Sunset Rock
This is a great site. You’re going for the sunsets, obviously, but everything else here is great too. The host is very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the area which me and my kids found fascinating. The location is super close to lots of great hiking, restaurants, and even Chattanooga’s attractions like Rock City were only 35 min away. We really enjoyed our stay.

Sunset Rock has a spectacular view and also an AMAZING “sunset” view.
Jim has a great set up of chairs with fire pits and covered areas too.

This spot is a gem. Such a beautiful place. Offers privacy and amazing sunset views. Jim is very attentive and helpful. There is firewood around the property. Cornhole boards are set up. He also leaves a brochure with lots of things to see/do. I really appreciated having the automated lights on the path leading to the picnic area. We will definitely be returning for another stay. Thanks for sharing your beautiful spot!!

We enjoyed every moment at Sunset Rock! Mr. Jim was so thoughtful and accommodating every step of the way, from extra driving directions, to making sure we made it safely, and providing everything we needed for our stay. The site was even more beautiful than we imagined or pictures could even do justice. The chairs were so comfy to enjoy the sunset each night and there were several places to sit and enjoy yourself around the property. It was perfect! Highly recommend!

BREATHTAKING!!! STUNNING!!! BEAUTIFUL!!! These are all words that will come to mind as you are sitting at Sunset Rock! Jim has done an amazing job of letting the surroundings show off! He has made it feel safe, comforting, like home. There is not a better host around! Jim was someone we wanted to sit next to a campfire with and just listen to him talk about life at Sunset Rock and its past. Thank you for an amazing and relaxing weekend! We will definitely be back!

Amazing views, and incredibly spacious! The property was clean and well taken care of and so very peaceful—and close to lots of hiking adventures! The host, Jim was knowledgeable and accommodating and with me being on my own, it was nice knowing he was there looking after the place. I definitely enjoyed myself and hope to stay there again someday. Such a treasure!!

Well, the title says it all. Absolutely beautiful place and I feel very fortunate to have had the chance to stay here. The host was just as wonderful as the property. He took the time to tell us some history of the area and told us places we may want to visit while we were here. We would absolutely love to stay again in the future.

Wonderful place to camp! It was quiet, peaceful, with an amazing view! The sunset and sunrises are beautiful and worth the watch. The host was very nice & helpful.

Sunset Ridge was a gorgeous, unexpected gem on the border of GA and AL. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Jim, was extremely helpful and accommodating in welcoming us after dark and ensuring we had everything we needed. The spot was on top of a mountain and cool during a hot spell, and the views and accommodations were spectacular (water, 50 AMP power, picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, gazebo, fire pit, firewood, a hammock and more)..,by far the best Hipcamp we’ve stayed at so far

James is a wonderful host. His property is a great place to get away and see the mountain views and relax. The site offers lots of seating and 50 amp electric and water with good pressure. We would for sure visit again.

Exceptional view and hospitality. James was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about the area, providing a full packet of information about local attractions and news. If he has the time, have him give you a little of the area’s history. It was a great experience having him point out in the valley where history happened.

This is our second time staying at Sunset Rock.
The view is great. My wife and I are retired Florida law enforcement officers and we felt very safe there. Mr. James made sure we had all.we needed.
He has done an outstanding job with being a host
