Weekend Trip to Quail Run Ranch

A beautiful property in some piney, scrub habitat. The campsite was quiet at night and very close to Shell Mound. The view of the sky was great! The only downside were the unrelenting No-see-ums in the evening hours.

Weekend Trip to THE Farmstay for Animal Lovers!

What an amazing stay. The wagon was beautiful and clean. We had everything that we needed and the beds were very comfy. We loved sitting by the fire pit and enjoying the nature around us. I really loved feeding the animals and having them roam around freely around you was a treat ! Elaine was a lovely host and very attentive. I would definitely go back! Thank you Elaine for a wonderful weekend.

What a gem of a place. All the farm animals wandering around, with as much right to be there as any human. A chance to hang out, get to know them, pet them, feed them even, and nourish cross species relationships. :-) my partner and children and I loved this place. I would love to return again.

Weekend Trip to THE Farmstay for Animal Lovers!

It was AMAZING!! We stayed in the Wagon #2 it was clean had very nice bathrooms, comfortable bed everything you could ask for. Loved feeding the animals and got to help brush the horses. Elaine was an amazing host and workers were more then helpful with questions and telling you about the animals and how some got lucky to make it to Elaine’s farm. Would definitely do it again!

We loved our spring break stay, so peaceful and still convenient to stores or restaurants if needed. It was so nice to have an outhouse with plumbing, our kids loved the animals, trampoline, and most of all, the kitty cat that came by to check on us daily 😆. Would absolutely recommend!

Cute little spot in a rural area outside Micanopy (south of Gainesville), great location for exploring this area of beautiful Old Florida. The sites are well equipped with full hookups and a cute little “outhouse“ between the sites (it’s fully plumbed so not your usual smelly outhouse, rather a small bathroom). Fun to see the farm animals. Only drawback was the rooster crowing quite a lot from early hours into the morning (which is what roosters do, but just worth mentioning). Friendly and helpful hosts who loaned us a septic hose when ours had cracked.

2 nights at Collins Farm

What a beautiful place! It's peaceful and the goats kept us entertained. It's very close to Micanopy - a cute town with antiques and cafe. We also enjoyed Paynes Prarie and saw bison! The campsite is level and plenty of room to back in. Full Hookups and big garbage can. Definitely recommend.

5 nights at Maribella's Corner

Maribel and Dano were wonderful hosts. Lived around the corner and came to check on us but was not at all TOO present. The neighbors were all lovely except for one “Karen” - but Maribel and Dani nipped that bud immediately. Did some fishing at the dock and enjoy the quiet countryside bliss. Price was a huge plus for full hook ups! Be back soon!

My family really enjoyed camping here. The animals were all very friendly and fun to watch. There were baby goats while we were there that were really enjoyed watching. Very peaceful location, well away from a quiet country road. The site was level and the amenities worked well. I’d recommend bringing a water filter. Great communication with the hosts. We will stay here again in a heartbeat.

Ideally located in the heart of spring country in North Central Florida, we have over 18 major springs within a 50-mile radius of this location, which allows for all the outdoor exploration and watersports you desire. With tubing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, swimming, boating, and fishing available within feet of the campsite, you can stay nearby or venture out to some of the best springs in the world. Boaters – Private boat ramp is 200 yards up the road on the Santa Fe, public boat ramps within 10 miles on the Santa Fe and Suwannee rivers. Come on out to the country for the experience of a lifetime interacting with sweet farm animals in luxury accommodations or bring your own RV or a tent and "rough" it in your choice of spots on our beautiful 20 acre property surrounded by lots of amazing wild creatures of all sorts and our friendly animal ambassadors. We have butterfly gardens, one with a bee hive, and we're surrounded by natural woodlands in a convenient yet private and peaceful setting. Maybe you'll spot a bald eagle getting a meal from our ponds! There's so much to see and enjoy right here at the sanctuary, we have over 100 rescued animals who can't wait to meet you and maybe bum a snack from you too. If you get bored, there is plenty to do nearby: Goldhead Park, a paved Bike Trail, Jacksonville, St Augustine, High Springs, Ocala and Gainesville are all within an hour's drive. Melrose is quaint and rural. We don't rush here. Except at feeding time! You'll get to experience that too if you get out early enough. (9AM) We can't wait to meet you! You'll come as a guest and leave as a friend! No smoking in our units, no pets due to our animals and our Anatolian guard dog who will love you but not a pooch they don't know. The wildlife that you see is dependent on the season but likely includes deer, sand cranes, and the occasional bald eagles. Pets are welcome. We just ask for the safety of our farm friends that they stay on a leash. A fire pit and picnic table is at each site. We also include animal feed so you can feed the animals through the fence at your leisure. We kindly ask that you only feed them their feed and no other feed to ensure their health. For those needing grocery delivery. Instacart and Shipt delivers to Collins Farm on a regular basis. The historic town of Micanopy is just a few minutes' drive from Collins Farm and offers antique shopping, restaurants, unique gift shops, and entertainment.
