We arrived at the house which is really run-down and nothing like the charming pictures. We immediately smelled cigarette smoke. My partner is allergic so we had to pack up the car and head back home. The owner denied the smell and was unwilling to give us a refund. Obviously the condition of the place and the smoke smell were not disclosed so we feel a refund is justified. Highly advise against booking this place.

This home was the coziest and most relaxing place to stay ever!!! 🥰Such happy and warm vibes all around even staying on a 40 degree weekend!!! The wood burning stove was so amazing and kept the house so warm! There was even firewood available!!! 😇I brought my own but it was awesome there was some extra! Me and my girlfriend cooked some delicious meals in the adorable, spacious, and well stocked kitchen! It was the most amazing birthday getaway and my girlfriend was so pleased as well! Thank you Lauren for hosting such a wonderful and beautiful home to the Hipcamp/ Airbnb community ☺️ we will 100% be back!!! Our little chiweenie, Mabel absolutely loved the home too! She felt right at home and loved to explore the front yard and sit on the cute back porch and sunbathe. Mabel will want to return for another trip as well 🥰🐾💜

Overall great experience! House is very cute/ cozy and easy to access from I-70. Once we got the fire going inside, it was very warm; firewood/lighter fluid was provided. Was pet friendly and the town very quaint. Already planning another longer visit!

The location was mixed close to hiking activities which was good but too close to the interstate. Could hear traffic pass by all night long. Could not find matches to start a fire in the wood stove. If a fire restriction prevented the use of the stove would be helpful to know in advance. Did not see a furnace only a water heater. Outside temps dropped down to 35F so it was chilly inside the house.

Second time staying at this adorable spot in Silver Plume! Clean, cozy and quaint in a beautiful little town. Really convenient to 70 for our cross country trek, and perfect that it was also dog-friendly. Totally seamless check in and check out.

Staying at Lauren's little Victorian-style house in Silver Plume was a perfect stop on our cross-country trip! The house is clean, cozy and convenient, with a comfy bed (two, actually, but we only slept in one), laundry, TV, and a full kitchen. We chatted with Lauren's partner, who was very warm. Silver Plume is a tiny and beautiful town. We enjoyed walking around and everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming. We got some great sandwiches at an excellent local spot called Silver Plume Provisions. Lauren's place, and the town in general, were both dog-friendly, which was important to us. All in all an excellent stay and we will be returning!

My mom and I had a wonderful day at the 420 house! So cute and clean. Just what we wanted. Walking to the coffee shop bar was quick! Host left cookies and was quick to reply. I definitely recommend!

We had a great time staying here! Lauren was super helpful and friendly, the house is cozy, charactered, and well stocked, and we had fun exploring Silver Plume and the trails nearby. We'll definitely be back!

We loved staying at 420 SilverPlume, it was decorated so beautifully, was super charming and felt like home away from home with all the amenities. There was a fridge, stove, microwave and a ton of cooking utensils - also a washer and dryer and bathroom amenities. The place was super clean and comfortable!
We loved that it was super close to I-70 which gave us quick access to hikes near by and the town of Silver Plume is so historic and charming! We found ourselves at the local coffee shop more than once! Or just hanging out at the creek near by or taking in the views from the patio!
When driving to the house you will see the numbers on the house are "420" and it stands out as a green and purple house. This is a perfect hidden gem close to many adventures!
