We have a nice little RV pad on the back of our coastal home. Situated on a little bayou that opens out into Choctawhatchee Bay. Crab Island is only a 10 minute boat ride away. You would have access to our small dock and there is a neighborhood boat ramp less than one hundred feet away. This is a great place for kayaks, wave runners, and small boats. If you don't have a boat, we can set up any kind of trip you want. We are all licensed captains and own multiple Crab Island businesses. So we can set up charters for you on the following boats:
Sailing trip on a restored 1963 Pearson Ensign. Can accommodate up to 6 people. This is a classic sailboat that is easy to sail and easy to learn to sail.
A restored 1966 Boston Whaler that is perfect for couples looking for a sunset cruise, etc. Can accommodate up to 6 people but it perfect for 2 -4. We can go to Crab Island, look for dolphins or find our own private island beach.
Waverunner tours. We can take you on a guided wave runner tour looking for dolphins and private beaches. You will drive one wave runner while our licensed captain guided you on another one. Insurance does not allow us to rent these out solo but there are many good vendors in the area to do that.
Inshore flats skiff targeting redfish and trout on light spinning gear and fly rods. This boat is best fished with no more than 3 people.

There are livestock guardian dogs that protect the farm. They sleep lots during the day and patrol at night so they bark lots at night...
We are a REAL WORKING FARM. You can join in on morning feeding or collet eggs. You can watch or help with morning milking!
If you are real adventurous you can help around the farm!!!
You can pitch you tent in the pine forest or in the open area next to the ponds!

Also there are green lanes and fields and if your lucky you can catch site or deer, turkeys, all sorts of birds maybe even a cute baby armadillo. In just over 45 minutes you can be playing on the beach in Panama City Beach, (world’s most beautiful beaches). Something a little different is just a few minutes away Falling Waters state park (Florida's tallest waterfall) and a swimming hole with walking trails. Speaking of swimming Ponce De Leon spring is big and beautiful clear blue hole spring to the west. Or go east to Marriana, about the same distance and you can visit Florida Caverns (Florida's only touring cave) with a beautiful spring with swimming, and hiking there too. We have guest also go to the Econfina Springs and canoe rental and spend a day floating the beautiful Ecofina River with 8 springs to visit on a days float. There are many State parks so close. If you want to go out to eat or socialize a local brewery and restaurants are very close and beautiful Alabama too! We are super easy to visit if you are coming from the north out of Dothan are on Interstate 10 we are just Located 1.4 miles North of Interstate right on Hwy 231. Easy access to the interstate, fuel and shopping. The farm is gated with a remote controlled gate for security. All our RV sites have full hook ups with 15, 30, and 50 amp connections, great clean water and sewer at each site. So if you would enjoy visiting our beautiful getaway we would love to have you and we strive to show all our guest how much we appreciate them visiting. A restored 1966 Boston Whaler that is perfect for couples looking for a sunset cruise, etc. Can accommodate up to 6 people but it perfect for 2 -4. We can go to Crab Island, look for dolphins or find our own private island beach.
Waverunner tours. We can take you on a guided wave runner tour looking for dolphins and private beaches. You will drive one wave runner while our licensed captain guided you on another one. Insurance does not allow us to rent these out solo but there are many good vendors in the area to do that.
Inshore flats skiff targeting redfish and trout on light spinning gear and fly rods. This boat is best fished with no more than 3 people.

The neighborhood is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Fort Walton with large oaks and magnolias providing plenty of shade for bike riding and walking. Downtown Fort Walton with its shops and quaint restaurants is only a mile away. Didn't bring a bike, we have 2 you can use.
During the summer, there are fireworks every Wednesday night that are viewable from this spot.

