This was our second time camping here, and it was again wonderful. Jo was incredibly accomodating as we navigated getting out of the city, and the a-frame is so cozy! We also loved the (brand new) outdoor showers. On the rainy day we checked out nearby restaurants and Berkshire towns - especially recommend Great Barrington. We'll definitely be back!

Joanna’s sites are beautifully and thoughtfully laid out. The airstream was comfortable and fun to sleep in. Joanna was communicative and helpful. We saw turtles in the pond, a barred owl, lotsa birds and deer walked by too.

After a must needed retreat this was the place. Bert and Nancy are the sweetest couple. Upon welcoming Nancy and I met with a warm hug she greeted me, which felt like family. My heart ❤️ goes to this beautiful property. My eyes were in just such gratitude seeing this land. This is a great taste of New England too for 🐟 Nancy and Bert are so kind and generous ☂️multiple things they have already prepared son you can pack less. Bug spray, dishes, soap 🧼. This was my second trip to Uppershire. It’s a wonderful piece of property with amazing hosts Barb and Joanna. Each site is curated carefully and the amenities keep being added. Last year a hot outdoor shower and this year a new log cabin for a glamping experience. Although I am a squaredrop camper (think queen bed on wheels) I really appreciate the serene land coupled with the amazing hosts, and cute town ta boot.

I don't usually pay as much as I did for a dry site, and before I got there I had some misgivings about the cost, however once I arrived, settled in and got to meet Jesse and some of the staff and learn about the camp and their mission as well as explored the offerings in the area, I had no regrets. Staff was extremely welcoming. The site itself is basic. I have a 14 ft trailer, about 8 ft wide & it fit in well between two trees and required no leveling. A larger rig would fit, however I can't say if it would be level for you and might be a tight fit. The camp road does pass directly in front of the site. The camp was not open, however maintenance staff did begin to arrive & there was traffic during the day. Therefore, depending upon the time you're here, there could be much more activity. However, if you enjoy hiking, biking or paddling, you won't be there much, so it will not matter! You can walk across the street and hike the Natchaug Reservation, where there are miles of beautiful trails! Just a couple of miles down the road there is Mansfield Hollow State Park and dam, which has AMAZING hiking trails, a beautiful 500 acre lake and paved trails to the dam should you prefer that type of stroll. The area is absolutely beautiful! The campsite was extremely quiet at night. You will hear light traffic noise during the day, however at night it disappears. If you are a tent camper, the lean-to site is awesome! It's set up on the hill in the back, private and just a great site.

My and my dog had a great stay at the Berry Patch campsite. The platform was perfect and the awning frame was great considering the weather during my stay. There was a rain forecast and the awning was perfect for my camping tarp. The surrounding area was great as well including the open field and various trails close by. My booking was out of season but David was very accommodating. I highly recommend this campsite. Thanks David!

We loved the lean-to site. Lean-tos were clean and dry. The site has 2 picnic tables, a big fire ring, more than enough firewood and even a trash can, which was very convenient. We checked out the grounds and did a nice loop hike at Wolf Rock nearby. Jesse was very responsive, directions were clear and we will defintely come back if we have the chance.

Pleasant, attentive, detailed hosts! Nancy made sure we are comfortable and showed us everything. She was so prepared, staying at her tree house is like staying in five stars hotel! This was our second time staying at the Hiker's Haven. It was very peaceful and relaxing. We had a lovely little fire in the fire pit. The trails are well maintained. It all made for a very rejuvenating stay. We do hope to stay again in the future, maybe it will become a yearly tradition.

This was my first time using Hipcamp, and it was a great experience. Jesse, our host, was quick to respond and easy to communicate with. The site was exactly as described and shown in the photos. I stayed at the amphitheater location, which worked perfectly for my van camping setup. The surroundings were quiet and peaceful. I’d happily stay here again.

We have one camper site available, located on the edge of our 40 acres of protected land. Your site is on the old farm road near open, farmed fields, behind a well settled neighborhood near downtown. It is out of site of the main road and most neighbors, but still close to all the amenities in town. Half the acreage is flat, tillable land currently farmed by local farmers. The rest is pasture and woodland located on the hillside, abutting state park land which is part of Mount Sugarloaf Reservation. The view of the mountains and open farmland is beautiful at any time of year and the hillside pasture is a great place to watch the sun set over the valley below. It is the perfect site if you want a quiet, peaceful place to relax without going too far from civilization. Since it is an in-town location, it is easy to get to, close to I-91 and Routes 5&10. We are centrally located between Northampton, Amherst and Greenfield, which are all a short ride away, along with all the restaurants and attractions they have available. There are plenty of places nearby to walk, hike, bike, fish, kayak and swim so you can take full advantage of all the region has to offer.
