Imagine staying in this cute cabin nestled high in the town of Rollinsville, CO (8,668' elevation). This historic 1858 Wild West town offers fun for every nature and adventure enthusiast. This is a shared cabin, as I live on the second floor, but you will have access to the entire place with your own private room. Long-term renters are preferred. Use of AWD/4x4 vehicles—or snow chains/socks during the winter season (Nov–Apr)—is highly recommended. Strict fire ban per city ordinance The Space Welcome to this beautiful 1957 log cabin built in the tungsten belt region, within Rollinsville town. This cozy 900 sq. ft. true log cabin sits on an acre of forested property. PLEASE NOTE: Since I am renovating and refurbishing the cabin, the interior may differ slightly from some of the photos. If curious, please ask for the most recent pictures—I’ll be happy to send them. Guest Access You will have access to the kitchen, living room, office area, shared bathroom (you’ll always have priority), as well as the beautiful acre of front and back yard, which includes a fire pit, basketball hoop, and a relaxing patio. During Your Stay I am mostly working and aim to give you as much space as you need, while being available if anything is needed. I enjoy conversing and getting to know guests, but you can always let me know how much interaction you would like or expect. Other Things to Note This is an incredible getaway near one of the best local ski resorts, Eldora. Stunning hiking and biking trails in Roosevelt National Forest, local breweries, restaurants, and bars make it perfect for all types of outdoor and foodie enthusiasts. 2 nights at The Bluebear at Y Double-K Ranch

This property was AMAZING! I stayed 2 nights by myself and I’m so grateful I found this site. The little bear cabin was perfect. Signage was clear leading up to the site. The road is dirt leading up to it and then gravel. The view from the cabin is great. Through the trees you can see the mountains, walk up the hill a tiny bit and amazing clear views. The grill worked well and there was firewood at the wood stove. The inside was clean and it was great to have the fridge/freezer, microwave and coffee maker. The cabinets had paper plates, plastic cups and some plastic utensils. The cabin keeps out the cold fairly well but it was a bonus to have the heater. The bed was comfortable and there was a cot below you could put together if you had another person that needed a spot. The porta potty was clean as was the site in general. You can see the other cabin from this one but it’s not too close. I highly suggest booking this cabin!

Beautiful view! We had a great stay. All images and posted amenities are accurate. The space is well insulated and kept heat well. We used the wood stove for heat before bed to ensure the temperature stayed up over the course of the night. We stayed in September and there are aspens on the property with a beautiful Mountain View. With a clear day you can see multiple mountains and some had snow on top!

What a cool, serene, GORGEOUS spot. Close enough to Denver to have a night out in the mountains. WiFi, too, so working here is totally doable and you’d have the best view. The hosts have really stocked the place well and the outside and inside fires were perfect on a chilly night. Did I mean the vast night sky full of stars???

Great spot! Cesar let us stay and check out the foothills for some moonlight photography. We had the sound of horses nearby, some birds, and a very glamorous tiny cabin to stay warm in while we waited for the clouds to clear. Enough distance from the nearby properties and the other cabin to feel on our own, and a good little hike nearby through a small aspen grove.

Weekend Trip to The Bluebear at Y Double-K Ranch

We loved our stay at the blue bear! The views are breathtaking. The space is comfortable. We appreciated the large signs directing us to the cabin, the art along the road, and the signage throughout the cabin. We were surprised to find a refrigerator and wifi as well. My daughter was so sad to have to depart. We definitely made some great memories on this trip and inspired to build my own cabin.

Weekend Trip to North Shore RV Park & General Store

This is an RV site with a couple of cabins and tent spaces. The park was quiet, clean and easily accessible. I saw deer and turkeys each evening at dusk. The cabin was super clean and had a couple of battery operated lanterns. Bring your own bedding or sleeping bag. The shower was great and a flushable toilet is always nice to have while camping. Very relaxing to sit on the cabin porch and watch the deer or turkeys.

Absolutely loved my solo time at the cabin. Such a peaceful spot and so thoughtfully put together. There was another cabin just past this one that had guests staying at it, but overall still felt secluded and quiet. Loved all the chipmunks, birds, and deer around. I hope to be back again in the future for more solo time.
