This means we don't have many frills, but we are by far the closest RV site to central Atlanta, and the only one on MARTA public transit (right outside the gate). We are a rare gem in this city. One of the last areas that have been allowed to return to nature after being farmed until the 1960s. We are surrounded by 100s of acres of parkland, and yet are only 5 minutes drive from almost everything you will need. The county just purchased/swapped 50 more acres to go with the hundreds more under it's watch. We are a 501c3 non-profit church that is still in the early days of it's mission. Your donation to our site helps fund our mission and keeps the lights on. We are massively focussed on permaculture as the only sustainable way of life and rapidly moving towards being totally carbon neutral. You will be up close on our early days and see our Solar Roof Cabin (a total of 300 panels and 70kW output when completed). Weekend Trip to Secluded Riverbend Camp

We had a wonderful time tent camping here! It was very private and peaceful! Largest camping site we’ve ever had! The swing pictured in the listing was broken when we arrived which was a disappointment for our kiddos but we will definitely be back for more camping trips and maybe it’ll be fixed then! The creek was a wonderful spot to have coffee with the large rocks for sitting!

I had a wonderful stay on JoLane and Sam's place. JoLane offered prompt replies and all information needed for arrival. Sam (a veteran) met me and guided me to Site 4. We had a nice chat about local going-ons... all the more making me feel at home. The site was just right for my Colorado and 16ft camper. That being said, this site would be perfect for single or multiple tent camping! I enjoyed the peaceful feeling of being in remote, deep woods... without really being far away from conveniences or access to major roads. Do yourself a favor a spend a night or two here!

At the same time, you don't feel lost in the wild: there are other houses (nearest is maybe 2-3 hundred yards away, you can't see it, but you know it is there) and you can still drive to Warm Springs for your morning coffee. FHU worked perfectly, the site is flat and easy to back in. You may want to bring a flashlight because it is dark at night. Also bring outdoor table and chairs is you wanna sit by the campfire.

Weekend Trip to Secluded Riverbend Camp

The site was big, pleasantly tucked away, and I could hear the stream from my hammock. Loved smelling the pine needles as I got out of my car. I did hear some distant coyotes and highway noise, but the white noise of the water blocked most of it. Felt very safe and unbothered despite knowing some other properties were nearby. Will definitely be back!

My husband & I spent 3 nights at Risin’ RV. This is a cozy, urban camping experience. Location is great because you feel as though you’re in the country, however you are minutes from downtown East Atlanta. The community here is at a soft open. There is some construction going on, however it really didn’t interfere with our stay at all. You need to be self-contained to stay here because there are no bathrooms or showers. However, there are full hookups for RVs/trailer camping. The camp has a cat & chickens wandering around & that was really fun. Communication with the camp hosts was easy. The camp is secure & safe. There are 2 security gates & we were given a code for the keypad so we could come & go as we pleased. There was a little bit of road noise, however not significant. We had a quite, peaceful stay at Risin’ RV.

Beautiful spot overlooking the River. We visited High Falls state park, which was a really beautiful park. Not far to Jackson for Fresh Air BBQ. Overall a very nice site close to some great places to visit.

The location, convenience, and safety of this Hipcamp is great. Easy access to bike trails, bike lanes, and the bus system into downtown Atlanta was the closest in the area. Adding and changing dates and times was easy. Having access to the gate codes made coming and going easy, also. The chickens and roosters added a hone spun touch.

Loved Sherwood forest quiet to yourself camping woods and trails and Creek area was nice kids loved the goats all in all great camping experience will definitely be back in cooler weather no ticks and don't think I was bitten one time by mosquitoes or anything else so yea great place to camp .

Loved the location, we could ride our bikes all the way to the Atlanta Beltline bike trail. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The door to the street was very convenient, also. I loved the chickens and rooster visiting us, especially running to our RV when cooking and the smoke detector went off. Too funny.

We grow blueberries, blackberries and super sweet strawberries!!
