Runaway Bay Lodge is the first private property past The Pine Island RV Campground, on the right side of the street. OUR PROPERTY IS NOT LOCATED IN THE CAMPGROUND. This can be exciting, but dangerous. Please do not feed or approach the wildlife. You may see alligators, snakes, otters, manatees, as well as several species of fish and birds, including, but not limited to, american bald eagles, egret, heron, seagulls, bass, mullet, crappie, bluegill and more. I recently had the pleasure of using Hi-Camp for my first camping experience, and it was truly exceptional! Kennedy and Kristina were outstanding hosts, going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Kennedy, in particular, graciously waited for us to arrive well past our scheduled check-in time, providing us with a warm welcome and a comprehensive tour of the campsite. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, and falling asleep to the soothing sounds of the lake waves was just what I needed to unwind. I couldn't have asked for a better getaway experience. I highly recommend Kennedy’s Land to anyone looking for a serene escape into nature!

This is a great spot! Incredibly relaxing and full of fresh air. I loved laying out on the deck, fishing, and having a safe place to spend the night with nature on the other side of the door. The site comes plenty of amenities (hot shower, window AC units, indoor plumbing, stovetop burners, microwave, and fridge among other things). The owners have done a great job decorating the place, making functional and comfortable living spaces, and are just genuinely nice and sweet people. I had a great time and will be back!

Our stay at Runaway Bay was delicious in every way! From the moment we stepped onto the property we could feel the care that Kennedy and Christina take in meeting the needs of each guest. It was our gift to ourselves for our first night as husband and wife to step out of our comfort zones and Runaway Bay was the perfect physical and energetic space to begin our journey as a couple. What a piece of 'old Florida' paradise! The cabin was absolutely perfect for a quiet, unplugged weekend. Highly recommended!!! The cabin has everything you need to make modest meals and the beds are comfy. We especially enjoyed the sweet cat, fireflies at night, reading on the dock, and watching the ducks bathe. We are definitely going to be back! Side note - the dock was pretty shallow when we were there (water is low in general right now), so I would check with Christina about your boat draft before booking with your own boat.

My husband and i have birthdays within a couple weeks of each other and decided to celebrate them at Cristina’s property. The WiFi password hints at getting off your devices and we took that advice to heart. Naps, reading, walks/exploration, bike rides, wild animals, farm animals (including the friendliest kitty), sunsets, and sunrises was the prescription and the Waterfront Island Bungalow delivered. On top of that, Cristina and Ed were gracious and welcoming hosts. If you are looking to relax and unplug, this should be your destination. We’ll be back.

This was an outstanding experience. The hosts are kind, intentional, and organized while the cat, goats, ducks & chickens fill out an ensemble cast. It isn’t exactly an “old Florida” vibe but both Publix & Whole Foods are over an hour (plus a boat ride) away. Amaze your followers with the words “secluded cabin on a private island” but be prepared to bring your own mimosas and canapés.

What a unique and cozy stay! The hosts were incredibly friendly all around and had no shortage of fun activities to recommend to us. Since the venue is on an island, we took advantage of their water taxi service, canoed around the waters, lounged around the farm animals, ate some fresh eggs, and biked through the scenic forest. Also, they invited us to join them for new years celebration, how neat! The cabin is fully furnished so we just had to bring food and clothes. The days went by too fast; definitely want to visit again.

We had the most amazing stay at this site! From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel right at home, and the experience only got better from there. The breathtaking water views were the highlight of our trip—waking up to that serene scenery each day was such a treat. We spent our days paddleboarding on the lake, playing pool, and relaxing in the hot tub. The kitchen had everything we needed, making it so easy to cook and enjoy meals together. We spent NYE here and left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already planning our return. This place is an absolute gem, and we can’t wait to come back!

We loved our stay! This place has such a unique charm, and Kennedy was very kind and accommodating. The tent was spacious, and it was so nice to fall asleep to the sounds of the water. We loved hanging out watching all the wildlife on the water, and the sunsets were so beautiful and right in front of the tent! It was such a relaxing and rejuvenating stay, we would definitely come back! The shared kitchen space was well stocked with cooking utensils which was very helpful. Thank you!

This island cabin was truly a magical experience. The cabin itself is gorgeously decorated, comfortable, and scenic. The animals on the property are charming and add such a layer of fun. The hosts are readily available but give space for your own adventure. I had a perfect trip there with my two children and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again! Perfect combination of remote and exciting but cozy and safe.

I mean it can’t get better than this. Right on the water of Lake George and one of the prettiest sunsets I’ve ever seen. Mid November is the perfect time to be in the waterside tent 🥰 We did not have access to the hot tub or dock due to the recent hurricanes but yet Kennedy found a way to make sure the vibes were still unmatched. Will most likely return!
