The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

The property is 5 min to Interstate 75 (414 Exit). O'Leno State (https://www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/oleno-state-park) is a 5 min drive. We have a life time park pass so entry to the park is free for us. Please ask us about that. We have power and water only at our Hip-camp. We have 3 RV slips on the property, each with 50 Amp electric and water hookups.
Ichetucknee Springs State Park (https://ichetuckneesprings.com/) 15-20 min drive from our site. We also have access to the private areas on Itchetucknee and Santa Fe River and have kayaks, paddle boards, tubes, and other inflatable.
Ginnie Springs (https://ginniespringsoutdoors.com/) and Rum Island (https://www.lakecityfl.com/listing/rum-island-spring-and-park) are also a short drive from our site.
We also have a large tent camping area with 5 tent sites that are covered and have access to power and water.
The Radiant Oaks Center is adjacent to the R/V sites and camping area. This facility is used for retreats. R/V's and campers will have access to 2 full bathrooms and fully equipped ped kitchen area with refrigerator stove and microwave, coffeemaker and plenty pots, pans and dishes. The kitchen may have limited access during special events or retreats.
There are several fire pits and open fields for frisbee, volley ball, horse shoes, and corn hole games in the camping area. The building also has a large covered outdoor pouch area with lights and fans for rainy days, to hang out. reading, card games, etc.
As mentioned earlier, we are on 80+ acres and plenty of room to roam and trails to explore.
The city of High Springs and Lake City are each a short drive away have lots of shops, restaurants, and groceries. Feel free to ask us for recommendations.

Purradise Springs is a 9-acre cat sanctuary and glamping retreat in Fort White, Florida, operated by Purrapy Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Over 180 rescued cats roam freely across the property. Your glamping tent — we call them Purrts — is their territory too, and they are very opinionated about sharing it.
The Purrts:
Three climate-controlled glamping tents — two with king beds (sleep up to 3) and one with two full-size beds (sleeps up to 3). Each has memory foam mattresses, AC and heat, and storage. All guests share access to the Purrapy Lodge — our air-conditioned lounge and bathrooms.

5 minutes from Ichetucknee Springs State Park — one of Florida's most beloved natural treasures. Tube, snorkel, kayak, and swim in 72-degree spring water. Grassy Springs Farm and Retreat is the first approved farmstay in Alachua County! We offer a peaceful and pet-friendly escape in the heart of rural Alachua. Guests can choose to stay in a cozy tiny house cabin, a fully equipped camper, or bring their own RV for a quiet getaway surrounded by nature.
Traveling with horses or pets is no problem. Each site is designed with animals in mind, including fully fenced dog yards and access to 2 one-eighth-acre fenced paddocks for horses.
All types of pets are welcome, and we’ve created a space where both people and their animals can relax comfortably. Onsite water is available for animals’ basic needs, whether that’s a dog bowl or a horse trough.
This is a great place for those looking to unplug. There are no electrical hookups for the RVs, offering a true back-to-basics experience in a quiet farm setting. The open space and paddock give horses room to stretch, and the peaceful surroundings are perfect for walks, outdoor time with your dog, or just enjoying nature.
Guests can also rent out multiple sites if they’d like to gather with extended family or friends. It’s an ideal setting to connect and unwind together while still having your own space.
At night, sit by the fire and take in the stars. Our location has Class 4 Bortle skies, making it a great spot for stargazing, telescopes, or astrophotography.
Please note that horseback riding is not allowed on the property, but there are plenty of nearby trails to explore during the day. Grassy Springs is the perfect spot to relax with your animals and enjoy the simple rhythm of life on a working farm.

Nice quiet private location. Services worked fine. No traffic. Walking distance to Kathy's Krab Shack. Stayed 3 nights. We we're only ones there, but there is plenty of space for two campers. Great for relaxing. Quaint little fishing village.

A cute little spot along a small river. We actually took our kayak out. Spot has full hookups and it shares a large lot with one other camper. We actually had a nice time chatting with our camper buddy. Sean was responsive right away to an issue that quickly was resolved due to miscommunication on the other campers part but he still felt he wanted to compensate us for any trouble. I’d recommend a stay here and definitely worth the money.

Nice peaceful and private primitive camping site, fire ring, picnic table, composting toilet and all the firewood you want( just bring a handsaw or small chainsaw) that is still close drive to gas stations, stores ect.
There is homes in the area and a state road that creates some noise in the weekday mornings a bit intrusive but nothing host can do about that especially with the nonstop Florida growth.
Would definitely camp there again .

Tom and Judy were amazing hosts, very kind and helpful. The property was beautiful. Our large group enjoyed exploring and spending time with cows, sheep, and donkeys (especially the kids). At night, the stars dominated the sky, like a cloak studded with sparkling diamonds. I highly recommend this property.

Weekend Trip to Purradise Springs
Our stay at Purradise Springs was magical. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed spending quality time outdoors and cuddling up with some of the MANY kitties the property owners take care of! We're really glad we could help support Denise and her husband's mission and look forward to visiting again in the future! It was just far enough away to enjoy a nature-filled getaway, but a great coffee shop was only 15 minutes down the road, and the gorgeous Ichetucknee Springs State Park was a quick drive down the road as well, making this an awesome location to stay.

I was so impressed with Kristen when I walked into the cabin, she thought of EVERYTHING and if you let them know you need something they bring it immediately, but really you lacked nothing. This is the first time I spend at a farm and I enjoyed it very much. If you are coming to this part of Florida I would definitely recommend you spend some time here I'll be back again.
