Countryside Horse Farm

Our horse farm is located in one of the most rural areas of Southern New Jersey. This land was once occupied by The Lanape Tribe. The adjacent creek was named after Chief Alloway. Artifacts of Native Americans have been found alongside this brackish water creek. This farm was for many years a dairy farm which was passed on for 3 generations until the late 80's.

Our main horse breeds are 5 Arabians followed by 2 Thoroughbreds and 2 miniature ponies. In addition to horses you will see free range rabbits, chickens and beautiful cows.

 There are many antique shops in this area which tell the rich History of Southern NJ. Cowen mall and Royal Port are my two favorites.
Another must see experience (at least once) in the area is The Cowtown Rodeo, one of the first and oldest in the country, only 14 minutes drive. 
Cool and brand new Brewery opening up soon right across the rd from Cowtown and right next to The best Cowboy outfitter.

Walking paths leading to the scenic Conowingo Creek make this private setting located in southern Lancaster County a perfect relaxing get away. A short walk will put you on the banks of ideal fishing or a refreshing dip in the beautiful waterway. Some experts claim that plopping a chair in the middle of the creek with a good book is the only way to go! Then, after an evening by the campfire and a cozy night of sleep, a short drive gives you access to the Susquehanna River where hiking and scenic overlooks abound. The area is surrounded by Amish farms and loads of country charm. Got an itch for a historic city experience? Lancaster city is a 30 minute drive north where the historic Lancaster Central Market is open Tuesday, Friday and Saturday and surrounded by lots of quaint shopping. Recently added to Camp Conowingo Extras is the "Henry Hilton" which sleeps two and is an add-on for larger groups or anyone who wants to take in the view, sleeping closer to the stars. The treehouse is on Darby's family property and tucked back into the woods. It's private & secluded!

One of the best selling points of this treehouse stay is the hot tub right on the deck outside of the tent. It was nice to sit after it got dark, have a drink & listen to the nature around us.

The bed is super comfy. The books & nightlights by the bed were a nice touch if you want to relax and read a book. 

Everything is in close proximity to the treehouse. A nice table & chairs set is next to the grill and firepit to sit down and eat a meal. 

The hosts have provided all of the cooking utensils, dishes, trash bags, towels and more.

The Keurig is such a nice touch! Well stocked with coffee. 

The recliner chairs on the deck are a great spot to sit and watch the sunrise with a cup of coffee.

Beautiful gardens were so lovely to wander through. 

The tent is so cozy and dreamy when the sun goes down. It has plenty of lights and having electric really does make this "glamping"!

The space
This tiny home has a queen size bed, a dresser, and a closet for storage. The kichenette is equipped with many untensils, pots, pans,microwaves, and many more to make a warm meal. There is a tiny bathroom with a shower, tiny sink, and toilet. The living room has a sofa, 55" TV, and a cozy electric fireplace.
The tiny home is near Millersville University. minutes away from many restaurants, bars, and malls.

Guest has access to the backyard firepit and pool. pool is open seasonal. pool opens on Memorial Day weekend and hours are from 10a-7:00p.

1797 Farm

Located in the heart of Chester County, few locations offer so many things to see and do. Some of the loveliest creations of man or nature are nearby The cottage is on a 70 acre country estate (circa. 1797). See Longwood Gardins and many other world famous nearby places. Learn more about this land:Chester County was rated as the sixth most desirable County&nbsp; to raise a family in the United States. Relax, there are no animals that want to eat you nor poisonous creatures to kill you. Bird watcher's heaven where John Audubon was inspired by rolling hills and friendly forests containing walking trails and babbling brooks. Moss, ferns, mushrooms, and a huge variety of tree species make their home here. The weather is temperate and mostly sunny and there are dozens of things to see made by man or nature, all within less than an hours drive. Many stores and locations of interest are within bicycle distance. History & Art abound and world famous Longwood Gardens is nearby. Notable industrialists&nbsp; like Sun oil&nbsp; , Ludens, Carnation, Dodge and Safeguard are just a few who made this their home. The farm cottage is surrounded by over 2000 acres containing walking paths and horse trails, and even an Indian chipping ground where flint arrow heads and other Indian implements were made.

Scenic Turtle Ridge

Turtle Ridge farm is 35 acres of scenic beauty in historic Chester County, Pennsylvania. Secluded and private. Hiking and fishing available. Turtle Ridge Farms borders the Brandywine River and about 1,000 acres of  woodland park. We try to be a unique host farm experience.
We will have contactless check in available upon arrival. Campers will fill out the registration form on the front porch and then go to their site.
A note about fishing. Fishing is available in the Brandywine River behind our farm, in Hibernia Park, at Springton Manor catch and release pond, and also at Chambers Lake in the park. 
35-acre bucolic farm with goats, sheep, chickens and geese. Sites are near our one acre pond and each site has a fire pit. Our farm borders the 1,000-acre Hibernia Park with its historic mansion, extensive woodlands, hiking trails and along the beautiful Brandywine river. Lots of wooded areas, trails, rock outcroppings and beautiful scenery. The entrance to the park is through our farm gate near Site 2 and then down a trail.
There is an indoor powder room with flushing toilet and sink for campers to use and a small camp shop. Wood is available for purchase. We are located 
5 minutes from the hospital, 10 minutes from grocery stores, 30 minutes to Amish country and Longwood Gardens. Hopewell Furnace, St. Peter's village, Daniel Boone homestead, Historic Springton Manor, Marsh Creek Park and lake are all nearby.

We purchased our dream homestead in 2020, and we would love to share it with others as we build it to become bountiful and as self-sustaining as possible.

 It is not in the middle of nowhere....it's in the middle of everywhere!

Camp next to a peaceful trickling creek just outside Phoenixville and Kimberton. We are a suburban oasis, surrounded by a little bit of everything.&nbsp;&nbsp;Our homestead has plenty of activity including kids, dogs, and chickens, bees and goats!  We have a fully wooded area available to explore across the creek, and weather dependent- the creek is a great place to stay cool. You'll see lots of growing fruit trees in our developing orchard and we are happy to share our vision for this beautiful land! 

We have two campsites available for you to choose between for your stay. Both sites are along the creek, however, one has a view of some nearby houses and is a short walk to the parking spot [Creekside]. The other site is more secluded,  past the tree line, but a further walk from where you are able to park. [Hillside] If needed, we are happy to lend you a wagon to haul your gear. Please let us know if you have questions and your preference of site. 

 

We have a cabin-like bathroom and partial kitchen you will have access to during your stay. We always have cold water available for purchase in the fridge. There is trail access easily accessible from our home (the closest is approximately 1 mile), for paved or natural trail exploration. We are are a great stopping point for cyclists enjoying the area. 

It's a short drive to downtown Phoenixville with some of the best breweries around. Phoenixville is home to a great farmers market on Saturday mornings and numerous festivals.  Also, close-by is the lovely quaint village of Kimberton, home of the best organic grocery store and many opportunities for hiking and small farms.

You have access to the poolhouse for the bathroom and kitchenette (you do NOT have access to the pool)

Creekside Grill

Enjoy the 8 acres of Stillwater behind  the Olde Motonville Mill. Swimming tubing fishing and boating night or day is always adventurous. Bring your own boats or used two of ours. Beer garden with free entry live music and food trucks every Sunday at our main park. Brothers Kershner brewery hosts Brothers on the Brandywine. Sundays 1 to 7pm
