We also have 3 units inside the lodge for the people who need just a step up from glamping, but not quite the whole hotel experience. These are beautiful comfortable rooms with half baths in the rooms. The showers are located in the lodge bathhouse. WE have the Jungle themed room, the Equestrian themed room and the Honeymoon Suite. Just go a little bit further until you see the sign for Camp Seminole Spring. Bring bug spray and sun screen. If you need something, don't worry! There is a Dollar General, a gas station and a small cafe within walking distance. We have 38 acres of camping sites nature trails for hiking and mountain biking. Guests can park right on their site, or they have the option of parking and hiking into the woods to set up their site a bit more remote and off the beaten path. This is rustic camping. We have a bathhouse located at the campsites with showers. The bathhouse at the Great Lodge hereas we do have garbage cans, we prefer that anything you bring into the property, you bring out with you. We allow campfires. The fishing is amazing in these parts, so if you are an angler, come and visit. We have .75 miles of frontage on the Orange Creek. The creek flows into Lake Ocklawaha which just so happens to be one of the best bass fishing lakes in the USA. In fact, ten-pound bass are not uncommon from the Lake Ocklawaha River in the winter. Recently (2020), a 17.2-pound bass was caught there. The combined Ocklawaha and St. Johns drainage basin is possibly the most significant river-estuary waterway of Florida. This water system is of legendary reputation among anglers of largemouth bass who seek 10 pound plus trophy fish. Conveniently located between Ocala and Gainesville in the heart of Orange Springs, Florida, Camp Seminole Spring is perfectly located for the traveler who wants to really connect with nature. It appears to be ‘off the beaten path’, yet it is close enough to civilization so that even the most seasoned camper can make a quick run to store should he or she need something not found in nature. Camp Seminole Spring is mid-way (approx.. 22 miles) between Ocala and Gainesville, Florida, which are two thriving cities in this area of Florida. Ocala, the ‘horse capital of the world’ showcases a brand new multi-billion-dollar equestrian center which draws people from all over the world. This scenic property has an artesian spring which pushes out 1.6 million gallons of water per day rated among the top three percent of water in the world with an 8.4 natural pH. This water fills the pond and then continues on to flow into Orange Creek. Camp Seminole Springs was established in the 1940’s as a honeymoon resort and campground. The founders built a heart-shaped ‘pond-spring’ which is filled with the crystal-clear water pushed out from the spring where guests can lounge by the beach or gaze down into the bottom through the glass-like water or take a refreshing swim. At the top of the hill overlooking the heart-shaped spring, one will find the rustic Great Lodge where guests can come and mingle with each other, enjoy a relaxing conversation and a drink on the veranda or just sit and watch the activity in and around the spring.

Lakefront property is located in between Hawthorne and Interlachen out in the wooded countryside (decidedly rural) on a dead-end road as it turns to dirt -- usually very peaceful and quiet. Central location serves as a good base camp for day trips to the ocean beaches at either the Atlantic or the Gulf Coast, the manatees at various springs, or Ocala horse country. Variety of shops and restaurants are located in Gainesville to the west or Palatka to the east, both an easy drive on S.R. 20. BOONDOCKING SITE: Must be self-contained and leave no trace. Accepting only one camping guest vehicle at a time. The homeowner property is fenced with drive-through wing gates, host will greet you upon arrival so you can choose your spot either in the shade or in the sun or somewhat in between as the sandy ground slopes gently to the private lake. Best for vans, SUVs, or those with car and tent. Please inquire regarding compact RVs -- due to overhanging branches of oak shade trees, and limited size of the 0..66 acre lot, cannot accommodate large RVs or travel trailers. Potable water available from the yard's garden hose, but cannot offer power, and there's no public restroom or dump station. Small bags of trash or two can go in our communal covered trash bin. BUNKHOUSE OPTION: Charming dry-camp lakefront cottage (no running water) with basic electrical (cannot handle high-draw electrical devices like heaters or A/C units) has a van-life type camp toilet (bag #2, collect urine/#1; proper disposals supported by Host), jug of local spring water for drinking, bed options include a new twin mattress in upper sleeping loft and a new cot-width padded chaise lounge below (clean fitted bottom sheet and pillowcase provided per stay). Guests provide their own towels and toiletries. Some basic camping kitchen/household items provided. Guests are welcome to use the homeowner Host's vintage rowboat, kayaks, communal firepit, and/or wooden dock. Or there's a small tire-rim firepit by the shorefront. Firewood bundle with kindling available for a small fee. Not best property for traveling with pets, may be negotiable on a case-by-case basis, due to homeowner's dog (communicate directly with Host prior to booking). Guest pets would have to remain on tether at all times while on premises. 2 nights at Serene Forested Blueberry Farm

The hosts and everyone else staying on the property was so friendly and welcoming! My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary and it was exactly what we needed! We stayed in the scotty mccoy which is one of their smallest campers they have on property but had a nice king size bed inside which is all we needed for our 2 night stay. We got to hangout with the 3 cats on the property, along with the chickens, and ducks which we loved. We picked fresh blackberries from the bushes on the property as well as fresh eggs:) the tiki lit shower was one of our favorite feature of the space and provided a woody oasis feel! we plan on coming back and loved our experience not only on the property but in the surrounding areas as well.

