Gondola Village at Holy Cross is at 11.5k feet above sea level (believed to be the highest altitude Hipcamp in the world). Gondola Village at Holy Cross has been featured on Discovery Channel’s Reclaimed, Airbnb's OMG! Fund, Arch Digest, and the site of many product shoots. The managers of this property have worked in yurt, ADU, and cabin construction and hospitality for many years and have brought together some of the best Scandinavian and modern design with a mining town aesthetic.
The trip up can be challenging (only off-road, winch / locker equipped vehicles dare try the 759 Holy Cross City jeep road, others will need to hike in at least 2.5 miles), but the views and cabins are well worth the trek. Snow free season tends to be June 15 an October 30 annually, and outside of this guests should be prepared for up to 11 miles of over-snow travel with no cars allowed (a bit less depending on snow coverage in the shoulder seasons from May 21 - early June and late October - November 21)

The lodge is basically a triplex building with a common area and three condos within.
Bill’s cabin is our fourth lodging option that sits out on our Ridge about a half mile from the lodge building. Bill‘s cabin is off grid and has an out house. It also requires all wheel drive.
The common area, houses the sauna, games, washer and dryer, and it’s just basically extra room to spread out.
It also includes Wi-Fi and a refrigerator, for bills cabin guests to use.
The lodge can be rented as one unit to sleep up to 10 guests.

Bill’s cabin has a primitive road to it and therefore some foresight is required for travel, a 4x4 vehicle is required in any seasonal weather. We recommend a conversation about your means of travel. Alternative methods such as Bike or hike, we just highly recommend that no one hikes at night.
Bills cabin is built out of concrete including the "log" siding. The power comes from solar panels and propane to cook and heat. Your kitchen and bathroom include instant hot water and are just outside the door..enjoy an alfresco shower out side!
Alternatively the lodge office guest bathroom/shower is also provided for Bill’s Cabin Guests.

Come experience the Old West as it was and still is as you meander along the road through working ranches that were homesteaded back in the early 1900’s...their weathered log cabins still standing and often still occupied...others are close enough for a great “back in time” photo opportunity. As Colorado's open range law permits ranchers to graze their cattle without borders, you will often find them on the roadways or you may even get caught up in a cattle drive as the ranchers move their cattle from one pasture or paddock to another. Springtime brings all the calves and branding time! Observing the rancher, his horse, and dog working together is a genuine treat. Look along the roadside for sage grouse, in the open fields for pronghorn, down in the willows and streams for the bull moose, in the trees for the mule deer, and on top of the ridge lines for the elk. There are also bald eagle and osprey nests, alpacas, horses, sheep, and goats. All this just on the ride into Williams Fork Lodging!
Our residence sits above this scenic panorama at the end of the road and adjacent to public lands tucked beneath Copper Peak on the Williams Fork Range. The elevation is roughly 8,500 feet and the 180 degree view is breathtaking...encompassing three mountain ranges, many peaks, pastures/meadows, forest, and ponds.
Soak in everything from the glorious sunrises to enchanting full moons to brilliant stars that truly seem closer than they are…the view of the Milky Way is unobstructed by light pollution for outstanding celestial shows…and meteor showers are spectacular from the hot tub!
We live on the same property as the Lodge and are quite self sustainable: hunting, fishing, gardening, gathering wild berries, and raising our own poultry meat.
The Lodge and cabin are constructed of concrete and rock as well as high efficiency windows and takes full advantage of passive solar heat; backup heat and the hot water are provided by wood via an outside boiler maintained by us. if interested, Dale offers fresh baked caramel rolls and other enticing breads and/or meals.

❄ Winter Vehicle Access Disclaimer
Tennessee Creek Road typically becomes impassable to wheeled vehicles between Halloween and Thanksgiving and generally remains closed until Memorial Day. Depending on snowfall, this may occur earlier or later in the season.
During times when the road is snow-covered and impassable, guests may access the cabin only by snowshoe, backcountry skis, or snowmobile. A public parking lot, which is plowed and maintained throughout the winter, is available for guest parking before using these alternative methods of access.
🛷 Trail Conditions: About a 2-mile stretch of Tennessee Creek Road is groomed during winter for skiing and snowmobiling up to Forest Road 103. Beyond that point, the road is ungroomed and may have deep powder or snow drifts, making travel more challenging.
🚰 Water: Running water is not available during the winter months, as water storage is winterized. Guests must either bring their own water or melt snow.

The lodge is basically a triplex building with a common area and three condos within.
Bill’s cabin is our fourth lodging option that sits out on our Ridge about a half mile from the lodge building. Bill‘s cabin is off grid and has an out house. It also requires all wheel drive.
The common area, houses the sauna, games, washer and dryer, and it’s just basically extra room to spread out.
It also includes Wi-Fi and a refrigerator, for bills cabin guests to use.
The lodge can be rented as one unit to sleep up to 10 guests.

Bill’s cabin has a primitive road to it and therefore some foresight is required for travel, a 4x4 vehicle is required in any seasonal weather. We recommend a conversation about your means of travel. Alternative methods such as Bike or hike, we just highly recommend that no one hikes at night.
Bills cabin is built out of concrete including the "log" siding. The power comes from solar panels and propane to cook and heat. Your kitchen and bathroom include instant hot water and are just outside the door..enjoy an alfresco shower out side!
Alternatively the lodge office guest bathroom/shower is also provided for Bill’s Cabin Guests.

