We are nestled on a private road on top of a hill backed up to 2100 acres of New York Gaundry Hill State Forest. There's waterways with active Beaver ponds between our properties. We do have bear and a mountain lion up here.
We are 420 friendly!
Sites are on top of the hill in a very secluded spot with a small campfire.
We offer organic vegetables from the garden and work almost everyday in our blacksmith/woodworking shop.
For a nice experience for adventurous families, you are welcome to accompany us on our herding of our goats/milking, collect eggs for your own breakfast.
We offer a unique place to unwind. Conveniently located near Watkins Glenn, Corning, Bath, and Penn Yan. Perfect get away and an inexpensive alternative to the hotels when you go to the races, lakes, wine tours, museums or many other great attractions around our area. Benches and hammocks are found throughout the property: there is plenty of space for you to enjoy the quiet serenity of an overnight in the countryside. Our garden is perfect for intimate ceremonies & an excellent place to gather under the sun and stars.
A remote setting, you’re close enough to feel at home but deep enough in the woods to get away from it all.
Need more excitement? Stergelandia is teeming with life! Nightly, hear the frogs and the howl of the coyotes! We’ve seen deer, foxes, turkeys, hawks, chipmunks and bear on the property-a wildlife lovers paradise! We are 9 minutes from the Genesee River access point where fishing and paddling is plentiful!
Guests with T-Mobile, ATT and Cricket have reliable cell service. Guests with Verizon report they are offline, leaving them free to their your phone for photos without the interruptions of outside life.

Our homestead, in cooperation with hipcamp, would like to offer our handicapped accessible site, parking and rustic wagon for any family that has a handicapped child that would like to have the full experience our homestead has to offer with interaction with our animals, camping and campfires, the campsite is large enough for a handicapped accessible van as well as a pull behind popup trailer or a 26' low profile r.v. the rustic wagon will accommodate smaller children or those that could crawl onto a queen size bed.
We have lots of very lovable goats that love interacting with people, 7 babies......plus pigs and chickens, and our homestead is deep in the woods.....full reimbursement i.e. free of charge.

Our property is very wooded,, secluded area on two and a half acres., it is on a hill, parking is about a football field distance from the campsite, rugged walking, very doable, bring appropriate footwear.
We are nestled on a private road on top of a hill backed up to 2100 acres of New York Gaundry Hill State Forest. There's waterways with active Beaver ponds between our properties. We do have bear and a mountain lion up here.
We are 420 friendly!
Sites are on top of the hill in a very secluded spot with a small campfire.
We offer organic vegetables from the garden and work almost everyday in our blacksmith/woodworking shop.
For a nice experience for adventurous families, you are welcome to accompany us on our herding of our goats/milking, collect eggs for your own breakfast.
We offer a unique place to unwind. Conveniently located near Watkins Glenn, Corning, Bath, and Penn Yan. Perfect get away and an inexpensive alternative to the hotels when you go to the races, lakes, wine tours, museums or many other great attractions around our area. Weekend Trip to Overgrown Ridge Camp By Letchworth
My girlfriend and I went here for Valentines Day. We went to letchworth state park before hand and saw the waterfalls and walked around the available paths that weren’t closed off in the winter. The site is about 20 minutes away. The driveway was easy to find and plenty of space to park and unpack. Jalin left us a wagon to put our stuff in and walk the plowed path to the tent. The tent is very secluded and private and quite cozy inside. It’s very clean and tidy inside. The chocolate chip cookies he left were delicious. The bed was quite comfortable and we stayed warm from the wood stove and the blankets provided even though it was below frozen outside the tent. We were very happy with our stay and would recommend to anyone visiting in the letchworth area.

Weekend Trip to A-Frame In The Woods
The A frame kept us warm and dry. Even though we had a bit of rain all day. I had no issues driving my 4 wheel drive truck across the field. The outhouse was one of the cleanest I have ever seen. Great view of sunrise in the morning. We didn’t want to sleep in the loft. So we brought 2 cots and still had room to move around.

This was a really fun stay in a well-equipped tent. The bed was super comfortable with pillows and extra linens provided. The dresser had some cooking utensils and the hosts even provided pour over coffee and cookies! The wood stove helped keep the cold away (in the teens at night) and they even got it going before we arrived and dropped off 5 gallons of water. Having solar power and lights was really great. Probably the nicest outhouse I've ever been in. Jalin was really nice and very accommodating having plowed the snow on the trail back to the tent (about 150 yards). We snowshoed on the trails and took our dogs out in the snow. They loved and so did we!

Beautiful property and so convenient to not have to put up my own tent. The tent is wonderful equipped with a wood burning stove. I camped on a reeeealllly cold & windy night so it was nice to have my Mr. Buddy heater to supplement in the middle of the night when I didn’t feel like tending to the fire. I didn’t have time to explore the other paths and I’m so bummed because it looked like an amazing place to frolick! If you are a star gazer, this is your place! The hosts were so amazing and very accommodating. I appreciated the fire!

Weekend Trip to Overgrown Ridge Camp By Letchworth
The site is tucked back in hidden from everything but a field. The tent is great and the wood stove worked wonderfully once we remembered how vents work. The bed was quite comfortable but pick your side wisely if you are over 6 ft.
The outhouse seems brand new and the short trails around the property are a nice morning walk.
We were comfortably warm in the 30s, except for when I let the fire go out. Will definitely be stopping by again when it warms back up.

Been to the cabin several times. Very beautiful and well kept. Very peaceful with hiking trails with views that are amazing. The owner is great he even kept cabin open for us two weeks after he usually shut down for the season. If you get a chance definitely check out this hip camp.

Cozy and warm A frame! Nice wood stove that is easy to use. The loft bed was comfortable, remember to bring your bedding! We brought a couple strands of twinkle lights and made this magical little getaway perfect. Solar lights illuminate the pathway to the outhouse. We left a candle for the next guests. Enjoy!
