There are trails to be found less than a mile from our property but you can also head to Sebastian Preserve for hiking or over to Stick Marsh for fishing.Your hosts are onsite and we like to meet campers and just get to know them a little. Then we leave the campers alone unless they need something :)About the listingOur property has two sites that can accommodate tent camping or van/truck camping and we look forward to welcoming you. Please keep in mind that if you are brining a van or truck camper the maximum length we can accommodate is 20 ft. We do not have any hookups at this time so you will be dry camping or tent camping only. The surface of the sites is grassy and does need some leveling if you’re in a van. A small but unique piece of land that was given to a family in the 1920s by the Florida Railroad Company. It stayed in the family until we purchased it. It is unique because the surrounding area does not have much tree coverage. This is
due to the ground underneath, which is a vein of grey marl. This is why the area is called the Allapattah (an Indian word for Alligator) Flats.
We are hoping that our county stays the way it is so people will know what Old Florida really looks like.
Minutes from I-95, but surrounded by the Allapattah Flats Wildlife Management Preserve. Located on Martin Hwy, which was recently designated as a Florida Scenic Hwy. Fifteen minutes to Stuart and thirty minutes to West Palm Beach, a world away from the hustle and bustle.
We realize that people also love Florida for Disney and tropical paradises but if that is what you want then this may not be your kind of place.
Depending on the season and availability we may have local honey and/or firewood available for purchase.

We have over 3000 beautiful oak trees and tons of accommodations for your stay including: full outdoor kitchen, onsite
outdoor covered patio with a bar,
shooting range, live free range chicken eggs, and all the privacy desired. Say hi to our goats and hogs on the land, and feel free to use the land to bring toys, boats, etc. We have access to a special sunset tower, as seen in photos,
accessible by request.

Nice private spot. The other site isn't too far away but it still felt very secluded. The chickens came to visit while we were setting up. Site wasn't really marked but we were still able to find the right one.

We really enjoyed the weekend on the property. We had one of the biggest part of the camping site. That it was number seven. We managed to have 2 cars. the
Bathroom portable potty was okay. Shower was provided next to the stables.It was an open one.So the first night, it was like super cold.But the water was super hot and it was the best thing. The tiny horses were so cool and cute.We parked got out of the car and they came towards us.It was like super cool. We were under fire ban, but we managed to have a nice weekend.And our host answered us right off regarding if we could have a little small gas stove, perfect. Nice property.I would definitely invite somebody to go there to just shut off from the whole world.

This was my 1st hipcamp stay. It was wonderful. Beautiful property. There are cute miniature horses that come visit you. Bathrooms were clean. Shower available.

Such a peaceful location, tons of privacy. Everything felt clean and very safe. There were other campers at their sites, but you couldn't even hear them. The views of the stars at night can't be beat. I highly recommend!

We loved staying at Christine & Cal’s place. The property is beautiful, peaceful and unique. It was so cool being greeted by Wildfire and Noka, the friendly miniature horses. We’d certainly stay again if we’re in the area.

WOW! This property truly has it all—especially an exceptional host. Arriving at David’s felt like stepping into a movie scene. Fires were roaring around the property, animals were bustling about, and David welcomed us with an enthusiastic tour that immediately made us feel at home. I’ve never felt so comfortable at a Hipcamp. When the weather turned chilly, David went out of his way to make sure we stayed warm. We loved the archery, swings, and outdoor kitchen, and we left feeling completely rested and relaxed. We will definitely be back!

This is my second time staying at this property. I really enjoy this site. Great sunset views and a fire ring.
There is plenty to do in this area. Easy to get shopping and basic errands done.
