The property is definitely different then most. The site itself is super spacious, and has great tree coverage from some ancient oaks. the site can hold up to an extra 5 tents if neened. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. Our quiet times are: weekdays at 9pm and weekends 12am. Being this is a smaller place, we only have 1 public outhouse and 1 shower. They both are first come-first served. The “clubhouse” is available by reservation only. Being there are exotic animals on site (all are caged and not visible), no pets are allowed. Courteousness will make this a very enjoyable stay. We have lived on this property securely since the early 70’s. We hold NO LIABILITY on people or acts of God.

Our camping area is surrounded by trees so you won’t even realize that you are close to everything. You are only 9 minutes (4.9 mi.) away from the Sun-N-Fun Fly In, less than that for restaurants, 6 minutes (2.3 mi.) from Walmart and Home Depot is less than a mile away too! Many denominations of churches are also within 10 minutes of camping. Walt Disney World, Busch gardens and Sea World are all approximately 45 minutes away. There are many parks, hiking and bike trails within a few minute drive. We have an outhouse (with a modern toilet), an outdoor heated shower, a cute “Clubhouse” (a converted 1950s camper) for small social gatherings and 2 community fire pits. Electricity is available at the Clubhouse for small appliances and charging electronics. There are several shared water faucets that run off our well. We hope that this is a quiet relaxing place. Our quiet times are: weekdays at 9pm and weekends 12am. Being this is a smaller place, we only have 1 public outhouse and 1 shower. They both are first come-first served. The “clubhouse” is available by reservation only. Being there are exotic animals on site (all are caged and not visible), no pets are allowed. Courteousness will make this a very enjoyable stay. We have lived on this property securely since the early 70’s. We hold NO LIABILITY on people or acts of God.

The camping was amazing. The camp sites were extremely spacious. Lots of rooms to let the kids run around and not disturb other campers. The horses walking right upto you was an awesome experience. Mike and Rob were very attentive to any needs or questions (ice, wood). We will be back!

We had a great time at Lucky U Ranch and will definitely be back! The bathrooms, showers, coffee bar, and dishwashing station were absolutely next level and set a new standard for camping. Rob and Mike also did a great job thinking of little things that made this day even more enjoyable. And of course, interacting with the animals was great fun for our whole group. We are frequent campers and brought along first timers - this was a great place to “break them in“ 🤓 We’re looking forward to our next visit!

Our stay at Lucky U Ranch was wonderful. Robe and Mike are exceptional hosts. Very welcoming, attentive, and accommodating. The property is beautiful and well-maintained, and the bathrooms were spotless. We loved all the animals on the farm, especially the free-roaming horses and donkeys. And don’t forget to bring your binoculars, the stargazing there is absolutely amazing.

Waking up to a foggy sunrise under giant trees draped with Spanish moss as the horses trotted to greet me from the horizon… it felt singularly Tolkienian. Don’t miss out on the trails! This place is magical.

Let's just start by saying the reviews are spot on, and if we could give more than 5 stars, this place would be getting them. From the very start, the hosts were very connected and went over everything. The sites are perfectly maintained, well set up, and accommodating. The bathrooms were actually clean and functioning, there was coffee and hot chocolate in the morning, and having horses and donkeys roaming around was just icing on the cake. Out of the sites we have visited (HipCamp and State Parks), this one is by far our favorite and will be on regular rotation. You will not be disappointed in any aspect here.

Stopped in while passing through. I assured James I would be there before dark. Of course I lingered too long and got there tired and in the dark. I missed the clearly obvious sign and wondered if my GPS had led me wrong. James came out to gather me in and show me to the perfect site for the night. Private, peaceful, great for what I did passing through, although I did take time for the Lake Apopka North Shore Wildlife Drive - highly recommended as well. Great place to stay.

Cool secluded spot for camping. Traveled with our 2 dogs for a quick overnight stay. The site had a fire pit and a table with chairs which was nice. There was a porta potty available close to the site. Quite & peaceful place to sleep under the stars. Host was responsive and super nice. No complaints :)

We had such a great stay! The campsite was private, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful woods — the perfect mix of comfort and nature. We even had horses wandering nearby, which made the whole experience feel extra special. The kids loved the swings, and the coffee bar was such a thoughtful touch in the mornings. The shower was super clean with great quality water — honestly one of the best we’ve had while camping! You can tell the hosts really care about the space and their guests. Can’t wait to come back!

You feel the isolation and privacy that everyone loves with camping but also have full bathrooms, showers and kitchenette if needed!
