While you’re there, swing into the state park to view the sparkling waters of the Homosassa head spring and meet all of the native wildlife ambassadors, including Florida panthers, black bears, endangered whooping cranes, and many other amazing animals. Interested in charter fishing, scalloping, or an ecotour? Your hosts are both professional, experienced charter captains. Avoid the crowds at the dock and step right onto the boat here! This location is close to the head springs and Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park where you can discover the wild side of Florida with endangered Florida panther, red wolf, manatee and whooping crane, plus black bear, bobcat and, of course, alligator.
The site is located 150 ft from the dock on our private residential property at the head of the springs, the dock is not visible from the site you do have to walk down to the dock area. This is a residential area and is very quiet. You can see the layout of the property in the photos from an aerial view as well as other photos of the setup.
This listing is for the SITE ONLY. Setup your own RV under the shade then enjoy our shared dock with direct access into the Homosassa springs for a refreshing dip or paddle. We provide full hookups (water, sewer, 50amp electric) for your RV as well as WIFI service and access to the docks for your boat or swimming. We have kayaks and paddleboards INCLUDED with our site or bring your own to paddle the springs and take a chance at seeing a manatee up close and personal or catching some fish. Location: This spot is a gem for outdoor enthusiasts. With the picturesque Rainbow River, Weeki Wachee Springs, and the tranquil Sunwest Park all nearby, you'll never be short of things to do. The Ocala National Forest is just a short drive away, offering endless hiking and biking trails. Don’t miss the chance to explore the unique Dames Cave or test your skills at the Croom ATV park. If you're into hunting, fishing, or kayaking, you’re in the right place!
Amenities: The RV spots here are well-equipped with full hook-ups, which is a huge plus for a comfortable stay. Note that there’s no Wi-Fi available, so make sure to bring your Hotspot if you need to stay connected. However, the lack of connectivity just adds to the charm of getting away from it all.
Proximity: Perfectly situated for those traveling south—it's a great stopping point if you're heading towards Miami or the Keys. Plus, it's close enough to Disney Orlando and Tampa if you want a day trip to the theme parks or city sights.
Stay: A minimum stay of 7 nights up to 28 days allows you to truly immerse yourself in the natural beauty and diverse activities this area has to offer. Whether you’re here for a week or almost a month, you’ll find plenty to keep you entertained and relaxed. You can message me if you want to stay less than 7 days.

About the property
Trails, waterways, and the nearby Gulf Coast offer plenty to see and do during your stay. Just 10 minutes from Crystal River, enjoy the abundant hiking, swimming, kayaking, bicycling, and horseback riding the area has to offer.
This is a working farm so expect to see horses, chickens, pigs, and our farm dog during your stay. Be sure to bring your farm shoes!
Your Hosts live onsite and are flexible to hang out and suggest activities if requested, but also happy to just show you around and then leave you to enjoy your stay in solitude.
Note that we offer three total Hipcamp sites, so you may see other travelers in common areas or in passing on the property during your stay.
About the listing
We welcome self-contained travelers in camper vans, trucks, trailers, and RVs up to 35 feet in length.
Potable water is available. We don’t have a kitchen but you are welcome to cook on the grill over the firepit. You can also spread out during meals on the provided picnic table.
Enjoy the hot outdoor shower during your stay. If you’ve never showered under the stars, this is your chance!
Campfires are allowed, and some wood is provided during your stay to get you started. Please fully extinguish fires after use, and always follow county restrictions if there is a fire ban due to dry weather.

- No WiFi is provided, but we do have good cell service onsite.
- Pets are allowed, as long as they won’t mind being around our animals.
- Feel free to dispose of your compost, recycling, and trash in the provided bins.

Weekend Trip to Cabin Glamping
Had a great time at the "cabin". Secluded enough for privacy. Very cute and homey. Colleen was a great host. Gave us full instructions on where everything was and how it works. They provided everything you needed. Just bring clothes, toiletries, and drinking water. Would definitely stay again if in the area again.

Cozy little rv spot. Being able to fish was nice (kind of hard to cast under the lights). Nice fire pit, ended up buying one for ourselves afterwards! Watch out for fire ants around the fire area though!

This spot was quick and easy for a camper. The bed was comfy, the outdoor shower was great. The tin roof made the rain loud and lovely. I enjoyed it. Not a fancy place but a kind and welcoming one was what I needed on my first day of the adventure.

Great site and great host. Kate was very responsive the entire time. We unfortunately didn’t have much time to explore all she had to offer. We wanted to kayak since her location was crystal clear, but we were scheduled up. Excited for the next time to be able to spend more time enjoying the area.

Awesome camping spot right near the water with all the amenities you need for a lovely get away! Mike and Jenny were very accommodating and respectful of space. Full hook ups. Sweet and safe neighborhood for walks. Sewer line was a little cumbersome based on the angle, but manageable. Used my Starlink; ATT service was spotty.

Hosts are super nice and helpful. Beautiful large property and longhorn steer neighbors were quiet and curious. We had the place to ourselves and great to have our dog off-leash. So generous to include laundry and kayak use. We enjoyed a paddle up Rainbow River and drinks at Swampy’s bar and grille. Enjoyed local hikes too. Our best Hipcamp stay!

2 nights at Homosassa Springs RV Site
Very nice setup. Close to the springs, restaurants and shopping if needed. Dock area is very nice. Comfy chairs and a table. The water is crystal clear so you can see all of the varieties of fish. Didn’t see any manatees at this spot as the weather is warming up. Kayaks and paddle boards are available and in good shape. The site itself is large with a nice table setup, solo fireplace and hookups. Site is level which is nice. Only met Alonda once as we pulled in but we had no issues so there was no need to bother her. The resident dog Jazzie, was friendly with my dog and she was very sweet. Excellent experience overall.

Loved every thing about this spot- serenity quiet & peaceful neighborhood, only a few steps to great paddling on the springs with a dock for our use, Homosassa River and manatees galore! Easy bike ride to Old Homasassa, close to grocery store, Walmart and great seafood market! Our host, Alonda was accessible and polite!
