outstanding river views and a walk around deck that you can fish from. Should it rain, you can enjoy the sound of the rain on the metal roof. Several feet from the cottage is a screened porch overlooking the scenic river, with plenty of comfortable seating and a daybed... should you want to nap. From this location It's not uncommon to see wildlife. A wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind in the evening bug free. Take a swing on the open porch, sit riverside at either our propane fire pit or have a campfire (firewood provided) which is also along the river nestled in the woods. We encourage guests to use the outdoor seating areas for the ultimate relaxation experience and to find your favorite spot! Bar-B-Q with our easy-to-use propane grill (utensils and grill pans provided). Our fish station makes cleaning your catch a breeze! Also available a full-size fridge located on the screened porch in addition to the mini fridge in the cottage. Guest access Large open deck with ladder access to the floating dock which is perfect for mooring your boat or launching kayaks. Kayaks are available for guest use. Provided are (2) single person (1) fishing single person and (1) two-person tandem kayaks with life vest. We offer a complimentary shuttle service for the 5-mile downstream Aucilla River to the Gulf of Mexico trip. This can be scheduled after your check-in. Use of the kayaks are at your "own risk" with no host liability. We encourage guest to enjoy the common areas porches at back of main house. Camp chairs are provided and can be used at the fire pit and along the riverbank. A public boat ramp is located within 300 yards north of the property and we have ample storage for you boat trailer during your stay. Other things to note: House rules for children staying at the cottage. We gladly accept children with the understanding that all children thirteen and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times outside the cottage due to its proximity over the river and being in a very natural wildlife environment. This is a strict requirement that will be compulsory. This is for the safety of your children while staying at the River Rise Cottage. We are pet friendly but do require that your pets are not left alone in the cottage. We have different size crates available, and these are provided at no extra charge in the event that you should leave the cottage and choose not to take your fur baby with you. There is a $50 non-refundable pet deposit fee for 1 -2 pets. A guest’s animal must not be: Out of control Unhouse broken. Left alone at the listing without prior approval. Allowed into areas that are considered unauthorized to the guest. Allowed in a public space without being harnessed, leashed, or tethered and not under the guest’s control. Excellent place to spend the night when visiting your kid at FSU. All other options in Tallahassee are ridiculously expensive. I have a campervan, which made it easy to park, plug into electricity (although I did not need it), and get fresh water (I used to make coffee). The host is welcoming and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again.

Her helpful advice on placement of our tent, lending her electric cord when we needed and just being a good hostess and accommodating to any request we had, opened our minds to new foods, simply put we loved it so much! she talked us out of even going to Golden Corral🤪 Totally Worth it and will definitely be coming back! Grateful to of had bug spray but as long as you’ve got the right kind you shouldn’t have too much of a problem with the bugs. Enjoyed the engagement throughout and had fun taking a cool dip in her pool, felt even better with it being no chemicals. We had a blast even with our time was mostly spent literally inside our tent 🏕️. Just close enough to town to give you your own mini adventure to grab a bite to eat. Love what is becoming of her Sanctuary and we’re already excited for her future transformation of this lovely and safe place. The cemetery was even kind enough to just be a loop hole for a bucket list, a quiet next door neighbor not to haunt or bother us at all so bonus for that also 🥳

We've reached the stage in our life that we look for experiences beyond just a place to stay over night. What a wonderful place. So many horses to see and pet. Really enjoyed our stay, and hoped it help support their rescue efforts. Our site faced the corals. Early in the morning I was sitting have coffee outside and one of the horses made eye contact, then walked over to the fence to say good morning. Pretty cool.

Had a wonderful time on Pamela’s farm! I was able to pitch my tent right near a horse pasture and had a lot of open space for camping. Pamela was very attentive and provided water, a restroom, as well as access to the barn to spend time with all of the animals. The donkeys especially were so sweet. It was a very unique and exciting experience that I will forever appreciate!

Beautiful trees. The owls hooting in the morning while I drank coffee was magical. This location was close to where I had an important early morning meeting. The electrical outlet was perfect for my fan. Follow the directions to the letter. It is as advertised.

The cottage was extremely clean and well laid out. Literally right over the water, so the view was beautiful and oh so peaceful. We were really able to unplug. Highly recommended for dog lovers or anyone needing to regroup! The space offers a perfect balance of privacy and accessibility. My dogs had a fantastic time exploring the property and were free to bark as much as they liked. P.J. welcomed their help while working in the yard, and another guest even played in the water with them. It truly felt like Disney for Dogs!

Ms.Marcia, or Ms.sweetie as I like to call her was amazing! Sweetest woman ever. Her and her family were very accommodating. The work they are doing here is amazing and beautiful. The ranch was clean and very well taken care of. They were very knowledgeable about their horses. She gave us a tour when we arrived and learned about all the horses and their personalities. The environment is very well maintained and also close to quite a few big-time parks and restaurants in tally. Anyone would be lucky enough to spend sometime in her space. I know I met a long time friend at this spot and would 100% return.
