Weekend Trip to Wildcat Creek Educational Ctr

We had a wonderful time! Mr. Bill offered us several spots to pitch our tent and we chose right next to the creek so we could hear the water through the night. And it was fabulous. We heard Chuck-Wills-Widows singing along with the creek cooing while we relaxed by the fire. It was a short walk to the bathroom but it was worth it. Mr. Bill was friendly but respectful of our time and space. He offered us a tour and coffee and we were happy to hang out and learn from him. His property is eclectic but for conservationists like us it is a delight! We will visit again for sure. I would recommend bringing extra lights to hang on the trees, we had a few and it was super helpful finding our way in the dark.

5 nights at New Deer Point Lake Front RV Pad

Loved the view. The cottages were full the whole time, but we still felt like we had the whole site to ourselves. It is out from the hustle and bustle, but still close to everything you need. One of the neighbors has dogs, but they only barked when someone pulled up. I didn't get to catch a 27 lb bass because the wind would not cooperate, but i feel like a record breaker is in there somewhere. Sadly I did not see any alligators.. lol

Bill, the host and owner of the property, embodies good vibes and hospitality. Made us feel right at home and exchanged wonderful stories about life and the world. There’s so much character, intrigue, and nature to enjoy at the site, which includes a swimming creek, quality restroom facilities, school buses, a nice kitchen, gathering area, and a few rustic structure great for sleeping. Our one night tent camping in wildcat is an experience I’ll always treasure and i hope to be back soon.

New in Fall 2023, this beautiful lake front RV pad has access to Deer Point Lake with a private dock, 2 fishing Kayaks, a charcoal grill, picnic tables, and a lake side fire pit for guest use. A private boat dock and trailer parking is available for guest use as well. There is 50 amp service for RVs and an additional 50 / 240 volt EV plug for our guests traveling in electric vehicles. The price includes electric, sewage and water hookup as well for you RV or Camper. Additional $15 to have access to the EV charger during your stay. Deer Point lake is known for its big bass and record Shellcrackers so bring your fishing pole, boat or jet ski. Fishing, hunting, birding, kayaking, or boating on the rivers make for great day activities. Relaxing on the lake just steps outside your front door is also a good option. The property is located 20 minutes from Panama City beach, Pier Park, and several other beaches. It is only 15 minutes from Panama City airport, 20 minutes from Tyndall Air Force Base, and a 45 minute drive to Seaside and 30A area.
