Sit on the rocks at the base of the waterfall under the rhododendrons and holly trees, and wade in the water in the warm months. Park on the side of the road in front of the Cynefin sign. There are solar lights illuminating the path to the tent if you arrive after dark. There you will find a that you can use to bring your luggage down. Other things to note • The river will rise and fall depending on how much rain we are getting. It tends to be lower late summer to early fall. We cannot guarantee water levels. • This is primitive off grid camping. There's no electricity or running water. We recommend bringing a portable battery pack to charge devices. • Please be respectful of any wildlife (there are white tail deer, raccoons, weasels, harmless black snakes, mink, foxes, coyotes, many birds, and the extremely, and we do mean extremely, rare black bear), while fishing in the little river is allowed, hunting is prohibited.

Unlike a traditional hot tub, there are no seats inside. - There are mini-splits for AC/heat. Use the “dry” setting to cool off the space, which also reduces humidity. If it gets too cold, you can switch the units to the “cool” setting or turn off. If you get an error on the mini-splits, ensure they are all on the same setting, as the system cannot heat and cool simultaneously.

A hiking path leads up to an overlook with a swing — the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee and watch the sunrise. We are 15–20 minutes from Indian Mountain ATV Park (with space to park your trailer) and less than a two-hour drive to Birmingham, Chattanooga, and Atlanta. Visit Gadsden (~35 minutes) to explore Noccalula Falls Park, especially beautiful with Christmas lights, or Fort Payne (~an hour) to explore Little River Canyon and Desoto Falls. We also have a raised-bed vegetable garden that guests are welcome to harvest during their stay. Our property offers especially stunning views in the fall when the leaves are changing. It is located eight miles north of the small town of Heflin, Alabama, which is about an hour and a half from the metro areas of Birmingham, Alabama, and Atlanta, Georgia. For example, an easy, straightforward drive down I-20 West makes Turkey Track Retreat a perfect quick weekend getaway for Atlanta residents looking to escape the city noise. The cabin is surrounded by hundreds of square miles of forest. To the west, directly behind the cabin, there are over nine miles of continuous forest before reaching a hard-top road, and beyond that, over six miles to the next road. To the north, there are over sixty miles of continuous forest to the next road. Pinhoti Trailheads are nearby. The ten acres is mostly forested, and all surrounding properties are similarly wooded. The back side of the property is bordered by a year-round creek. There are two open meadows, one of which is a pawpaw orchard. Trails and a covered pavilion are located down by the creek. In season, you can enjoy blueberries, blackberries, and muscadines. Because the property is so remote—and because the surrounding areas adhere to International Dark Sky standards—you can enjoy spectacular stargazing on clear nights. If you are looking for an off-grid experience in a forest and a quiet place to get away, this is the place for you.

My fiance and I (and our cat Blair) loved our stay here. Eston and Chris were very responsive the whole trip when any questions came up. It was very cute and cozy and everything was so well prepared. It was great getting to meet Lady Cooper as well. Eston was really kind in letting us do a later check out as well. It was a very nice and relaxing trip and the sky was absolutely beautiful at night. Everything was just so special and well thought out. We’re already talking about when we should make another trip to come back. Thank you again Eston and Chris!!

Weekend Trip to Eco-Friendly Tree House Pods for a Georgia Glamping Experience

This place is a top favorite! It’s best of both worlds for being outdoorsy while enjoying the comforts of a bed with AC, bathroom, and kitchen. Although it is exposed to the outdoors, it is very clean, way cleaner than even some indoor places I’ve stayed. If you don’t have a 4x4 vehicle, be prepared to hike in, hence the name, either down a very steep hill, or a simpler trail through the woods. The host is very accommodating, and thorough with directions for arrival and things to know throughout the stay. Great experience and highly recommend!

Chris and Eston, the hosts, were amazing! They have set up the site with everything you need! The detail and special touches were so unexpected and so lovely! It’s a perfect little space - a little slice of heaven and peace away from the city. Our pup loved it, too! She got to see the goats and feel nature! We will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Briar Ridge

A lovely home away from home with everything you could need for a lil rest and relaxation... a/c to beat the heat, patio grill, wrap around mountainscape complete with lightning bug show at dusk, and a sweet pup named Lady Cooper for porch sitting company. The hosts went over and beyond in sharing their property and kindness, including a hand-delivered, freshly picked and baked blackberry cobbler (which I devoured within minutes, thanks again Chris!) Can't wait to return to this magical place ✨️❤️

Camping in their camper was the best experience! Very clean and had everything. Eston and his wife are so welcoming and willing to help wherever you need! Their property is beautiful and has a blackberry trail where you can pick and eat berries.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful stay at Spring Dale Hipcamp hosted by Eston and his wife. They were incredibly warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The campsite was peaceful, well maintained, and a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. Our pet, Naina, had an amazing time too! She especially loved playing with their friendly dog, Lady. Watching them have so much fun made our stay even more memorable. Thank you, Eston, for your wonderful hospitality. We truly enjoyed our time at Spring Dale and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, pet-friendly getaway. We can't wait to visit again!

4 nights at Cabin and Barn on 20 Peaceful Acres

I traveled from California to take my grandkids camping. George was an amazing host!!! He was communicative and flexible. when plans had to change due to medical stuff. The site was well designed and surprisingly well equipped. The camp kitchen had all the basics plus. I have a trailer with all my gear so I was grateful to have all the items forgot readily available. The cabin was bigger than expected. We spent a rainy afternoon playing games and napping. Great combination of convenience and real comping!! We will be back!!!

Weekend Trip to Briar Ridge

This site exceeded expectations! The hosts stocked the RV with every single thing the average person would need to feel at home, and that’s exactly what it felt like. A home away from home. I was also pleasantly surprised that there was an ABUNDANCE of blackberries on site to pick! Not only that, they had a rock pile of rocks collected from the property that were full of character, and many of them with crystals which they allowed me to take as well. I came home with blackberries and beautiful rocks/crystals as if I visited a gift shop on my way out. The hosts themselves were close in location but very hospitable and respectful of my privacy. I will very likely be returning for another visit

This is the second time my friends and I have camped at George's place. We will keep coming back! The location is private, beautiful, quiet, backs up to miles of hiking trails, and 20 minutes to downtown Chattanooga.
