A-Lodge Boulder is a 30 room lodge just 2 miles above downtown Boulder, Colorado. We are located in a wilderness area of Boulder Canyon, right at the junction with Fourmile Canyon. We have three #vanlife sites and four tentsites for offer on Hipcamp.
We have a BRAND NEW barrel sauna, hot tub, grills, seasonal pool (Memorial Day to Labor Day), meeting space, outdoor beer garden, bathrooms and showers for campers and a wonderful trail to Betasso Preserve right from your campsite. The Fourmile Creek runs through our property along our large lawn area. Great views and you might see bear, deer, elk, moose, foxes, or even a mountain lion!
Walk-in sites are just a short hike, about 100 feet, on an unmanicured trail to our platforms. We provide the platform for your tent as well as access to all of our lodge's amenities; front desk, lobby, bar & beer garden, fire pits, grills, bathrooms, shower, outdoor common areas, free wifi, etc.
A-Lodge has a 7-day non-refundable cancellation policy. If you cancel within 7 days of your arrival, 50% of the total is non-refundable.

Welcome to our charming 2-acre meadow nestled in East Boulder. Just minutes from town - near bike trails, shops and restaurants. A great pitstop on your way to or from the mountains - or base camp for the adventures in Front Range. We aren't fancy, but we are convenient, cozy and safe. Gate code will be provided 48 hours before arrival.
We have spots in the meadow for Tents, Motorhomes, Vans, Trailers, and Rooftop setups. The grounds are a bit sloped but we've got leveling boards (please leave them behind).
We've got the world's best eggs, a few walking paths through tall wild grasses, a campfire ring, solar shower ( currently closed), gas grill, and a lovely porta-jon (NO TOILET IN WINTER).
We can handle RVs up to 45 feet - truck and trailer. It’s a big field, but a narrow, winding and steep gravel ramp to get in and out.
We have a community fire pit with free burn wood, though the big logs are few and far between; your own firewood is recommended - as well as an ax or saw. If it's windy, please skip the fire... the BFD is very strict about this!!
We have well water feeding a solar shower (only hot when the sun shines) and sink (non potable unless you have a filter). - CLOSED FOR THE WINTER
We have a wading / dog pool continually refreshed from the creek. I just built a new filter!! It’s a saving grace in the summertime. - CLOSED FOR THE WINTER
We have a community gas grill - please donate to the propane fund.
Please help yourself to eggs up at the coop - look for the Venmo QR and WATCH OUT FOR THE ROOSTER! The chickens free range during the day, so please MIND YOUR DOG.

Private, semi rural property of 1 plus acre to house your RV while traveling or availing local activities; there is a home on the property. Close to Boulder CO and other towns, easy access and quiet place to stay that is not an RV park. RV must be self contained with a toilet. We do NOT provide one.
Generators may not be used, however we can supply 30 amp for a small fee during hot summer months. We ask that the AC is off when the RV is unoccupied. Water as needed but there is NO sewer for dumping. This is, ideally, a short term space for seeing the area and visiting people that you know. The camp spot is on 1 acre behind the house. The tiny house is a luxurious stay for hipcampers. It boasts a loft with queen size bed, and secondary loft with an additional mattress upon request. There is a full kitchen with fridge, gas stove/oven and sink. Enjoy a bath in the soaking tub or a quick shower in the bathroom, which also has a composting toilet (don't worry, it doesn't smell!) and sink. Relax on the couch or outside in your private sitting area that looks into the national forest. Electricity, wi-fi, and heat included. The tiny house can sleep 4, although may be better suited to 2 if you don't want to be rubbing elbows.
The Property:
The tiny house is parked nearby the main house on the property where we live. We are at the dead end of the road, and the property abuts National Forest with trails for miles and incredible views of nearby peaks. We have three dogs who you may hear occasionally, but who live in their own fenced yard attached to the main house. Though we live on the property, the tiny house is your own private space and we'll respect your privacy during your stay. Neighboring houses are visible from the property in one direction. The other direction all that can be seen is trees, mountains and sky. There is space to pitch a tent next to the tiny house for additional hipcampers.
Please note, we sit at about 8600' elevation which means in the summer you can enjoy a good 10-15 degree temperature drop from the flatlands. Ahhh.
In the winter, it will also typically be colder and snowier.
Be prepared for the altitude and be sure to hydrate (and consider drinking less alcohol than you normally tolerate) so you can remain healthy and enjoy your stay.

The Treehouse is furnished with Queen size bed and plenty of blankets to keep you warm, but feel free to bring your sleeping bag if you prefer.

