The meadow we occupy was once the farmers property that I grew up next to at my parents farm house. When he wanted to sell his property he offered it to us for purchase at a fair price if we would not develop more than we needed to live here. We maintained the meadow adjacent to our property and have kept it as an agricultural site. We have had our son develop an edible forest garden and a unique diversified small orchard so we can eat and share healthy organic fruits and vegetables while helping our environment and wildlife and educating others to do the same. It is expensive to live in Newtown but we love our property. We want to teach others to grow food from their land while helping to support us keeping our adjacent property agricultural and undeveloped. It has a full size bed, cabinet and table with chairs. It sits next to a brook on 56 acres of forest with a pond, small waterfall, marsh and 2 1/2 miles of hiking trails. Come stay on our working farm! Relax and enjoy all that our farm has to offer. You can enjoy nature and privacy or opt for a more interactive experience and join our morning or evening farm tour where you can interact with goats, sheep, mini-horses, pigs, chickens, ducks, and more. We are a small family farm where we raise animals and grow flowers/food. Our family home was built in 1739 and is situated near the street entrance. As you enter the property, you will see two cottages, the oldest corn crib in the county, and a beautifully restored 1800s barn. There is a vintage-style camper to the left of the barn, located in an area where you can have privacy overlooking the pastures. We live on the property and can assist guests with anything that they might need. Guests are welcome to stroll around the property and enjoy all it has to offer. We have a farm store and education center opening summer of 2025! Check our website to see classes and offerings that you might take advantage of during your stay. Please note, that we ask that guests do not enter the barn or fenced pasture without one of the farm owners (Molly & Diego). Our animals are accustomed to people, but livestock is unpredictable, especially to people that they do not know. There is plenty of area outside of the pasture that guests can enjoy. If you opt for a farm tour we promise that you will have plenty of interaction with our many animals.

When we arrived there was goat yoga happening and we were fortunate enough to cuddle with baby goats! Absolutely incredible stay .. can’t wait to come back!

The underbrush was quite thick in places which was fine for me because I was in a camper/trailer, but I imagine would be a bit uncomfortable if sleeping in a tent. We were just passing through and the site met all of our needs for the night!

Perfect if you just want to get away for an easy weekend away. Plenty of stuff to do within 10 minutes of the site, my friend and I spent the better part of the weekend fishing. The provided fire pit and chairs are nice, plenty of wood around the property to make a fire, and it was cozy and comfortable. The site could be cleaned up of some of the less desirable vegetation (lots of thorny vines and plants) but other than that I have no complaints.

Amy and Bill were amiable hosts, communicative and cheerful. We enjoyed our two night stay, and their farm animals were so sweet and curious. Ample accommodation with room to stretch out by firelight, and create multi course meals easily with my camp kitchen crate and a cooler, both by grill and over the wood fire with the grate. It was a warm weekend and the sink with cold, potable water was so nice to have within a few steps from the site for refilling water containers and doing dishes. We’d happily return to this sweet, quiet spot. What a gem!

We parked our Class B RV on the very large spot. Pleased to have 30 amp hook-up and access to water. It looks like sewer will be available soon. Really enjoyed the quiet that isn’t usually found in a campground. Would recommend this spot and will return if we’re in the area again.

Weekend Trip to Mickelberry Forest Gardens

The Meadow's Edge was a peaceful space that felt just private enough even though it was close to the main house. The cutest chickens and ducks wandered the field, and there were also two goats and tortoises. The site is a short walk from where the car is parked and you'll have to carry in your items. But it's nice to see the animals on the way to/from the car. There is a firepit, chairs, wooden picnic table, and bbq grill on site. Potable well water available at an outdoor sink. Firewood available for $10. Big Y and Caraluzzi supermarkets are both 10 minutes away. Our group had an amazing time and saw beautiful stars at night. Amy and Bill were terrific hosts and easy to communicate with! Highly recommend staying camping here.

Weekend Trip to Wee Three Farm

I had a wonderful stay at this private site. Max met me at the site when I arrived to chat for a little bit. He left a pile a branches and brush with a wheelbarrow to use for fires. This site is located in the hayfields on beautiful farmland, it offered plenty of privacy and a peaceful setting. The site included a fire pit and picnic table, making it easy to relax and enjoy the outdoors. It was absolutely perfect for my dogs—they loved being able to safely explore the fields off leash. If you’re looking for a quiet, rural getaway with lots of open space, I highly recommend this site. I enjoyed my stay so much that I’ve already booked another visit for August!
