It’s an ideal location to explore St Pete as we are right between the beaches and downtown (5 miles to St Pete beach, 4 miles to downtown -$10 Uber ride), Sarasota and/or Tampa. Ours is an urban spot based on ease, safety and location, not a wilderness "experience"
We have a paved circular driveway overlooking our beehives, henhouse and seasonal garden where you’ll find a table with chairs and plenty of space to cookout and enjoy a quiet evening with a great sunset by the blowing bamboo.
This is one of South St Pete’s oldest neighborhoods- it surrounds an active former PGA golf course and lively country club. It’s a great place for safely biking or walking with green spaces, tennis courts, playgrounds and dog parks nearby.
There are many owls, raptors, green parrots, purple martins and osprey overhead as we’re just a few blocks from the beautiful Boyd Hill Nature Preserve. - not to be missed!
The Pinellas Trail is just a short bike ride away too and can lead you to downtown. It is a cyclists favorite!

A rich variety of wild birds visit regularly, recognizing it as a safe haven for wildlife. And though we can't guarantee you'll see a rare one, we can guarantee you'll see CHICKENS! Six of them in fact, Salty, Sleepy, Jet, Little Comb, Tapatio, and Dutchess. These friendly, curious, and fearless little marauders are guaranteed to make your acquaintance, and if you're not looking, invite themselves to share your breakfast. They free roam the yard during daylight hours, so please help us keep all gates shut to prevent them from going on an unscheduled field trip. They will also leave "landmines" on the pathways, so be sure to watch your step. We do our best to keep everything clean and tidy, but chickens abhor tidiness. And will go out of their way to unleash chaos at every turn. Still, we love the little bird brains and they are an entertaining addition to the grounds. They're also the reason we ask that all pets, and children under 12, be left at home. We thank you for your understanding and help in preserving the safety of our flock, and as thanks, please help yourself to any fresh eggs in the chicken coop. This is only a brief description, there's so much more to see on-site, but you'll also want to make your way out into the city (15 minute drive) for some of the unique flair St Pete is known for. Check out the Salvadore Dali museum and see his famous surrealist paintings. Visit some of the best beaches in the country, like St Pete Beach (15 minutes drive due West). Wander the Fort Desoto historical park area. Or Stop by the Morean Arts Center and see live glass blowing demonstrations, or just walk along Central Ave to soak up the cool vibe and rich city art scene. Complete with murals, sculptures, and a pier scene that's not to be missed.

The Withlacoochee Trail is a mile east at the end of the road. This is a biking, hiking and equestrian trail. Florida Classic Park is roughly 2 miles north on Lockhart. The Croom Recreational Area is also 3 miles away.

We opened to the public on Labor Day 2014. Most people come to stay either in our rental cottage or in their horse trailers/RVs with their horses to ride the awesome trails in the 20,000+ acre adjacent Croom Forest. However, because our ranch is so peaceful, many stay here without horses just to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many opportunities to recreate in the area, including outstanding mountain and road biking, OHVing, hiking, golfing, and canoeing/kayaking. Many full-time and working RVers stay for extended periods. Note that our camping area is small and intimate, so you will be close to other campers. We have 5 30-amp hookups, and 2 50-amp hookups; if you need 50-amp service, please request it. Note that a minimum of a 2-night stay will typically be required on weekends, especially during our busy season. WiFi is available, but we call it "Country WiFi" since it sometimes can be slow and may or may not be accessible from where you are parked; also, Verizon cell service in our area is terrible. If internet access is important to you, we suggest having your own hotspot or internet service (many working RVers have Starlink). Note that GPS can be very mean in our rural area; make sure your turn off Highway 50 is onto paved High Corner Road, which is 2 miles west of I-75 (if GPS tries to turn you down unpaved, dead-end roads, DO NOT LISTEN..you will get stuck!). If you don't have your own RV, you can rent one from Ray Day's RV Rentals (229-515-7008), which is literally around the corner.

Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas.
The nursery has plenty of trees, and some fields -the large pond is surrounded by cattails and marsh/wetlands and has fish (Bass, Tilapia, Sunfish, Catfish).
Several species of wildlife have been seen on the property.

We have a paved circular driveway overlooking our beehives, henhouse and seasonal garden where you’ll find a table with chairs and plenty of space to cookout and enjoy a quiet evening with a great sunset by the blowing bamboo.
This is one of South St Pete’s oldest neighborhoods- it surrounds an active former PGA golf course and lively country club. It’s a great place for safely biking or walking with green spaces, tennis courts, playgrounds and dog parks nearby.
There are many owls, raptors, green parrots, purple martins and osprey overhead as we’re just a few blocks from the beautiful Boyd Hill Nature Preserve. - not to be missed!
The Pinellas Trail is just a short bike ride away too and can lead you to downtown. It is a cyclists favorite!

These friendly, curious, and fearless little marauders are guaranteed to make your acquaintance, and if you're not looking, invite themselves to share your breakfast. They free roam the yard during daylight hours, so please help us keep all gates shut to prevent them from going on an unscheduled field trip. They will also leave "landmines" on the pathways, so be sure to watch your step. We do our best to keep everything clean and tidy, but chickens abhor tidiness. And will go out of their way to unleash chaos at every turn. Still, we love the little bird brains and they are an entertaining addition to the grounds. They're also the reason we ask that all pets, and children under 12, be left at home. We thank you for your understanding and help in preserving the safety of our flock, and as thanks, please help yourself to any fresh eggs in the chicken coop. This is only a brief description, there's so much more to see on-site, but you'll also want to make your way out into the city (15 minute drive) for some of the unique flair St Pete is known for. Check out the Salvadore Dali museum and see his famous surrealist paintings. Visit some of the best beaches in the country, like St Pete Beach (15 minutes drive due West). Wander the Fort Desoto historical park area. Or Stop by the Morean Arts Center and see live glass blowing demonstrations, or just walk along Central Ave to soak up the cool vibe and rich city art scene. Most people come to stay either in our rental cottage or in their horse trailers/RVs with their horses to ride the awesome trails in the 20,000+ acre adjacent Croom Forest. However, because our ranch is so peaceful, many stay here without horses just to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many opportunities to recreate in the area, including outstanding mountain and road biking, OHVing, hiking, golfing, and canoeing/kayaking. Many full-time and working RVers stay for extended periods. Note that our camping area is small and intimate, so you will be close to other campers. We have 5 30-amp hookups, and 2 50-amp hookups; if you need 50-amp service, please request it. Note that a minimum of a 2-night stay will typically be required on weekends, especially during our busy season. WiFi is available, but we call it "Country WiFi" since it sometimes can be slow and may or may not be accessible from where you are parked; also, Verizon cell service in our area is terrible. If internet access is important to you, we suggest having your own hotspot or internet service (many working RVers have Starlink). Tyler's River Escape was great, secluded yet 5 minutes from the marina and state park. A special bonus was the open, yet covered, "game room," complete with shower and running water. So nice to have a safe refuge when a big thunderstorm rolled through. A little cool for canoeing or swimming in mid-March, but it's available if you want.

We are repeat campers here. We love the country farm feel. Our dogs love the 2 acres of fenced in area to run. It’s very quiet and peaceful. The only downfall is there’s no bathrooms or dump station so you have to bring it home with you.

The hosts Rob and Mike made us feel so welcome and at home here on their Ranch. The ranch tour was an added bonus, seeing all their animals goats, pigs, donkeys, Miniature horses, and an even an Arabian Stallion and we were able to hold a baby goat.
We stayed in the RV Forrest Edge. It was clean and the bed was so comfortable. For us it was the added little touches of clean towels, shampoo/conditioner, coffee maker and a lovely tablecloth on the picnic table all added to such a wonderful stay.
There were also separate showers and restrooms at the pavilion, where you could also make coffee or hot chocolate, with mugs provided which was nice touch.
Some of the highlights of our stay, we're meeting the Donkeys and horses which would roam the grounds and also visit us at the RV.
Needless to say we loved every minute of our stay, and will be coming back in the near future.

