This is my second time staying here and I absolutely LOVE it. Both times ive stayed at the cave spot and it's just beautiful. Tom and judy are both wonderful hosts and the farmland is incredible.

4 nights at Serene Forested Blueberry Farm

The Blueberry Farm was everything I had hoped for and more. The camper I stayed in (The Gunnisack) was the perfect combination of well-appointed, cozy, and rustic, with all the amenities to make for a comfortable experience. An excellent mattress, an AC, all necessary cooking implements, firewood, a fire bowl, tiki torches... Cassandra truly thought of everything. The Gunnisack is tucked away in a little wooded bower, so it's perfect for anyone in search of peace and quiet. I recommend this spot to anyone looking for a rustic, homey getaway that's close to all the amazing nature that Central Florida has to offer (the manatees, gators, monkeys, and incredible birds of Ocala National Forest are just a short drive away).

1 night at Neal’s Nest

Amazing character! Had a long journey for a week traveling. It was late in the afternoon when I made contact. I was welcomed warmly on such short notice. Granted there was a previous HC that checked out just that afternoon. I explained how far away I was and asked if it were at all possible just to sleep there. I didn’t care about any other amenities come near midnight. The fact that I entered the glamper and it had good A/C, comfortable bed, and a good cold shower I was in a great position. I woke up feeling a calm knowing that that would be the day got back home. Really helped clear my head in a peaceful quite private area. That simple gesture from her will always be one of my favorite times crossing paths with a complete stranger. Hopefully each of you will be able to cross paths with Tina.

Had an amazing stay at Hookie’s Hideaway Forest Camp! Cassandra was a fantastic host—super friendly and welcoming. The outdoor shower with hot water was a great touch, and the campsite itself was peaceful and well-maintained. It’s a fantastic spot to visit with kids, and we loved getting fresh eggs from the farm’s chickens. Beautiful, relaxing vibes all around, and the location is perfect—close to the springs. Highly recommend!

3 nights at Wildflower Pond and Woodlands

This spot was so lovely! We stayed in the A-frame cabin that was cozy, we loved our campsite and this spot. Our last night of the three we heard the crickets and frogs chirping and it was pretty magical. Bummed we didn’t get to tour the farm, next time!

3 nights at Kokomo Farms

I have stayed here before back in 2023, and I can say the same as I did then it is so magical here! Just the place I needed to be for my spring break from college to relax and enjoy nature stress free. The horses are so gentle and I enjoyed feeding them. Waking up to the roosters is so much more inviting than an alarm lol. Trudy is always the best host! My partner enjoyed all the games around and it got quite competitive! We also enjoyed some painting at the little paint station. I really recommended checking out the springs around in the area! But to top it off, my partner loved this place so much he proposed here! Like I said everything about this stay was magical and I can’t recommend it enough!

5 nights at Grazing Oaks Ranch RV and Horse Stables

We had a great trip to this Hipcamp! There were lots of animals there, you could make a new animal friend! My girls loved petting the horses and feeding the cows and ruby treats. We even learned a lot from the trainer on the property. Also, there’s a zip line and a swing! The trees were breathtaking and the property was beautiful! Oh and even some fruit trees on the property. It’s always a pleasure being in the middle of nowhere. Frank was helpful when we arrived and we even met others who were staying to enjoy s’mores with. The weather was magnificent too. Would def return!

They gave created a very nice little campground. The composting toilet is top notch. It was easy in and out for my 14 ft single axel trailer.

1 night at Big Oaks Dog And Horse Camping

Jessica and her husband have a beautiful piece of property. They were very accommodating during our stay. They helped with set up, explained the property and then left us alone unless we needed something. Which we did request a favor and they did not hesitate to come and assist (after dark). In turn, this saved our travel trailer from not being able to go back in the road. Being a newer HipCamp host, they have plans to make this beautiful piece of land even more accommodating and fun! I’m very excited to return and see how it grows!

7 nights at 100% Dad Headquarters

This space is perfect for meeting kind travelers and a great host. I mentioned a tiny discrepancy and Townsend was there the next day doing everything he could to remedy that; which he did. Level ground, water, and electric! If you have a tall rig watch out for the low hanging trees, I learned the hard way so you don’t have to. Very close to a supermarket, a beautiful pond and even a small skatepark that I really enjoyed. There is also a cool looking library walking distance from the site. It was closed when I went by but boy was I excited just to see a library right there! As someone who doesn’t use WiFi or much data, books are my go-to.

