We do have neighbors, but the property is pretty well tucked away. You may see the occasional vehicle or hiker on the road or hear someone doing some yard work, but it is generally very quiet and secluded at the yurt.
Our neighbors have chosen to live in Marble for its privacy and tranquillity. Please show them respect by keeping the noise down and leaving them be.
If you have questions or need help, call us from the yurt landline.
Winter camping experience/equipment and a high-clearance 4x4 vehicle with severe snow-rated tires and chains may be required to access the yurt Oct-April. During large snow events, driving to the yurt may be impossible in any vehicle. Skiing to the yurt may be an option Dec - Feb. Gear sleds are available at the yurt for your use.

Our campground has recently expanded to feature 50 spacious RV sites with full hookups, three fully furnished cabins, three cozy bunkhouses, and two designated tent areas. Guests can also enjoy our new cardroom, shower house, and laundromat, ensuring a comfortable stay.
Lake City is a hub for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a variety of activities such as fishing, hiking, biking, boating, and bird watching. Explore the stunning Lake San Cristobal, the second-largest natural lake in Colorado, or savor a meal at one of the many delightful eateries in Historic Downtown Lake City. Good distance to/from Salida, while also feeling “off the grid”. Great views of the surrounding peaks. Suggest bringing warm layers for the cooler evenings and a warm comforter. Our dog prefers sleeping in his crate and the tent is big enough to setup in the corner. Recommend checking it out. Thank you!

We had the absolute best time at the canvas tents! The animals were the highlight of our stay, the walk to the river was amazing as well. While we were there, a momma cow actually had her baby, which was such a special and unforgettable experience. The setting is peaceful, the tents are cozy, and you really feel connected to nature. Todd and Belinda are truly wonderful hosts. They made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. If you’re looking for a unique getaway with a touch of magic, this is it. We can’t wait to come back!

This is one of our favorite places to glamp. It’s nice to not have to pack dishes, cookware, etc. There’s a great setup to cook. Sway in the hammocks after breakfast. The beds inside the teepees are so comfy. The host is incredibly kind.

My family and I had a great time at Frenchman’s Creek! Our tent was spacious for the three of us and kept us shielded from the nightly showers. We enjoyed seeing the animals and the clean bathrooms/showers. I will definitely be staying here again when I am need of camping in the Buena Vista area!

One night wasn't enough.. What a sanctuary. Clean, green, so so peaceful, relaxing. I booked a second night in the deer 🦌 Tipi. Loved the solar bag showers, loved loved the views, and the private mini hike. Love that we could take our dogs because lots of places do not. Our dogs were in heaven. Highly highly recommend this sanctuary.

I appreciated how well the hosts communicated with me and the cleanliness of the facilities. The site provided great access to several hiking trails in the area, plus quick access to downtown Leadville and Buena Vista. I'd definitely stay with Belinda and Todd again.

Our stay at old moon acres was awesome! We all had a blast and especially our kids. Stacy was very accommodating to our needs and helping us out from the very beginning. She is very nice and takes good care of her guests. It was a nice get away from the city. It is very kid friendly and a nice place to take the family. The place is very clean and it was a nice experience sleeping in a Tipi. Has a nice view of the mountains, a nice little spot to cook with everything provided and a nice fire pit to have a camp fire at night. Also not too far away are some fishing spots and a small town Crawford for whatever you might need. I would definitely recommend this place it was a nice stay 10/10 for us.

The tent was a perfect size and it was nice having it be on a platform so it wasn’t right on the ground. There were chairs inside and outside with a small table inside and a picnic table outside just like in the pictures. The listing says no fires but there is a propane fire but it didn’t work for us. I noticed one of their tent sites did have a functioning propane fire going so I’m not sure if they’re not allowed or if it was just out. Otherwise the site was beautiful, well kept and cool to see the cows right next to us! Bathrooms were clean and a short 2 min. walk away. They were communicative and recommended some restaurants in town for us!
