We are located one mile south of the Wyoming/Colorado border on the west side of Highway 287, one mile north of the rest area. The elevation is about 7,500 feet. Our property, and the surrounding area, is loaded with stunning granite boulders. This outcropping is part of the Sherman Batholith, (just like Vedauwoo to our north), dated at 1.4 billion years old! There are a variety of trees and abundant wildlife and birds. RVs, pop-up and all styles of towed campers are welcome, except Class A motor homes or low ground clearance vehicles. Our house is uphill and far enough away that you won't see us, but we're available if you need anything. The property line is fenced and/or marked, we ask that you stay on our property and keep close contact with your kids and your dogs leashed, or nearby, for their safety... due to abundant wildlife, as well as neighbors with horses and cattle.

I loved tent camping on Olliander’s land! It was quiet and peaceful, with a beautiful and unique home. The drive there and the drive out was a scenic experience through the mountains, which was a great addition. The chickens and rooster may wake you up in the morning, which was a benefit for me! They were cute and pretty friendly, Would highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Rockaway! Lots of privacy and quiet. Our dog was able to enjoy all the space we had to play fetch. Brenda gave us our privacy but also reached out to check in on us when the weather turned for a bit. Lots of thoughtful details to make the stay very relaxing and enjoyable. Brenda and Jason we exceptional hosts and their land was absolute perfection!! It was close to the highway (but not too close!! It was still quiet!) and super easy to find. Their instructions were spot on! Everything was so well groomed and maintained which made for very comfortable camping but there was plenty of wilderness to explore so you still felt like you really got into nature! I will 1000% recommend this spot and will definitely be coming back!

Olliander’s space was perfect for a quiet, peaceful weekend tent camping spot. They were very easy to communicate with, greeted me upon arrival, and lovely to chat with.
The space is well shaded and also has a large open clearing, has parking within 100’ of where I set up my tent, and is within 10 minutes of downtown Nederland and TONS of hiking trails.
I would highly recommend a stay at Olliander’s (and the fresh eggs from their chickens).

The view is magnificent, and it is what you are paying for. The host responds to questions quickly. I will caution as the site requires maneuvering 2 very tight hairpin switch backs to get to. I was pulling an off road pop up trailer with a tundra and had to get creative to make it up. Although page lists 30 ft vehicle, i would not attempt in one unless I was incredibly skilled at driving it.

Brenda was so lovely to meet. My husband (also Jason) and I were enjoying the horseshoe pits , when we got to meet her and her lovely two shepherds 💕
The property is behind gorgeous, and they’re so kind to provide a grill, hammock, table, firepit, firewood, sink, drinking water, solar powered lamps to light the campsite and walking trails … I mean , there’s nothing more we could have asked for ! We had to leave for health reasons in the middle of the night, and Brenda was so kind as to offer a partial refund, and we are rebooking and bringing our own two pups as soon as we can ! 10/10, I would totally recommend booking !

The view was absolutely stunning and it felt private. The land was somewhat rocky so there were limited places for the tent. There was a fire pit, some chairs, and a trash can. Overall, we enjoyed it but I think it is a little overpriced for what you're getting. We would happily come back but not for $200/night.
We also had a somewhat difficult time finding the place. Google directed us to a spot that was too early on the road. You need to go past Schaffer Ranch and then continue until you see the signs for Vista Point on your right hand side (it's a decent amount farther from Schaffer Ranch). Jason was responsive to our lost messages!

Rockaway was beautiful, clean, and amazingly equipped. The owners were also very communicative and helpful. The rocks and trees provided great shade and protection from wind. The grill, sink, and bathroom were spotless! Such great additions for a campsite!

The space was incredible. Brenda and her husband were very thoughtful in the layout and supplies for the camp. We didn't need to bring anything besides ourselves, tent and food. The site was extremely clean and very well kept up. Brenda was incredible with her communication and helped us with any and everything we needed. They were beyond hospitable and I would recommend them to anyone. I look forward to staying with them again.

What a beautiful and quiet spot to camp!! The setup allowed us to camp with ease as we broke in our new camper. We were able to walk the area and explore with our dog as well. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot so close to home. Brenda was very responsive throughout the booking process as well. Hopefully we can revisit this area in the future!