Also there are green lanes and fields and if your lucky you can catch site or deer, turkeys, all sorts of birds maybe even a cute baby armadillo. In just over 45 minutes you can be playing on the beach in Panama City Beach, (world’s most beautiful beaches). Something a little different is just a few minutes away Falling Waters state park (Florida's tallest waterfall) and a swimming hole with walking trails. Speaking of swimming Ponce De Leon spring is big and beautiful clear blue hole spring to the west. Or go east to Marriana, about the same distance and you can visit Florida Caverns (Florida's only touring cave) with a beautiful spring with swimming, and hiking there too. We have guest also go to the Econfina Springs and canoe rental and spend a day floating the beautiful Ecofina River with 8 springs to visit on a days float. There are many State parks so close. If you want to go out to eat or socialize a local brewery and restaurants are very close and beautiful Alabama too! We are super easy to visit if you are coming from the north out of Dothan are on Interstate 10 we are just Located 1.4 miles North of Interstate right on Hwy 231. Easy access to the interstate, fuel and shopping. The farm is gated with a remote controlled gate for security. All our RV sites have full hook ups with 15, 30, and 50 amp connections, great clean water and sewer at each site. So if you would enjoy visiting our beautiful getaway we would love to have you and we strive to show all our guest how much we appreciate them visiting. Weekend Trip to Glamping In Paradise
We had the most amazing weekend! The entire set up was breathtaking and very romantic! The gardens and plants were beautiful and my absolute favorite part along with the outdoor shower because long hot showers were wanted at the end of our day.
We spent the full day Saturday with rented e-bikes tours Florida Caverns State Park and sightseeing the caverns.
Very impressed the hosts thought of everything we could have possibly needed and left nothing to run and get, we will definitely book again!

We loved our stay in the yurt! It was so cozy and had everything we needed from first aid kit, to snacks, and fire wood. Our dogs probably has the best time of all of us exploring the property and finding the creek. We rented a canoe and floated the river 30 minutes away (Cypress Springs) which I strongly recommend! Dollar general and the local market was just a 2 minute drive for any necessities but the campsite is tucked off away from the road.

Me and my girlfriend LOVED this place. Still had outdoorsy camping vibes with a cozy bed. Had an outdoor kitchen for cooking and had all the necessities for a charcoal grill and a camp fire. All the lights added an amazing touch as well along with the bottle of wine and the glasses. Amazing presentation and we had an amazing time. 100% Recommend.

It was very private, as i was the only camper there at the time. They have a pavilion with a grill. A toilet room, outdoor sink, and a shower. It is outside so be mindful of cold weather, though they do have hot water. Fire pits, a self serve firewood station, a "Trading Post" that held different woods for smoking meats. A wonderful stay, and the host was very responsive. Thank you!

This was a great spot, conveniently close to everything but in a generally quiet neighborhood. The site was spacious and well equipped, with electric, water, sewer and an outdoor shower (though cold, but refreshing, in the middle of a sunny day).
The hot tub was nice, but by the time it got hot enough, I was sunburned and couldn’t enjoy it lol. The animals were fun to watch and the rooster was right on cue each morning. Fresh eggs in the morning were a welcomed addition and the hosts were fantastic! Thank you for opening up your land to enjoy!!

Where to go
DeFuniak Springs Surrounds
About 15 minutes east of town, the Ponce De Leon State Park allows visitors to swim in its 68°F spring waters. Morrison Springs County Park is also a great spring site for swimming and diving.
Econfina Creek Wildlife Management Area
This wildlife preserve east of DeFuniak Springs and just north of Panama City has a 14-mile stretch of the Florida Trail for hikers to explore. Birders come looking to spot bald eagles, osprey, kestrels, and warblers, while the spring-fed Econfina Creek is popular with kayak and canoe paddlers, and sites like Pitt and Sylvan Springs are accessible for swimming.
Falling Waters State Park
Forty minutes east of DeFuniak Springs, Falling Waters State Park is home to Florida’s tallest waterfall. The peaceful forested campground offers campsites with picnic tables and fire rings.
Gulf Beaches
DeFuniak is about an hour from an excellent stretch of Gulf Coast beaches with warm water and white quartz sand. Henderson Beach State Park in Destin has 30-foot sand dunes, while Grayton Beach State Park near Seaside features freshwater dune lakes and hiking trails. Both parks have campgrounds and great beaches for sunbathing. An offshore artificial reef system creates numerous opportunities for snorkelers and scuba divers to gaze at tropical fish—Destin has a variety of rental shops.
When to go
DeFuniak is a bit more seasonal than parts of Florida further south—winter low temps are in the upper forties, and summer high temps have a bit less bite and humidity. This makes for solid year-round camping, but make sure you have warm gear in winter and rain protection year-round. During hurricane season in summer and fall, Florida campers should keep an eye on the National Hurricane Center’s Atlantic Outlook to avoid any potential storms.
