This is a perfect get away. Fish, paddleboard, kayak or swim right behind the house. Lisa is an awesome host. She is very responsive to questions and has lots small useful accessories for the trip. The best thing about this area is there is a Mermaid trail to find lots of beautiful Mermaids. Thanks Lisa!!

Very unique and cozy place! They have everything you need! Laundry, kayaks, a grill, mini fridge , dishes and cooking utensils and pans , and right on the water! Dog friendly and hosts are easy to contact and very accommodating! We will be back to manatee landing retreat! We loved it!

Great place to park my small RV. Right on the river canal that offered great kayaking. Comfortable out door furniture with tiki hut and grill. Kayaks furnished if you don't bring your own. Great place I would recommend and will visit again. Thanks for the great place!

We booked the RV spot at Manatee Landing Retreat for Mother’s Day weekend, and even though the weather was mostly rainy and cloudy, it didn’t rain on our parade! In fact, having the place mostly to ourselves made it feel like our own private oasis.
The tiki hut was a total game-changer—giving us shelter when the rain did come through, and a cozy place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. When the sun peeked out, we made the most of it with kayaking, bouncing on the trampoline, and exploring the beautiful area with our dogs, who absolutely loved it.
Even with the clouds, the peaceful vibe and thoughtful amenities made it a weekend to remember. We can’t wait to come back—hopefully with a little more sunshine next time

This is a charming spot complete with all the amenities to enjoy the river. Having use of the kayaks, fire pit and bbq made it feel like home and interacting with the other guests made it even better. Would stay here again.
If your vehicle is wide or you are not super confident backing up this space may be intimidating and it is difficult to use the dump so we chose not to at this spot. If you have a van or smaller camper there should be no problem.

What a gem! This place is a water, nature and plant lovers paradise! Launching your kayak (or there a LOTS to borrow) from the property takes it to an entire new level. The fire pit, tiki hut and grounds are great! Will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Weeki Watchee! PS - I saw manatee, dolphins, turtles, every bird imaginable when I was there in early April. The trick to be out of the crowds is go up ABOVE Rogers park toward Mud River. I’ve done all of Weeki many times and this was by far my favorite!

Great spot! Our 17ft van fit perfectly, with plenty of extra space. It was awesome having access to the kayaks and being able to launch right from the property. It was also walking distance to a few good restaurants if you aren’t feeling like cooking.

We were able to park our 40ft motor home with no problems and the lakeshore was 30ft out our door. Liz and Frank were wonderful friendly hosts. If we're ever back in the area, I would stay here hands down!

I loved my stay here. The land is natural but fairly level, you can park any type of rig however you want or spread out some tents with space. The access is easy, and you don't need to do any backing in.
The area is great, you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere at times but just around the corner are so many attractions and places to eat and drink.
We planned like 11 days here but stayed around 5 more. Had we not had something back home to take care of we would have actually stayed longer.
Joseph is a helpful host and gave us good info. We never met but I spoke to him on the phone very friendly.
We liked iot so much we bought a piece of land across the dirt road from it and are doing our winters down here in the future. I don''t have a bad word to say about this place. Had a great time there.

We had a great few days at manatee landing retreat ringing in the new year. we loved the location being right on the water with just a short paddle to the main river. Ilyse was great and very responsive. The site is set up for motor homes that can pull in to the spot. We have a 20’ trailer that we had to back in and even though the pad is oriented as a pull in it still worked great for us. If you do have to back a camper in just know that it is a very tight spot, I would recommend folks be skilled at backing a trailer to stay here. We are definitely looking forward to our next visit.

The site was great, you're at the end of a canal and hookups are right there. Mike has kayaks for you to use. There's plenty of Pub and Grills near by. You need to visit Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park just a short drive away.
