We opened to the public on Labor Day 2014. Most people come to stay either in our rental cottage or in their horse trailers/RVs with their horses to ride the awesome trails in the 20,000+ acre adjacent Croom Forest. However, because our ranch is so peaceful, many stay here without horses just to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many opportunities to recreate in the area, including outstanding mountain and road biking, OHVing, hiking, golfing, and canoeing/kayaking. Many full-time and working RVers stay for extended periods. Note that our camping area is small and intimate, so you will be close to other campers. We have 5 30-amp hookups, and 2 50-amp hookups; if you need 50-amp service, please request it. Note that a minimum of a 2-night stay will typically be required on weekends, especially during our busy season. WiFi is available, but we call it "Country WiFi" since it sometimes can be slow and may or may not be accessible from where you are parked; also, Verizon cell service in our area is terrible. If internet access is important to you, we suggest having your own hotspot or internet service (many working RVers have Starlink). Note that GPS can be very mean in our rural area; make sure your turn off Highway 50 is onto paved High Corner Road, which is 2 miles west of I-75 (if GPS tries to turn you down unpaved, dead-end roads, DO NOT LISTEN..you will get stuck!). If you don't have your own RV, you can rent one from Ray Day's RV Rentals (229-515-7008), which is literally around the corner.

Stay by a lovely pond on 33 acre fruit and ornamental tree nursery property with great vibes. Located near I-75 just 20 miles South of Tampa, 35 miles east of Saint Petersburg, 35 miles North of Sarasota, 2 hours West of Orlando. This property is home to a farm/nursery operation and has a large pond on the west side. The pond is Spring-fed at the headwaters of Marsh Branch Creek which begins at our property and flows West about five miles in to Tampa Bay. Approximately 33 private acres allows for plenty of space between our campsites. Property is home to a farm with hundreds of fruit trees- Lychee, Mango, Starfruit, Papaya, Guava). Red Mombin, and thousands of banana plants. Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too. Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand. Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas. The nursery has plenty of trees, and some fields -the large pond is surrounded by cattails and marsh/wetlands and has fish (Bass, Tilapia, Sunfish, Catfish). Several species of wildlife have been seen on the property. We think the property is lovely, and definitely want you to enjoy your camping experience!

Our camping area is surrounded by trees, so you won’t even realize that you are close to everything. You are only 9 minutes (4.9 mi.) away from the Sun-N-Fun Fly In, 35 minutes (19 miles) away from Jeeping with Judd, much less than that for restaurants, 6 minutes (2.3 mi.) from Walmart, and Home Depot is less than a mile away too! Many denominations of churches are also within 10 minutes of camping. Walt Disney World, Busch gardens and Sea World are all approximately 45 minutes away. There are many parks, hiking trails, and bike trails within a few-minute drive. We have an outhouse (with a modern toilet), an outdoor heated shower, a cute “Clubhouse” (a converted 1950s camper) for small social gatherings, and 2 community fire pits. Electricity is available at the Clubhouse for small appliances and charging electronics. Several shared water faucets run off our well. We can handle group camping as long as you realize that the single stall outhouse and shower house are "First come first served". We hope that this is a quiet, relaxing place. Our quiet times are: weekdays at 9 pm and weekends at 12 am. Since this is a smaller place, we only have 1 public outhouse and 1 shower. They both are first come-first served. The “clubhouse” is available by reservation only. Since there are exotic animals on site (all are caged and not visible), no pets are allowed. Courteousness will make this a very enjoyable stay. We also have a small dump station for those who are staying (for an additional cash fee) We have lived on this property securely since the early 70’s without issues but we hold NO LIABILITY for people or acts of God.

Dan’s communication and directions were spot on and just what I needed for a quick work trip in Brooksville. There’s a large level field west of the driveway, and a neighbor’s mobile home closer to the main road blocks out any road noise (if there was any). If you’re a self-contained boondocker passing through or with things to do in Brooksville/Spring Hill, stop at Red Wolf Ranch. I’ll be back.

Everything went well and everything exceeded our expectations and they were amazing hosts. The atmosphere was serene, if we needed anything they were right there. The showers and the bathroom facilities were absolutely clean and they were well stocked and those are probably some of the nicest hip camp hygiene facilities I have seen at the larger campgrounds. There was a great small kitchen area. Everything was accessible to us. We had animals come through our campsite like horses and mules and visit us literally right at our camper door and they invited themselves to my dog's dog food and I absolutely love that they made themselves at home where they are at in their own natural surroundings. I hope the horses and mules were happy to greet us when they came through. We had a wonderful tour of the farm with our kids and absolutely love those animals. It was such a touch of heaven to have what seems like Noah's ark right there. Lol. They have the utmost respect for the campers needs and have things available to anticipate a camper's need even if we didn't know we needed it but it was great! I couldn't have asked for better campsite in my opinion. We had children, our service dog and three adults on the site. All five of us could have slept in the camper which I loved because there were five places for people to individually sleep. There's bunk beds in there for the kids too. Cooking needs met and you bring your food. Wifi was pure. Thank you so much.

Absolutely outstanding! It was our first family vacation and we definitely enjoyed every minute of it! We stayed in the camper with our 2 small kids and quickly realized I overpacked. There were plenty of extra blankets and fully stocked cookware. Wonderful place to camp and relax. Really enjoyed the donkeys and the horses coming to visit us at our campsite daily. The hosts are so sweet and accommodating. Gave us a ranch tour so we could visit all of the new baby, goats, turkeys, chickens etc. already planning another trip in May and bringing other friends with us. I highly recommend this hip camp

Rob and Mike’s place is the best. We love the horses and donkeys knocking at our door in the morning. Their facilities are amazing, great site locations, showers, and farm tour. I use Hipcamp quite a bit and this is one of the best Hipcamp I have ever visited!! The host of fantastic, wonderful, and kind folks. It was lovely getting to know them a little bit! The ranch itself is fantastic. There are large swaths of forest with hiking trails and the camp sites are some of the most secluded private campsites I have ever been to at a Hipcamp. The shower and bathroom and kitchen facilities are fantastic! They even provide towels, which is amazing!!:). The animals are adorable, beautiful creatures And it's wonderful to spend time with them. Rob and Mike obviously invest a lot of time, energy and love into creating a wonderful space. I will definitely be back again soon and highly highly recommend Hipcamp!!

Stayed here for 2 nights. There were other guests but you would not have known it. Although the landscape took a hit due to Florida having one of its coldest winters it was still lovely to see how nature grows with what’s thrown at it. My 2 dogs loved running around and smelling everything. I would come again! - direction to property are straight forward Apple Maps took me straight there. - host was easy to get in contact with via the app or phone number. - cell service for me was good (att) - environment was mostly quiet. You are next to a road but that doesn’t bother me. - a little hard for the dogs to get in and out on site 4. Went over to 6 and it was much easier.
