Our 501(c)(3) Non-Profit campsite has soft opening under way! This means we don't have many frills, but we are by far the closest RV site to central Atlanta, and the only one on MARTA public transit (right outside the gate). We are a rare gem in this city. One of the last areas that have been allowed to return to nature after being farmed until the 1960s. We are surrounded by 100s of acres of parkland, and yet are only 5 minutes drive from almost everything you will need. You will see the hand cut terraces put in by the farm workers and then the forest has spent the last 50 years taking it back. Still lots of old growth trees around though. The county just purchased/swapped 50 more acres to go with the hundreds more under it's watch. There is a 14 mile concrete trail that runs behind the property and all the way out along the south river. Quite the hike or bike if you fancy a good walk. There is a 18 hole golf course, sports fields, public pool and YMCA type community center all along the trail and walking distance from the campsite. We are a 501c3 non-profit church that is still in the early days of it's mission. Your donation to our site helps fund our mission and keeps the lights on. We are massively focussed on permaculture as the only sustainable way of life and rapidly moving towards being totally carbon neutral. You will be up close on our early days and see our Solar Roof Cabin (a total of 300 panels and 70kW output when completed). We make a lot of our infrastructure from windfallen and site development trees that are cut and shaped on our own electric sawmill. Much of the rest of the renovations are done using upcycled and donated materials. Weekend Trip to Secluded Riverbend Camp

We had a wonderful time tent camping here! It was very private and peaceful! Largest camping site we’ve ever had! The swing pictured in the listing was broken when we arrived which was a disappointment for our kiddos but we will definitely be back for more camping trips and maybe it’ll be fixed then! The creek was a wonderful spot to have coffee with the large rocks for sitting!

I had a wonderful stay on JoLane and Sam's place. JoLane offered prompt replies and all information needed for arrival. Sam (a veteran) met me and guided me to Site 4. We had a nice chat about local going-ons... all the more making me feel at home. The site was just right for my Colorado and 16ft camper. That being said, this site would be perfect for single or multiple tent camping! I enjoyed the peaceful feeling of being in remote, deep woods... without really being far away from conveniences or access to major roads. Do yourself a favor a spend a night or two here!

Weekend Trip to Surewood ForRest

Staying at the farm has been one of the best camping trips I’ve ever taken! Mrs Jo and Mr Sam were the absolute best hosts anyone could ask for! Had help unloading and bringing my gear to the site. They were also so nice to let me borrow a small heater for when it was going to get down to freezing. The weather was beautiful and the walks through the property were great. My dog and I thoroughly enjoyed being around the goats and the mule since we stayed at the goat site. Enjoyed waking up to the roosters and peacocks. Plenty of good deadfall for firewood and the sites are set up very well. I also brought home some soap and honey that were made at the farm. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend of relaxation and time in the woods. So many great things, but too many to list! You will definitely have to go experience it for yourself! I will definitely be returning!

Weekend Trip to Secluded Riverbend Camp

The site was big, pleasantly tucked away, and I could hear the stream from my hammock. Loved smelling the pine needles as I got out of my car. I did hear some distant coyotes and highway noise, but the white noise of the water blocked most of it. Felt very safe and unbothered despite knowing some other properties were nearby. Will definitely be back!

3 nights at Risin' RV

My husband & I spent 3 nights at Risin’ RV. This is a cozy, urban camping experience. Location is great because you feel as though you’re in the country, however you are minutes from downtown East Atlanta. The community here is at a soft open. There is some construction going on, however it really didn’t interfere with our stay at all. You need to be self-contained to stay here because there are no bathrooms or showers. However, there are full hookups for RVs/trailer camping. The camp has a cat & chickens wandering around & that was really fun. Communication with the camp hosts was easy. The camp is secure & safe. There are 2 security gates & we were given a code for the keypad so we could come & go as we pleased. There was a little bit of road noise, however not significant. We had a quite, peaceful stay at Risin’ RV.

Campground was very beautiful and peaceful. Darren was very accommodating and welcoming. It truly was an oasis very close to the city. I will definitely return.

Beautiful spot overlooking the River. We visited High Falls state park, which was a really beautiful park. Not far to Jackson for Fresh Air BBQ. Overall a very nice site close to some great places to visit.

1 night at Iremide Family Farm

Beautiful camp spot close to town! My friend and I just wanted to come in for the night while I was in town to get away. We didn't use the showers or amenities (like the canoes) but wish we'd had more time. The camp area was lovely, the firepit is large & the twinkling lights made it feel magical. Would recommend! Our only issue was the barking dogs surrounding the property, which Brittany has no control of. We ended up leaving at 2AM because we could not sleep...but I'm extra sensitive to noises so for the average person this may not be a problem.

1 night at Risin' RV

The location, convenience, and safety of this Hipcamp is great. Easy access to bike trails, bike lanes, and the bus system into downtown Atlanta was the closest in the area. Adding and changing dates and times was easy. Having access to the gate codes made coming and going easy, also. The chickens and roosters added a hone spun touch.

Weekend Trip to Surewood ForRest

Loved Sherwood forest quiet to yourself camping woods and trails and Creek area was nice kids loved the goats all in all great camping experience will definitely be back in cooler weather no ticks and don't think I was bitten one time by mosquitoes or anything else so yea great place to camp .

4 nights at Risin' RV

Loved the location, we could ride our bikes all the way to the Atlanta Beltline bike trail. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The door to the street was very convenient, also. I loved the chickens and rooster visiting us, especially running to our RV when cooking and the smoke detector went off. Too funny.

We grow blueberries, blackberries and super sweet strawberries!!

I had an enjoyable stay at the Sweet Berry Orchard. Communication was seamless. It was exactly as advertised and I will definitely stay again. Close to food, the interstate, and hiking trails.

It was everything we needed for our little family. Plenty of room to play on the grass; Brad was very welcoming. We overall love this farm, next time we have to check out the goats.
