However, we provide battery packs and solar options for your convenience. The dish sink operates with a foot pump connected to a 5-gallon water jug. Guests are welcome to bring their own wood or explore the surrounding area for available resources. For your safety, please exercise caution when venturing into the woods and avoid approaching the active train tracks located at the back of the property. While the passing train adds to the rustic charm of the setting, it may NOT be suitable for light sleepers. Road traffic noise tends to calm down in quiet hours. Bed sleeps 2 but up to 3 welcome. A diverse population of wild birds visit and nest here, including our summer pond resident green heron. A creek with waterfall runs through the property. Cabin is on the edge of a tree-lined pond. Host will meet with you upon arrival to give overview of land layout. We live and work here, but will respect your privacy and space. We ask that you please do the same, which includes all the living inhabitants here. We are in farm country, so at times there may be tractors, manure spreading, mowing, etc. in nearby fields. Also, the frogs make quite a ruckus on the pond in the evening.

There are 3 wonderful wineries within 5 miles of your door, bring a bottle home and enjoy it by an outdoor campfire, or just sit on the patio and look up at the night sky. In the morning you can make your coffee by the cup, or carafe then sit on the patio and watch the sunrise. Major department and food stores are just minutes away. Come stay for a day and you will end up wanting to stay for more, a minimum 3 day 2 night stay is recommended.
