Just a mile down the road, you'll find access to Lake Erie, boasting a small beach and kayak slip. On clear nights, don't miss the opportunity to gaze at the stunning stars above. As your host, Brian, a National Geographic cinematographer, has infused the cabin with photography and treasures from his global journeys, adding a unique touch to your stay. Features include: - Private driveway - 12-foot porch with a porch bar - Four windows for a refreshing cross breeze (East-West orientation) - Finished floors, walls, and ceiling, with insulated walls for comfort - Double bed and reading desk - 7-slot vinyl record bar for music enthusiasts - Wood stove (available November - February) - Lockable doors for security - Fire ring and camping chairs for outdoor enjoyment - Porta-potty with pump sink - Garbage bin and dish sink -Common Kitchen items like plates, bowls, cups, cutlery etc… -Garbage Bags (If garbage is used please take with you upon departure) Please note that this is a true campsite experience and not an Airbnb rental, meaning there is no electricity, water, or sewer on the property. However, we provide battery packs and solar options for your convenience. The dish sink operates with a foot pump connected to a 5-gallon water jug. Guests are welcome to bring their own wood or explore the surrounding area for available resources. For your safety, please exercise caution when venturing into the woods and avoid approaching the active train tracks located at the back of the property. While the passing train adds to the rustic charm of the setting, it may NOT be suitable for light sleepers. Road traffic noise tends to calm down in quiet hours. Bed sleeps 2 but up to 3 welcome. Conveniently located approximately 45 minutes from Letchworth State Park, 15 minutes from Six Flags Darien Lake Theme Park, and about 20 minutes from Batavia and Warsaw, our farm offers easy access to a variety of attractions. Just 5 minutes away in the Village of Attica, you'll find a large park featuring a walking path, expansive playground, dog park, basketball court, splash pad, and pavilions. Our property features a sprawling open field at the base of a gentle hill, with additional farm fields and acres of woods atop the hill. The campsites are nestled along the edge of a hedgerow and into a wooded walking path, providing shelter from the wind. For your convenience, two port-a-johns are located within walking distance of the tents, and we supply fire pits and firewood. During your stay, you'll likely interact with Stephen, our primary host. Allison may also be available, and you might even receive a surprise visit from Stephen's father, who owns the farmland surrounding the campsites.

Farm encompasses a mature hardwood forest, large organic vegetable garden, pollinator gardens, plant nursery, fruit and nut trees and shrubs. A diverse population of wild birds visit and nest here, including our summer pond resident green heron. A creek with waterfall runs through the property. Cabin is on the edge of a tree-lined pond. Host will meet with you upon arrival to give overview of land layout. We live and work here, but will respect your privacy and space. We ask that you please do the same, which includes all the living inhabitants here. We are in farm country, so at times there may be tractors, manure spreading, mowing, etc. in nearby fields. Also, the frogs make quite a ruckus on the pond in the evening.

The home was originally built in 1903 and is currently updated and remodeled for today’s codes and standards. 47 acres of accessible woods and pasture remain for hiking and at the top of the property a breath-taking view across Lake Erie into Ontario Canada. Great location for winter sports just 20 minutes from the newly renovated and reopened Cockaigne ski resort, and it’s just miles from access to marked snow mobile trails. Mud room makes it easy to shed and store boots and jackets. Spring time activities includes “March maple syrup madness” and exploring the Amish communities of Chautauqua county. For summertime it is just minutes to the Lake Erie shoreline and Dunkirk harbor for aquatic activities. In the Fall you cannot beat the canopy of colors. There are 3 wonderful wineries within 5 miles of your door, bring a bottle home and enjoy it by an outdoor campfire, or just sit on the patio and look up at the night sky. In the morning you can make your coffee by the cup, or carafe then sit on the patio and watch the sunrise. Major department and food stores are just minutes away. Come stay for a day and you will end up wanting to stay for more, a minimum 3 day 2 night stay is recommended.
