We opened to the public on Labor Day 2014. Most people come to stay either in our rental cottage or in their horse trailers/RVs with their horses to ride the awesome trails in the 20,000+ acre adjacent Croom Forest. However, because our ranch is so peaceful, many stay here without horses just to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many opportunities to recreate in the area, including outstanding mountain and road biking, OHVing, hiking, golfing, and canoeing/kayaking. Many full-time and working RVers stay for extended periods. Note that our camping area is small and intimate, so you will be close to other campers. We have 5 30-amp hookups, and 2 50-amp hookups; if you need 50-amp service, please request it. Note that a minimum of a 2-night stay will typically be required on weekends, especially during our busy season. WiFi is available, but we call it "Country WiFi" since it sometimes can be slow and may or may not be accessible from where you are parked; also, Verizon cell service in our area is terrible. If internet access is important to you, we suggest having your own hotspot or internet service (many working RVers have Starlink). Note that GPS can be very mean in our rural area; make sure your turn off Highway 50 is onto paved High Corner Road, which is 2 miles west of I-75 (if GPS tries to turn you down unpaved, dead-end roads, DO NOT LISTEN..you will get stuck!). That’s why we decided to offer a corner of our own rural paradise - amongst the mature oaks, blooming magnolias and palms. We have just under 7 acres with plenty of yard to share. It’s pretty basic space without a lot of amenities (yet), but we know you’d love it here. WiFi as well. ~ We do have a chicken coop so you can expect to hear them throughout the day. ~ We are on a dead end road in a rural residential area. Super quiet! ~ Pit potty in a super cute Outhouse. ~ If you stay during the month of March, you will adore our lightening bugs! ~ Tons of mature trees so bring your hammocks. ~ We are on site and available to you when needed. Shiloh was the name of an early Florida town that was once located just down the road from our property. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the lagoon, building a home and forging a life in a new location. But Shiloh is now lost, literally removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space-age pushed forward into the future. However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families. As a tribute to those early adventurers, we have named our place Camp Shiloh. We honor the past, we respect the wild Florida that surrounds us, and we celebrate the future as we watch rocket launches from our porch. You are welcome to stay on the property while you explore the local communities of New Smyrna and Titusville, relax at beautiful Canaveral National Seashore, attend races in Daytona, visit amusement parks in Orlando... or whatever! It’s up to you. We are a peaceful, safe location from which you can stage your Florida adventure. Come on by. We look forward to hosting you! Watch rocket launches, visit nearby beaches, attend NASCAR races, see local communities, relax at Canaveral National Seashore, birdwatch at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, fish Mosquito Lagoon, or visit the amusement parks of Orlando, we are a safe and quiet location from which to stage your adventures. We have two campsites. Site 1 is a nice level, grassy campsite for tent or RV, complete with a fire ring, picnic table, and firewood. Site 2 is the Glamping Greenhouse! We aren't fancy, but are clean, secure, and private. You can come and go as you please, and day-trip all over beautiful central Florida!

The hosts were great. Very friendly and personable people. Our camping spot was quiet (except for the rooster) and the bath house was great. Every night they lit a camp fire where everyone could sit around and talk. We would definitely stay there again.

Stayed with Matthew for 3 nights. Would recommend. We had the full hookup site. Quiet site. Mathew was friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. Location was ideal for us, 55 minute drive to the Tampa Aquarium, 15 minutes to Fantasy of Flight, our weekend destinations.

We had such a great experience at the Spotted Dance Ranch. The owners we so friendly and helpful. John even helped my camper backing challenged hubs into our space. We got a tour of the horse barn and great suggestions for the area. Clean bathhouse. Everything was perfect! Will return yearly for sure. Check out the nearby Withlachookie Trail, 46 places miles. We brought our e-bikes!

Weekend Trip to True Trail Farm

We were returning from a weeks trip out west skiing and we wanted to take one more day before getting back to our daily lives and we found True Trail Farm here on Hipcamp. Kathryn and Mike are great hosts, their property is wonderful, an operating Homestead. we purchased some eggs fresh off their farm, they also offer firewood for purchase, which is extremely convenient, and yes, it’s dry ready for a wonderful fire in their communal fire pit which both Kathryn and Mike took the time to sit down and have conversation with us. Their property also offers a full bathroom with hot water and a shower. We enjoyed our one evening there, which was just right to keep us from rushing back. We will be sure to choose True Trail Farm again!
