There are solar lights illuminating the path to the tent if you arrive after dark. There you will find a that you can use to bring your luggage down. Other things to note • The river will rise and fall depending on how much rain we are getting. It tends to be lower late summer to early fall. We cannot guarantee water levels. • This is primitive off grid camping. There's no electricity or running water. The cabin sits in the middle of a ten-acre property adjacent to the Talladega National Forest. It is located eight miles north of the small town of Heflin, Alabama, which is about an hour and a half from the metro areas of Birmingham, Alabama, and Atlanta, Georgia. Off a small county road, a private half-mile gravel road leads to the property’s end. The cabin is surrounded by hundreds of square miles of forest. In season, you can enjoy blueberries, blackberries, and muscadines. It is 20.54 acres peacefully located between big land owners on each side, and a creek that runs through the middle that separates north from south pieces. Our trails are groomed and some just deer worn. We have one camp site that is rural and rustic. There is a bucket for the restroom and antique, old white kitchen sink for hand washing just outside it. There is no running water yet, but working on getting a water reservoir out there asap. No electricity yet a single power cord could be run for extra $10.00 for your visit. There is a fire pit close to the tent spot on, “Skip’s Campsite”. Another camp site” Aqua-Fine-A” that has a walk in creek access, and you have to cross the creek to get to that one. It is farther away from “Skip’s bathroom access. It has a more established flag stone fire pit. It is our original primitive sight. There is no water reservoir or possibility of electricity at “Aqua-Fine-A” campsite. Everything must be packed in and out on foot. Both sights require a hike to campsites on foot with uneven rooted trails. {You are welcome to use our well loved red wheelbarrow to haul items in}. There is access to a bigger fire pit “M & M fire pit”, and a propane grill option (this is first come first serve/sharing spot). More campsites developing over time and there is a massage practitioner on site if you are looking for the whole experience (29 years experience in healing modalities and shamanic blood line). If you are looking to experience nature cabin style then, “The Minor Escape” is for you. This has a full refrigerator, full stand up filtered water shower, kitchen sink, separate master, two bedroom lofts with ladder access, kitchen sink, ceiling fans, window a/c units for summer and space heaters for winter (Eden pure heater that shows fireplace flames). Our family loves this land and there is always new areas being cultivated in various spots. You will see us out there either with our hobby farm of animals, gardening or building a new area. Little River is considered to be the purest, natural flowing river in the state. Bring your fishing gear and kayaks. Sit on the rocks at the base of the waterfall under the rhododendrons and holly trees, and wade in the water in the warm months. Park on the side of the road in front of the Cynefin sign. There are solar lights illuminating the path to the tent if you arrive after dark. There you will find a that you can use to bring your luggage down. Other things to note • The river will rise and fall depending on how much rain we are getting. It tends to be lower late summer to early fall. We cannot guarantee water levels. • This is primitive off grid camping. There's no electricity or running water. We recommend bringing a portable battery pack to charge devices. • Please be respectful of any wildlife (there are white tail deer, raccoons, weasels, harmless black snakes, mink, foxes, coyotes, many birds, and the extremely, and we do mean extremely, rare black bear), while fishing in the little river is allowed, hunting is prohibited.

The cabin sits in the middle of a ten-acre property adjacent to the Talladega National Forest. It is located eight miles north of the small town of Heflin, Alabama, which is about an hour and a half from the metro areas of Birmingham, Alabama, and Atlanta, Georgia. It is 20.54 acres peacefully located between big land owners on each side, and a creek that runs through the middle that separates north from south pieces. Our trails are groomed and some just deer worn. We have one camp site that is rural and rustic. There is a bucket for the restroom and antique, old white kitchen sink for hand washing just outside it. There is no running water yet, but working on getting a water reservoir out there asap. No electricity yet a single power cord could be run for extra $10.00 for your visit. There is a fire pit close to the tent spot on, “Skip’s Campsite”. Another camp site” Aqua-Fine-A” that has a walk in creek access, and you have to cross the creek to get to that one. It is farther away from “Skip’s bathroom access. It has a more established flag stone fire pit. It is our original primitive sight. There is no water reservoir or possibility of electricity at “Aqua-Fine-A” campsite. Everything must be packed in and out on foot. Both sights require a hike to campsites on foot with uneven rooted trails. {You are welcome to use our well loved red wheelbarrow to haul items in}. There is access to a bigger fire pit “M & M fire pit”, and a propane grill option (this is first come first serve/sharing spot). More campsites developing over time and there is a massage practitioner on site if you are looking for the whole experience (29 years experience in healing modalities and shamanic blood line). If you are looking to experience nature cabin style then, “The Minor Escape” is for you. This has a full refrigerator, full stand up filtered water shower, kitchen sink, separate master, two bedroom lofts with ladder access, kitchen sink, ceiling fans, window a/c units for summer and space heaters for winter (Eden pure heater that shows fireplace flames). Our family loves this land and there is always new areas being cultivated in various spots. You will see us out there either with our hobby farm of animals, gardening or building a new area. The cabins are extremely clean, have comfortable beds and even have Keurig coffee makers to help with your early morning rides. Bathrooms are also very clean and a 20 second walk from camp. The owner is very knowledgeable on the trail system, and was happy to share his favorite trails.

Loved waking up to shimmering water and gentle breezes. This time of year was amazing. Our campsite was just steps from the lake, perfect for sunrise coffee or sunset grilling. The jacuzzi was a plus!!

Perfect for rugged camping but with shelter & a shower! Feels secluded, but you still have cell service & civilization nearby in case you need anything. Also lots of historical sites nearby. Caught a few fish in the pond & enjoyed cooking over the fire. Cabin & bathroom were clean and owners were extremely nice! Would love to come back in summer so I can enjoy the flowers!

1 night at Iremide Family Farm

Beautiful camp spot close to town! My friend and I just wanted to come in for the night while I was in town to get away. We didn't use the showers or amenities (like the canoes) but wish we'd had more time. The camp area was lovely, the firepit is large & the twinkling lights made it feel magical. Would recommend! Our only issue was the barking dogs surrounding the property, which Brittany has no control of. We ended up leaving at 2AM because we could not sleep...but I'm extra sensitive to noises so for the average person this may not be a problem.

Weekend Trip to The Cynefin Luxury Safari Tent

Great spot in nature, cozy tent which kept us nice and dry when it stormed. The host’s home is visible which wasn’t a problem, but worth noting. Love that it was well stocked, we had a lovely stay and would come back. Thank you!

I truly enjoyed my stay here! Everything out it was what I wanted! It had all the amenities of camping, and a comfortable bed & shelter! I described it as “camping - light”. They had all the cooking gear I needed. I can’t explain how much joy this cozy cabin brought me :)

Beautiful and well appointed cabin, looking out onto a small lake with a resident heron. Communicative and responsive hosts. We would love to go back and try one of the other cabins for a future stay.
