Welcome to a sweet and soulful little piece of the woodlands.
Tucked in on 4.5 acres, this spot is a secluded, enchanting piece of old Florida. Stay in one of our three designated camping sites, tie up a hammock, gaze at the pond inhabitants****, and check out what's growing in the seasonal garden. Also enjoy the many flowering plants and other special trees.
Florida's gem-colored, healing spring waters are just a 20 minutes up the way and local retreat centers and yoga studios dot the area. Gator fans? Head into Gainesville for a game and to visit the University of Florida.
Mostly, enjoy. We look forward to hosting you!
To note for all guests: We suggest arriving before dark so as to make set up easy and comfortable. We do not require a formal check-in and encourage being self-reliable in set up of primitive campsites. (For something with more structure and a space already set up, check out our Aframe cabin.) We do have water, a composting toilet, sink, and groundtemp shower for your use.
*****Due to severe drought this year, we have lost the pond. We are still open for camping, but please note the pond is not as pictured. Thanks for your understanding during this tough time for our water table.******

Weekend Trip to Wildflower Pond and Woodlands
This little A-frame and surrounding property is absolutely perfect!!! It rained while I was there, and I had the best sleep ever listening to the rain on the roof. Allie left a little note, and set up firewood for me. All the little details were so wonderful. I highly recommend!!!

This was a wonderful experience. The site was clean and very taken care of. Nature treated us well, we got to see many beautiful birds. Nights were quiet and peaceful. The Pileated place is amazing, so cozy. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to camp. Bring peace with you, respect the owners and others living around that area.

One of the best experiences weve had. Allie was so amazing. You could see and feel the love in the detail. Still a primitive experience but with organization. She allowed us to pet her beautiful horses and made sure we felt welcomed.

Pileated Place was absolutely amazing and was a haven to relax in and slow down. I spent my birthday here with my sister, we stayed 3 nights and it was a blast. The shower, toilet, and sink are awesome perks. Plus there are fun springs and other attractions nearby!! I definitely recommend doing the farm tour with Allie at Five Hammocks Farm :)

This spot was so lovely! We stayed in the A-frame cabin that was cozy, we loved our campsite and this spot. Our last night of the three we heard the crickets and frogs chirping and it was pretty magical. Bummed we didn’t get to tour the farm, next time!

Weekend Trip to Wildflower Pond and Woodlands
Staying at Allies Pileated Place was awesome. We were just there to kind of have an adventure, see what worked for us, and what doesn’t. We’re learning little, by little, and we thought it was the perfect way to start camping. We loved hearing the dogs howling, the coyotes yipping, and the owls hooting at night. Would love to go back at some point in the future.
