There are easy trails on property along the lush stream (the original riverbed of the Middle Saint Vrain Stream), fishing or swimming in the pond (no lifeguard on duty), or challenging trails into Roosevelt National Forest from the property. (Ask Hiker Dot for guidance.) Several National Forest access points, where you can enjoy peaceful walks away from crowds, are a short drive.

Bliss Canyon is a spur off of breathtaking, picturesque South Saint Vrain Canyon. Stroll on over to the South or Middle for renowned fly fishing. For climbers, there are over 50 climbs in South Saint Vrain Canyon!
Dark Skies:
If you like to watch the stars and meteor showers, Bliss Canyon is blessed with dark skies with little light from the plains. Bring your telescopes and explore the Universe.
Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the five Crown Jewels of the National Park Service, is nearby. The closest trailhead in RMNP is 10 miles, the next trailhead at Wild Basin entrance to the park is 13 miles, and the Beaver Meadows entrance (main entrance) is 36 miles. Rocky Mountain National Park has breathtaking drives, easy strolls with interpretive signs, and 360 miles of trails. (Advance reservation required for entry 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for main park, or 5:00 am to 6:00 pm for Bear Lake corridor.)
Indian Peaks Wilderness also has several nearby access points and trailheads. Ask Dot for details.
The charming town of Lyons is 20 minutes away with coffee shops, restaurants, bars, lots of great live music, and quaint shops. Also, Spirit Hound Distillery received the award for the #1, Best Whiskey in the World in 2022, hmmm, it might be worth a tasting!
Due to our popularity reservations often fill up quickly. We suggest you make your reservations in advance especially if you have a group to rent the entire camp. At times there are last minute cancelations which allows for last minute openings.

We provide a portable toilet with WagBags. Please always pack out all human solid human waste. Gold Hill Store offers a toilet for a minimal fee and the Gold Hill Inn has a toilet for customers. A camp stove is available for outdoor use. The camp stove and the propane heater both use 1 lb propane canisters, so feel free to bring your own fuel to cook and keep you warm. A can of propane is always available for your use of the stove.
* A note to novice campers and regular hotel patrons: Though you are in a shelter, you are still exposed to the elements. The treehouse is not insulated. Wind, bugs, and critters may all be a part of the variable treehouse experience mother nature has planned for you. If you are not comfortable camping, getting dirty, swatting flies, being too hot, being too cold, hearing the noises of animals at night, waking up to the sound of magpies, and who knows what else, this experience may not be for you.

Don’t worry about rv parks, dump stations, and utilities. It’s all taken care of for you, nestled on a custom dug terrace overlooking my private canyon. Sunrises and sunsets are a dream!

This is an off grid property, with all the amenities you need. There is no cell service, but I have you covered. Starlink satellite is on site, and gives you super fast, high speed connection.
Enjoy 20 acres of wildflowers, quiet nights, and stunning canyon views. Unfortunately, due to high fire danger in our area, fires are not currently allowed.
The RV is fully equipped for comfort, with a brand new detached dual fuel generator. It has a queen size bed, two bunk beds, and a convertible dining table that makes into another full sized bed. Sleep 5 in comfort.
Adventure nearby: fish the Poudre River (10 minutes) or catch live music at Mishawaka Amphitheater (20 minutes).

Kings Canton is tucked away. I have spent 8 years rebuilding the road for access by most vehicles. Four wheel drive is recommended just in case, but not necessary. The private road has loose gravel in spots. Most SUVs can access. I have had my Ford Focus and my Toyota Prius up there (although some people say I’m crazy).
I don’t recommend kings canyon for anyone with fear of heights! The roads are safe, but there are steep drops and switchbacks.
Explore my property and witness hummingbird migrations. They fly here from Mexico.

Chas's property is incredible! We've stayed 3 times so far and cant wait to come back. Chas and Gail are extremely hospitable and the cabin is exactly how it's described online. Highly reccomend setting an alarm to wake up early in the morning for great stargazing!

Absolutely top notch stay at South Crow Cabin. Chas was easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed. If you need a little more space their other property, the Full Moon Cabin, is a great choice. Both are highly recommended!

The cabin had pretty views from bed, a lovely heater (very thankful for this! Kept us warm even in 30 deg and snowing outside) and was a close drive to state parks! The hosts met us at arrival and were very kind and helpful. Two people and one dog felt tight in the cabin but made for more bonding time. Would recommend!!

I am already looking forward to booking again. Chaz met me at the site and showed me the ropes. He was very hospitable while respecting our privacy. The cabin was warm and cozy on a very cold and windy night. The site is serene and full of wild life and beautiful rock formations. The double bed was comfortable and our night was quiet and restful. This place is a true gem.

The Blue Bear cabin was absolutely gorgeous!! The wood burning stove (with wood chopped to the perfect size by the lad, shout out him) made the cabin so warm! The outhouse was super clean and very convenient. The view from the cabin is absolutely stunning and the quiet of the mountains is wonderful. Thank you so much for hosting us! We can’t wait to come again!

Weekend Trip to Last Chance Camp, Cheyenne
We stayed in the horse trailer! It was very cute, quiet and warm! Christine was very nice and welcoming and let us shower inside! The outdoor kitchen was amazing even with it being out of season. Id definitely recommend this for a stop! The animals were also very fun to pet and play with. Will definitely come back again!

This was truly the perfect little getaway from Denver! You have everything you need in this cozy and spacious spot!
I spent two nights up here by myself. Spent the day hiking Brainard Lake, then getting cozy by the outdoor and indoor fireplace. My last morning here, I woke up to a Winter Wonderland! Wow! I would have stayed an extra night, but sadly it was already booked. I will definitely be back again soon! 🤩

This land is beautiful, the lodge even better. But what made it all worth it was the reassurance that everything was going to work out. I had constant communication with Cesar as we had been travelling 18 hrs from Houston Texas. They made everything easy, asking questions and being patient. The lodge was stocked with necessities and even provided a grill, propane, a boot brush and even more two sources of heat. We were able to chop our own wood as well as purchase them from Cesar. It was all worth the drive and made my husband's and I anniversary exciting.