Come experience the Old West as it was and still is as you meander along the road through working ranches that were homesteaded back in the early 1900’s...their weathered log cabins still standing and often still occupied...others are close enough for a great “back in time” photo opportunity. As Colorado's open range law permits ranchers to graze their cattle without borders, you will often find them on the roadways or you may even get caught up in a cattle drive as the ranchers move their cattle from one pasture or paddock to another. Springtime brings all the calves and branding time! Observing the rancher, his horse, and dog working together is a genuine treat. Look along the roadside for sage grouse, in the open fields for pronghorn, down in the willows and streams for the bull moose, in the trees for the mule deer, and on top of the ridge lines for the elk. There are also bald eagle and osprey nests, alpacas, horses, sheep, and goats. All this just on the ride into Williams Fork Lodging!
Our residence sits above this scenic panorama at the end of the road and adjacent to public lands tucked beneath Copper Peak on the Williams Fork Range. The elevation is roughly 8,500 feet and the 180 degree view is breathtaking...encompassing three mountain ranges, many peaks, pastures/meadows, forest, and ponds.
Soak in everything from the glorious sunrises to enchanting full moons to brilliant stars that truly seem closer than they are…the view of the Milky Way is unobstructed by light pollution for outstanding celestial shows…and meteor showers are spectacular from the hot tub!
We live on the same property as the Lodge and are quite self sustainable: hunting, fishing, gardening, gathering wild berries, and raising our own poultry meat.
The Lodge and cabin are constructed of concrete and rock as well as high efficiency windows and takes full advantage of passive solar heat; backup heat and the hot water are provided by wood via an outside boiler maintained by us. if interested, Dale offers fresh baked caramel rolls and other enticing breads and/or meals.

Tennessee Creek Road typically becomes impassable to wheeled vehicles between Halloween and Thanksgiving and generally remains closed until Memorial Day. Depending on snowfall, this may occur earlier or later in the season.
During times when the road is snow-covered and impassable, guests may access the cabin only by snowshoe, backcountry skis, or snowmobile. A public parking lot, which is plowed and maintained throughout the winter, is available for guest parking before using these alternative methods of access.
🛷 Trail Conditions: About a 2-mile stretch of Tennessee Creek Road is groomed during winter for skiing and snowmobiling up to Forest Road 103. Beyond that point, the road is ungroomed and may have deep powder or snow drifts, making travel more challenging.
🚰 Water: Running water is not available during the winter months, as water storage is winterized. Guests must either bring their own water or melt snow.

This is upgraded glamping that includes electricity(almost always), WiFI(almost always), cabin, hot tub, stream, steam room and 2BR/2Ba with large deck and acres to explore along the stream. Full kitchen minus a dishwasher and microwave. Sorry, no condos nearby or parking garages or Tshirt shops. No TV!!!
Trash and Food must be kept ONLY in cabin or "bear proof" trash can and always in SEALED trash bags and never left in car.

I’m so glad I read these reviews and booked my stay. I stayed in Laura with my fiancé and dog. We had everything we needed for our stay, especially our pupper. She had food bowls, a bed, and they even covered the couch which she enjoyed. Before booking I read reviews of people extending their stay and I can see why now. Such an awesome little cabin. What a wonderful visit to the sweetest Cabin imaginable. Hartsell is a darling little town with lots to do within a short drive… Hot Springs, a drive-in, movie theater, great restaurants and outdoor activities. The house was exactly as pictured with wood for the fireplace, a well stocked kitchen, a cozy bed, plenty of extra blankets and pillows, and absolutely stunning views. We had an incredible time and would go back in a heartbeat!

We had a lovely (but challenging, carrying a toddler) hike up and stay at Cabin #2. The cabin was quaint, clean and more well-appointed than expected (I guess we didn't need to pack a hatchet?). It was hovering around freezing when we arrived, but we got the stove lit and got the space up into the 50s for a comfortable night. Sunrise was lovely from bed and we finished our trip with a hike up to the lake in the morning before descending to the car.

This home was the coziest and most relaxing place to stay ever!!! 🥰Such happy and warm vibes all around even staying on a 40 degree weekend!!! The wood burning stove was so amazing and kept the house so warm! There was even firewood available!!! 😇I brought my own but it was awesome there was some extra! Me and my girlfriend cooked some delicious meals in the adorable, spacious, and well stocked kitchen! It was the most amazing birthday getaway and my girlfriend was so pleased as well! Thank you Lauren for hosting such a wonderful and beautiful home to the Hipcamp/ Airbnb community ☺️ we will 100% be back!!! Our little chiweenie, Mabel absolutely loved the home too! Little Buffalo Cabin was so cute and cozy and perfect for a weekend away. It was clean and well-appointed, with great amenities and amazing views. Plenty of space for our kiddos and dog to run around outside and say hi to the horses, walking distance to the general store and to some of the best pizza, and stocked up with wood for the stove (which we didn’t need to use). We had a great stay!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this property! It was the perfect spot for a getaway with my pups. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and immaculately maintained, and the cabin itself is both charming and full of fun activities. We were lucky enough to have plenty of hummingbird visitors during our stay, and even had a massive bull moose stop by on our last night. T was an incredible host and made sure we had everything we needed. This will definitely be our go-to place to stay whenever we’re in the area!

We loved the back patio, the hot tub, the hillside deck, and the property and views so much. We stayed in the Williams Peak condo and it was perfect for the two of us on our honeymoon. We got to spend six nights there and felt very refreshed and had a wonderful time with the comfort of Dale‘s property as well as the relative isolation in middle Park versus the other areas of Colorado. Dale is a wonderful human being and both of us enjoyed our interactions with her very much. You have to absolutely get some of the cinnamon rolls, If you stay here, they are literally a little piece of Heaven. We have already discussed trying to come back here annually for a retreat and a time to reconnect in our marriage. The pictures on any of the websites just simply can’t do it justice. It is an amazing place.
