the campground is under an ancient canopy of oaks. so youll always have shade. the center of the property is unique to say the least but the campground is nature at its finest.
there is a 2.6 mile nature trail across from the campground to explore.
also there is a boat ramp for fishing about 1/8 mile away. you are welcome to roam over most of the 80 acres. We have goats, cows and chickens as well. All super friendly.

If you are a motorcycle enthusiast we are 30 minutes from Daytona Speedway and NSB Speedway. Kayak and surfing with your own or rentals are available.

If you're lucky enough to experience the wildlife that shows up regularly, you could have the pleasure of seeing wild animals like: turkeys, deer, pigs, armadillos, hawks, dragonflies, butterflies, turtles and many others.
We're proud of our oasis and thrilled to share it with folks that appreciate protected land as much as we do. The land is part of the resource corridor, which is protected wetlands and it is environmentally sensitive and ecologically significant. This means that it is an ecosystem that supports the wildlife and cannot be touched or manipulated in any way.
Lucy's place is our community space for you and your family's use. It has lots of seating, plenty of places to relax, a grill and outdoor sink for cooking, and a gas fireplace to enjoy the scenery at night. A hot tub awaits you, which is open to the stars and great after a day of lounging or fun out and about.

bought this hidden gem located outside Orlando on 12 acres of land. The existing barn, a 12000 sqft building was overgrown, not visible from the road and ready for demolition. The owners were able to save the construction, which is now being build up to code as their new home.
They call it "The Promise", and right now they live on the construction site in a camper, building on their vision, ready to welcome people who wants to pitch their tents on The Promised Land.

Shiloh was the name of an early Florida town that was once located just down the road from our property. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the river, building a home and forging a life in a new location. But Shiloh is now lost, literally removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space age pushed forward into the future.However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families.As a tribute to those early adventurers, we have named our place Camp Shiloh. We honor the past, we respect the wild Florida that surrounds us, and we celebrate the future as we watch rocket launches from our porch. Hi, I'm Danielle. My Mom, JoAnn, founded Black Horse Ranch in 2017. "You're family here" is something she said all the time to people who came to stay, and it is truly at the heart of our ranch. Black Horse is a place to enjoy nature, camping, campfires, and good company, in a place that feels like home.
The property is a beautiful campground nestled into a nook of the Ocala National Forest. We are surrounded on 3 sides by forest, and you can ride or hike straight from any of the many trailheads on property!
We offer 30 and 50amp sites, there is a bath house with full bathrooms and laundry, a Community Kitchen you are welcome to use, a screened in Pavilion for meals or hanging out, a POOL! (yes you read that right!) and a Clubhouse with couches, games and all! We have a few rentals (a cabin and RV) and we are working on getting more. We do have wifi on the property, and we also offer golf cart rentals.
If you have horses, you'll love coming to Black Horse. We are surrounded by countless trails through the forest with the trail heads sitting right on property, two barns for horses, many outdoor stalls and paddocks, wash racks, and an extra large riding arena.
There is world class fishing nearby at the St. John's River and we are right near many beautiful springs - which, if you have never spent time in a natural spring you will absolutely want to check that out! Kayaking, tubing, swimming galore in crystal clear waters. We are a 20 minute drive from the Villages which offers shopping, dining, and activities, as well as 20 minutes to historic Mount Dora which is a beautiful artsy downtown village. We are 1 hour from Daytona & New Smyrna, 1 hour from Orlando (Disney anyone?).
There is plenty to do on the ranch and nearby the ranch. You will have a blast. We'll see you by the campfire!
