Weekend Trip to The Ole Place

I recently spent a weekend at a cozy cabin in the woods, and it was the perfect getaway. The cabin was tucked away in a serene location, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature. It had a rustic charm with modern touches The highlight of the stay was the porch, where we could sip hot coffee in the mornings while soaking in the fresh mountain air. We spotted some wildlife, which made the experience feel truly immersive. The cabin’s host was incredibly friendly, offering great tips on nearby attractions and ensuring everything was well-stocked. The only downside was the lack of cell service (which was actually a blessing in disguise), Overall, it was a peaceful, rejuvenating escape from city life. I’d highly recommend this kind of cabin retreat for anyone looking to disconnect and recharge.

Our time on George’s land was quite pleasant and provided everything that we needed. George was a very responsive host and helped us when needed. The only thing and it’s not George fault or his property. There’s a noise ordinance after 10pm which is standard and completely understandable but we noticed Saturday night the neighbors were target practicing it was a bit noisy but they stopped shortly after. It didn’t worry us and I wouldn’t let it worry yourself, it wasn’t that close and not long either. The campsite is extremely close to local shops and restaurants even downtown blue ridge! Overall, I’ll definitely come back and recommend this to anyone I know. Affordable price too!

I love the set up. Very lovely property. Lots of deer, tucked away with a good view of covenant college. Robert had lots of history of the area and his lineage which was awesome. Also bc we got there late and storms were coming in he made sure we were good with a preset up tent. Can’t say enough about his hospitality and looking forward to staying again.

Weekend Trip to Peaceful Hollow Farm

My stay at Darla’s was amazing! The glamping tent was clean and cozy, with everything I needed, and the goats and llamas were adorable. Darla was extremely friendly and helpful in giving me rides up and down the hill, even in the pouring rain! There is a beautiful hiking trail from her property that was the best part of my visit. I would absolutely stay again.

Went Rooftop Tent camping with my youngest and my dog to check this place out. Even though it rained 90 percent of our stay and we had a blowout on the trailer tire on the way home, I've already booked another stay with the rest of the family in a few weeks. That's how nice this place is. Boats, fish, shower, firewood, peace and quiet, This place is a gem and there is nothing about staying here that you will regret.

3 nights at Cabin and Barn on 20 Peaceful Acres

Very much enjoyed the solitude and warm shelter during all the rain. The wood burning stove kept everything warm and dry. Good hot shower and clean toilet. Freedom for my pup to explore. Would stay here again.

What a great campsite, it’s pretty much perfect! We will definitely be back; I was happy because we saw NO other people, my husband was happy bc he didn’t have to bury his poop lol (he likes an outhouse), and the dog absolutely loved running around in all the streams. The mosquitoes weren’t even bad!

This is a beautiful camping spot! We loved the fire pit with the adjustable grill attached. There’s just something about a steak cooked over a campfire 🔥 that can’t be beat. The site was very spacious with lots of green grass for our pups to play and roll in. The reflection of the trees on the pond was picturesque. Peaceful is an understatement. Randy was very easy going, quick to respond, and helped us with an item we had forgot. We will be back as soon as we can! I would highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Farm @ Chickamauga Battlefield

The yurt is amazing and the farm is such a unique experience. I loved touring the grounds and seeing all the animals! It’s so peaceful out here and a very convenient option for a camping trip to just disconnect a little. The hosts are also amazing, super hospitable and very passionate about their farm. Running Water Creek is a unique, fully off grid campground just 20 minutes to downtown Chattanooga. We have 80+ campsites spread out over 120 acres. Most of the roads are accessible in any small car, but some roads require 4x4 (they're marked with a sign). We have a bath house with toilets, showers, and sinks and even offer hot water! Our well and cabins are all solar powered as we are not on the electric grid. Your Toccoa River Cove!

The Cove consists of 12 acres with a tributary stream and spring fed ponds less than a half mile from the Toccoa River. It was originally the water source for the surrounding properties prior to the city installing a water system. It is completely private and unspoiled nature, with about a mile of walking trails throughout. The Mountaintop is a 3 acre high elevation site bordering 140 acres of undisturbed woods and is also very close to the Toccoa River. Fantastic location yet very private for base camp to access the many activities in this area, or enjoy the Toccoa River. It is the only campground in Fannin County limited to only one group at a time. Each site includes 2 access points to the Toccoa River. The Gibbs Drive community river access lot has a charcoal grill, picnic table, boat launch, swimming rock and fire pit with chairs. The Toccoa River Forest community river access lot has a big boat ramp. The river is controlled flow and usually at low water from dawn to about 2 pm, ideal for fishing or swimming/wading/boulder bopping. The River release schedule is available online at the website TVA.gov. The River has swift current when the dam is opened for release, usually daily. This property is conveniently located in Mineral Bluff, Georgia 30559, just 4 miles off the 4-lane highway (Highway 515/76) and just a short drive to Blue Ridge, Georgia; Blairsville, Georgia; Murphy, North Carolina, McCaysville, Georgia and Copper Hill, Tennessee. It is a paved road drive all the way to the entrance. It is located just a few miles from the center of downtown Blue Ridge with art galleries, many restaurants, brew pubs, shopping, the Blue Ridge Brewing Company, Mercier Orchard, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad, and more! The Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad runs most of the year from Blue Ridge to McCaysville, right along the Toccoa River. The campsites are equally close to downtown McCaysville, Ga. /Copper Hill, TN. We intentionally leave some of our fields uncut. In some fields, the grass can come up above the knees. If you are picky with the grass, these are pastures on a farm and we do not cut them. We leave that to the animals to take care of. All of our staff are super friendly and happy to help guide you to the best camping spot and answer any questions. In searching for your campsite please note that there may be livestock in and around certain areas as we rotate pastures. Please respect farm rules and do not camp in a pasture with cattle and do not enter any gated area without speaking to someone on the farm who knows which fields the cattle is in. Potable well water can be located from the blue spigot outside of the staff housing area, in between the orange and green tiny home, and outside the outdoor shower. Fire rings and chopped wood are ready for you to borrow and return by the outdoor shower area. Our outdoor shower is located by the yurts. If you are interested in a more posh experience, we have yurts and tiny homes for rent. We have a pool that is available to rent privately during your stay.