1 night at Eden Gardens Jax

Site one was very private. Quiet. If there wasn’t a fire ban, it would’ve been a great place for a fire. There was a fire pit and a nice picnic table. I would definitely stay here again

We are 1.7 miles away from the Florida Trail, minutes away from Hampton Lake with a boat dock, and a short drive away from multiple Florida springs and natural attractions. We have 15 acres under 100 yr old Pecan grove. Surrounding view is a 120 acres of pine forest, 40 have been cleared. There are wetlands and cypress groves and a beautiful view of the sky, good for star gazing or birding. Tent camping is available in flexible but designated areas around the property. We have edible plants, chickens, dogs, and other wild life, like gopher tortoises, who call this area their home. There is occasionally a buzz around the grounds with activity with our many projects, but the stillness of the late nights and early mornings lend to a peace filled atmosphere. This eco-retreat is located at Peacefield where we rescue and rehabilitate farm animals - this space helps support the mission, so we and the animals really appreciate you staying with us! We're minutes from town (1.5 miles to the Jonesville Publix) yet totally private. You'll have 8 beautiful acres all to yourself with power, water, and super fast internet. Our caretakers home is about 500ft away but you'll be facing west for the stunning sunsets through the oak trees and won't see it. Although they're ready to help should you need anything. About 1500ft away, and not seen, is the main house, gym, and sauna. You'll be surrounded by stunning Florida nature and most importantly dozens of rescued farm animals that now call Peacefield home. During your stay they won't be in your field but you can say hello through as they'll be your neighbors across the fence. We're also more than happy to give you a farm tour anytime during your stay. You're also welcome eat anything that is ripe on the fruit trees or that is ready in the garden. You'll also have access to our gym and sauna which are shared. It's about a 10 minute walk away up towards the main house. There you'll find a Peloton bike, peloton treadmill, peloton rower, yoga mats, TRX straps, a few free weights, AND Finnish sauna! It's a sanctuary for humans too :) Please note there is no restroom or RV hookup for waste. Vegan Stuff! Because we rescue farm animals we ask that no animals products be brought in, cooked or consumed on property out of respect for them. Please keep it 100% vegan. If this is new for you, as it was for us at first, don't worry, it's way easier than you think. Oatmeal, avocado toast, black bean tacos, etc. Whatever you already love, just veganise it. And the nearby Publix, or pretty much any grocery store, will have vegan pizza, burgers, and nearly anything you'd crave. We know this lifestyle might be new to you but it's the best thing we've ever done. Your stay could double as a cleanse from the standard American diet. Again, the sanctuary lives up to it's name and is an incredibly special and peaceful place. Run down the tree covered road, do yoga under an oak tree, enjoy the sauna, take a Peloton class, read to the chickens (they love a good story), meditate with the pigs, and so much more. Peacefield is a retreat and a tranquil escape for animals and humans:) We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the this space directly supports the animals and our mission. These funds will be used for food, medicine, rescue operations, the emergency vet fund, and so much more! Location One of the coolest things about this place is that it feels so private and secluded yet less than 2 miles to Publix. Approximately 10 miles to downtown Gainesville, The Swamp (UF Stadium), The University of Florida, Whole Foods, and more! This is also a perfect launching pad to explore all the amazing natural springs in north central Florida. Ginnie Springs, and Ichetucknee Springs State Park are some of our favorites - and you're more than welcome to borrow some tubes and pumps. Although we're a little ways from the beach we do have beach chairs and umbrella for your use. Cedar key is about 45 minutes and St Augustine or Crescent Beach is about 1.5 hours. We live near one of the most beautiful roads for running and biking. Tree covered canopy for miles! Guest access Interacting with the animals. You can feed them and say hi from outside of their enclosures and pastures, but do not go in with them unless we are with you. A potable water station is available and built from re-purposed materials and wood harvested locally. We are a working farm. We supply every Lucky's Market location with fresh turmeric and a host of stores with our blueberries. We also have an active u-pick program during the blueberry and peach harvests (late March to early June) that is available to Hip Campers. Glenn Farm

The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

We also have access to the private areas on Itchetucknee and Santa Fe River and have kayaks, paddle boards, tubes, and other inflatable. The kitchen may have limited access during special events or retreats. There are several fire pits and open fields for frisbee, volley ball, horse shoes, and corn hole games in the camping area. The building also has a large covered outdoor pouch area with lights and fans for rainy days, to hang out. reading, card games, etc. As mentioned earlier, we are on 80+ acres and plenty of room to roam and trails to explore.