Everything was wonderful during our stay. I loved watching the horses as I cooked out on the grill and we had a colorful sunset the first night. The bathroom facility with washer/dryer is a plus! They are kind people. We would stay again if we’re back in the area!

Site is nice and had access to the water via kayak or canoe. We were able to use the kayaks and even saw a manatee on our evening paddle. Was a tricky pull in for a big vehicle but entirely manageable. Just take it slow and watch the sewer pipe. There were other couples staying in the rooms and it was fun to get to know them.

Upon arrival we were welcomed and situated by Dona's mother. The 2 bedroom Florida Breeze Barndomion, was very clean fully furnished and had homey atmosphere. The screened in porch was a nice bonus., we stayed 3 days. The property is beautiful your surrounded by several different animals, our direct neighbors were horses , a pig, sheep, ram and the coolest deer I ever seen. A beautiful peacock that walks around so gratefully, it took my breath away. There is so much more to see, just schedule a tour with Dona and you will be able to visit other animals on the farm (animal sanctuary) Also it is a domestic animal friendly place too, we had our dog and cat with us, they settled in quite nicely. Plenty of space to walk your dog. Thank you Dona for making our stay very pleasant.

This was such a wonderful stay! This property is so peaceful and beautiful that it gave me some much needed rejuvenation. The farm critters are very cute and and added a nice layer of fun to my stay. I used the RV spot which had power and water easily accessible as well as a nice picnic table, firepit and chairs. I walked past the cabin area which was so cute. There is a nice trail on property which was the perfect wind down and bit of movement after hours sitting behind the wheel, my doggo much appreciated the exercise and sniffs as well.The hosts are very nice people and made me feel welcome, immediately. This hipcamp will become my go-to stop while in the area, for sure. A+, 5 stars, all the things!

Everything went well and everything exceeded our expectations and they were amazing hosts. The atmosphere was serene, if we needed anything they were right there. The showers and the bathroom facilities were absolutely clean and they were well stocked and those are probably some of the nicest hip camp hygiene facilities I have seen at the larger campgrounds. There was a great small kitchen area. Everything was accessible to us. We had animals come through our campsite like horses and mules and visit us literally right at our camper door and they invited themselves to my dog's dog food and I absolutely love that they made themselves at home where they are at in their own natural surroundings. I hope the horses and mules were happy to greet us when they came through. We had a wonderful tour of the farm with our kids and absolutely love those animals. It was such a touch of heaven to have what seems like Noah's ark right there. Lol. They have the utmost respect for the campers needs and have things available to anticipate a camper's need even if we didn't know we needed it but it was great! I couldn't have asked for better campsite in my opinion. We had children, our service dog and three adults on the site. All five of us could have slept in the camper which I loved because there were five places for people to individually sleep. There's bunk beds in there for the kids too. Cooking needs met and you bring your food. Wifi was pure. Thank you so much.

Absolutely outstanding!
It was our first family vacation and we definitely enjoyed every minute of it! We stayed in the camper with our 2 small kids and quickly realized I overpacked. There were plenty of extra blankets and fully stocked cookware. Waking up to the donkey’s outside of our window was amazing and seeing my 2 small kids reaction is something I will hold on to. thank you for the unforgettable memories, are will definitely be back.

What a place! We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. Clean sites with fire pits (some with grills too), water and picnic tables. Cows, horses, goats roaming free. Water access for those that’d like to fish! Will definitely come back!

Manatee landing was exactly what my wife and I hoped it would be. One camping spot, shared common area all the items to make it great. Kayaks, outdoor lights, bbq grill, fire pit chairs everything. Manatees, otters, gar fish, mullet.