This was my fourth stay at Cassandra and Walter’s beautiful Hipcamp, and my first time in the Bee Hive — which might just be my new favorite setup. It’s cozy, creative, and has that peaceful, tucked‑away charm that makes it so easy to unwind. My pups and I always feel completely at home here. The hosts are truly some of the sweetest, most thoughtful people you’ll ever meet. Every stay feels personal, cared for, and full of heart. Whether it’s the quiet mornings, the fresh eggs you can get directly from their pretty chicks, the garden or the warm welcome that never fades, this place never disappoints. We had a wonderful time staying in Little Lulu with our dogs! Everyone was so welcoming and the directions to the spot were really clear. We loved getting a tour of the land and even got to pick some vegetables and herbs for the campfire chili we made. We also had access to fresh farm eggs! It was a great place to unplug and enjoy some time outdoors.

This is a unique experience and my 4 year old loved it! The camper was cozy and perfect for myself, son and our dog. The grounds are well kept, incredible outdoor shower and super friendly hosts! 12/10 experience.

Beautiful little spot, I wish we could’ve stayed an extra night. The trail around the property is so pretty, especially at night. I loved being able to take the dogs into the spring in the middle of the property and kayak around it. The glamping tents had everything we needed and more with a beautiful view!

It was a very comfortable and pleasant cabin. Everything needed for a short or long term stay. Bring only clothes and groceries. The cabin was quaint, decorated nicely. I sat by the fire with my morning coffee. It was great.

Sweet little spot that feels very private even though there were other campers around. The layout of the campground is very intentional and thoughtful. Fresh eggs, outdoor shower, and pre-built fire were excellent touches, as others have said. I was worried their might be competition for the toilet or shower, but it was never an issue.

The glamping looked same as the pictures mentioned in here. The glamping that I booked had 4 beds, 2 chairs, one night lamp, one heater, 4 power outlets, small barbecue, private attached bath (toilet, shower, sink, mirror, only cold water, shower was slightly broken but didn’t stop me from bathing, may be we could ask them if they have an extra shared bathroom). A wooden outdoor table for 4 or 6 people. A campfire arrangement. They will provide woods, you may ask them for lighting them. I brought my own matchbox and all. The glamping I stayed had a beautiful pond or spring view. They had boat, kayaks you can use them. I don’t know if we can borrow from them for outside activities. Site was clean and fresh. I had privacy. I stayed safe there. You got to ask for wifi and password. Bring your own bedsheets, pillows, etc., I would recommend this to my friends and family. I would book this site again for my future trips.

We could have stayed at a hotel in Gainesville, but nothing compares to sitting on the porch of Quatermoon under an almost-full moon, sipping wine and chatting with our wonderful hosts. We have been here several times and will be back.

Weekend Trip to Serene Forested Blueberry Farm

Cassandra and Walt were wonderful hosts and have a beautiful set of land that is well maintained for their guests. I stayed in the cabin, which was perfectly curated for a home-y, country feel. The cabin was fully stocked with everything you may need in the kitchen and bathroom, which made packing a breeze! There was a grill, table & chairs, and a fire pit on the outside of the cabin which made a great evening hangout spot. (Firewood provided) They have chickens which you’re welcome to grab eggs from, and a couple adorable kitties running around to try and make friends with. My favorite part of my stay here is how dog friendly they are! I brought my border collie and he had the BEST time being able to roam around and smell things, and the cabin was perfect to leave him in while I was at the local springs kayaking. The property also has several camper and tent sites, which is great to have options but even better that I was able to have several friends book on the same property! I highly recommend this Hipcamp and will definitely be back!

3 nights at Serene Forested Blueberry Farm

My two children (4yo and 7yo) and I spent three nights at the cottage and we are already thinking when we could go back!!! March weather was fantastic and the property was perfect for us so we had no need to explore anywhere else. The cottage itself had everything I/we needed (in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom) so my stay was stress free. When we first entered, there was music playing inside so it felt like we just returned home from running errands. The dried lavender in the bedroom was also a very nice little detail. The owners were super friendly and accommodating. My kids connected with their granddaughter and were playing outside all day long. They were allowed to pick fresh eggs from the chicken coop, run around freely and just be kids which I really appreciate. I walked around barefoot, cooked on the grill, we ate outside, we made fire at night and in the mornings I drank coffee on the steps watching butterflies and listening to birds chirping. I feel recharged, kids have new memories and we cannot wait to visit again. Our new happy place - Thank you!

Stayed in Little Lulu for a paddling trip on the Ocklawaha. The property is so convenient for exploring Ocala. The camper is so cute, clean and comfortable. Cassandra is such a wonderful host and has done such a great job with all the details and thoughtful touches. Can't wait to visit again soon.
