Stroll on over to the South or Middle for renowned fly fishing. For climbers, there are over 50 climbs in South Saint Vrain Canyon! Dark Skies: If you like to watch the stars and meteor showers, Bliss Canyon is blessed with dark skies with little light from the plains. Bring your telescopes and explore the Universe. Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the five Crown Jewels of the National Park Service, is nearby. The closest trailhead in RMNP is 10 miles, the next trailhead at Wild Basin entrance to the park is 13 miles, and the Beaver Meadows entrance (main entrance) is 36 miles. Rocky Mountain National Park has breathtaking drives, easy strolls with interpretive signs, and 360 miles of trails. (Advance reservation required for entry 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for main park, or 5:00 am to 6:00 pm for Bear Lake corridor.) Indian Peaks Wilderness also has several nearby access points and trailheads. Weekend Trip to Hart Family Farm

We had such a wonderful greeting from Sara’s grazing sheep, her dog Yogi and her cat Salty. It took only minutes for my son to join her daughter on the family’s swing-set. We had intended to “glamp” somewhere close to Estes Park, and the Burro fit the bill! The tiny space heater made the camper cozy on the cold nights, and we had access to her walk-in basement restroom and shower (even if we opted not to shower because we like to “rough it” on camping trips). After a day of hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, my 8-year-old could not wait to “get back to the farm”, and spend time with all the animals. Sara’s daughter Rose even treated my son to a riding lesson on a pony for a very reasonable price. We also enjoyed the nearby creek just at the back of her property and an excellent recommendation to a nearby park. Additional perk is that my little loved to pet the animals in the morning while I was getting breakfast or dinner ready. Always something to do at this beautiful location!

Weekend Trip to Hart Family Farm

Staying at Burro on Sara’s property was amazing. Having opportunity for shower in the house and staying in the privacy of the backyard was a great combination for my wife and me. Camper was clean, just enough for two of us on a great location. Close to the main road, yet secluded. Short drive to the restaurants, grocery shops, coffee shops, bakery and trails. Sara was a great host and we would stay at her place again anytime. Excellent communication.

We really enjoyed our stay at Counterpath. The neighborhood was very cute and my husband and I took several walks. There is a coffee shop, breakfast place and a restaurant (I think it was South American cuisine...we did not have an opportunity to eat there, but it looked interesting!) within a couple of blocks. We picked zucchini and apples from the garden and enjoyed them. The location has a food pantry weekly, but it did not interfere with any of our plans. I never met Tim in person, but he was good at communicating via text/hipcamp messaging. I would stay there again.

We really enjoyed our time at Dot & Byron’s camp! The property is so beautiful and fun to explore and we had a blast playing the yard games. We had planned to go hiking and eat in town but enjoyed being there so much we just spent the whole day hanging out at the camp. The tent is very comfy and the outdoor kitchen is really cool! The camp had everything we needed. Dot & Byron are very friendly and kind and have lots of local recs for hiking, food and fun. We’d love to return with our kids someday. Definitely a special spot.

You can plan on a spotless , fully stocked , and easy to access glamping site . It says hot shower available & it's true , a HOT shower right in the wilderness ! Beautiful trails right on property and don't miss the soaking ponds ...they are a treasure ! Check in and out is a breeze . Dot & Byron are the most gracious and welcoming hosts . They accommodated us with all we needed and made us feel so welcomed . They have truly loved this property into being and you can tell. We will definitely return !

2 nights at Hart Family Farm

I loved the location and landscape views I had while camping at Sara's. It was private but there were other people and animals around. I made friends with a handsome orange kitty while there and love watching the chickens free ranging around the grounds. Nice stay. Thank you.

Weekend Trip to Rollinsville Adventure Camp

My friends and I had site 5 and 6. There’s a slight slope but not bad at all compared to some other campgrounds I’ve been to. Our two dogs loved the area and enjoyed the space as much or more than we did. There are only two picnic tables to share among the 6 sites. This wasn’t an issue for us since we had the place to ourselves. The gas grill was nice to have. There is a shower hooked up to a hose. It’s not potable water but would work for a rinse off if you’ve been hiking all day. The potable water pump wasn’t working while we were there, but I let Ed know so I’m sure he’s on it. Also the little structure area was so nice for late night card games. The lights in there were much better than using our camping lanterns. Overall we really enjoyed it and would probably go back because the dogs enjoyed it so much.

What a great spot! Hosts were super nice and accommodating, the site had all the amenities. Will definitely stay there again!

Tent ends can be opened up for more airflow and a true sense of camping in comfort. Allows for up to 6 people to sleep comfortably and still use the dining area table.

Beautiful site on quiet farm with friendly animals. Slept 4 people which was cozy but enough space. It was a great stay and the host was very responsive and welcoming!
