This location is close to the head springs and Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park where you can discover the wild side of Florida with endangered Florida panther, red wolf, manatee and whooping crane, plus black bear, bobcat and, of course, alligator.
The site is located 150 ft from the dock on our private residential property at the head of the springs, the dock is not visible from the site you do have to walk down to the dock area. This is a residential area and is very quiet. You can see the layout of the property in the photos from an aerial view as well as other photos of the setup.
This listing is for the SITE ONLY. Setup your own RV under the shade then enjoy our shared dock into the Homosassa springs for a refreshing dip or paddle. We provide full hookups (water, sewer, 50amp electric) for your RV as well as WIFI service and access to the docks for your boat or swimming. Homosassa is also a great area to stay for Florida's Scallop Season which runs from around the end of June to end of September (check the year schedule) every year. The property is super quiet and peaceful and we loved the two mini longhorns that curiously watched over us. This is a great little campsite right in the old Homosassa area. The access to the river and up to the springs was great and it was not a very far kayak trip. The site is very well maintained even though you’re around houses it’s very private feeling everything worked great I will definitely be returning to this site.

Love this place! We enjoyed the dock so much. Paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming. We even saw a manatee. The only downside is the mosquitoes. They are pretty bad. Also, I recommend coming down Fishbowl if you’re in a larger camper. We had a very hard time getting our 40 ft 5th wheel in to the spot the way maps takes you. Coming from the opposite way is extremely helpful. Would absolutely come back!

What a gem!! Kate is an amazing host. She went out of her way, checking on us multiple times, and was super helpful. The water access is just a short walk and an easy launch. We went out multiple times and saw so much wildlife. It was so peaceful. Only call out I have is to make sure to bring mosquito spray! We will definitely be back!!

We had use of canoes and kayaks and the clubhouse had a great pool house and was fun to hang out and cool off for a bit. Very much enjoyed our stay the river is beautiful!

Mike and his wife were wonderful hosts. They were kind and hospitable. Their property is right on the water, and very peaceful. They have a lovely shaded area where we were able to enjoy meals and coffee looking out on the water. We were able to kayak out to Monkey Island with our kids and a few other scenic locations. Hunter Springs was only a short car ride away, so we were able to visit there as well.
Our stay was relaxing and memorable, we absolutely recommend this spot and would love to go back and visit the many other attractions there.