We provide a portable toilet with WagBags. Please always pack out all human solid human waste. Gold Hill Store offers a toilet for a minimal fee and the Gold Hill Inn has a toilet for customers. A camp stove is available for outdoor use. The camp stove and the propane heater both use 1 lb propane canisters, so feel free to bring your own fuel to cook and keep you warm. A can of propane is always available for your use of the stove.
* A note to novice campers and regular hotel patrons: Though you are in a shelter, you are still exposed to the elements. The treehouse is not insulated. Wind, bugs, and critters may all be a part of the variable treehouse experience mother nature has planned for you. If you are not comfortable camping, getting dirty, swatting flies, being too hot, being too cold, hearing the noises of animals at night, waking up to the sound of magpies, and who knows what else, this experience may not be for you.

The Tiny House:
The tiny house is a luxurious stay for hipcampers. It boasts a loft with queen size bed, and secondary loft with an additional mattress upon request. There is a full kitchen with fridge, gas stove/oven and sink. Enjoy a bath in the soaking tub or a quick shower in the bathroom, which also has a composting toilet (don't worry, it doesn't smell!) and sink. Relax on the couch or outside in your private sitting area that looks into the national forest. Electricity, wi-fi, and heat included. The tiny house can sleep 4, although may be better suited to 2 if you don't want to be rubbing elbows.
The Property:
The tiny house is parked nearby the main house on the property where we live. We are at the dead end of the road, and the property abuts National Forest with trails for miles and incredible views of nearby peaks. We have three dogs who you may hear occasionally, but who live in their own fenced yard attached to the main house. Though we live on the property, the tiny house is your own private space and we'll respect your privacy during your stay. Neighboring houses are visible from the property in one direction. The other direction all that can be seen is trees, mountains and sky. There is space to pitch a tent next to the tiny house for additional hipcampers.
Please note, we sit at about 8600' elevation which means in the summer you can enjoy a good 10-15 degree temperature drop from the flatlands. Ahhh.
In the winter, it will also typically be colder and snowier.
Be prepared for the altitude and be sure to hydrate (and consider drinking less alcohol than you normally tolerate) so you can remain healthy and enjoy your stay.

Drive to Estes Park or Rocky Mountain National Park to explore for the day.

The Treehouse is furnished with Queen size bed and plenty of blankets to keep you warm, but feel free to bring your sleeping bag if you prefer.
A roll out twin size feather bed for the floor is available upon request if you have a few more folks joining.
We provide a portable toilet with WagBags. Please always pack out all human solid human waste. Gold Hill Store offers a toilet for a minimal fee and the Gold Hill Inn has a toilet for customers. A camp stove is available for outdoor use. The camp stove and the propane heater both use 1 lb propane canisters, so feel free to bring your own fuel to cook and keep you warm. A can of propane is always available for your use of the stove.
* A note to novice campers and regular hotel patrons: Though you are in a shelter, you are still exposed to the elements. The treehouse is not insulated. Wind, bugs, and critters may all be a part of the variable treehouse experience mother nature has planned for you. If you are not comfortable camping, getting dirty, swatting flies, being too hot, being too cold, hearing the noises of animals at night, waking up to the sound of magpies, and who knows what else, this experience may not be for you.

The folks @ A-Lodge were the best! They are super responsive on their text chat almost anytime of the day/night. They extended our stay one more night very quickly just over chat when decided we were not ready yet to say goodbye to our kids in Boulder. We were able to snag the same spot from the night before so getting in later after dinner in Boulder was super easy for us. The lodge is really nice and so were the restrooms and showers. Snowed our first night and the view of the property was very special. We were able to fall asleep to the sound of the creek next to our RV spot #2. Would book back here in a heartbeat. Thanks again to all who helped us on first camper van trip. Starting here made the rest of our week that much easier.

This was truly the perfect little getaway from Denver! You have everything you need in this cozy and spacious spot!
I spent two nights up here by myself. Spent the day hiking Brainard Lake, then getting cozy by the outdoor and indoor fireplace. My last morning here, I woke up to a Winter Wonderland! Wow! I would have stayed an extra night, but sadly it was already booked. I will definitely be back again soon! 🤩

This land is beautiful, the lodge even better. But what made it all worth it was the reassurance that everything was going to work out. I had constant communication with Cesar as we had been travelling 18 hrs from Houston Texas. They made everything easy, asking questions and being patient. The lodge was stocked with necessities and even provided a grill, propane, a boot brush and even more two sources of heat. We were able to chop our own wood as well as purchase them from Cesar. It was all worth the drive and made my husband's and I anniversary exciting.

The host is friendly and communicative and the area beautiful! We went in February when there was snow on the ground, so if you go in winter, you of course need to make sure you are prepared fully for winter camping. If you are prepared for that, the spot is great! The camp site specific porta-potties aren't there (again, it's winter) but there is still a nice indoor bathroom to use. We had a lovely time having such a great view of the night sky (surprisingly little light pollution for a place so close to towns and cities) and had a fun time soaking in their indoor metal tubs. It really hit the spot to warm up after being outside in the cold. I recommend staying here!

Deer came right down to the Lodge, plenty of creature comforts in the kitchen, jacuzzi tub, hot tub, with wifi and central heat. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. Trailhead on site for a good hike, or another right across the hwy. King Suite was spacious, check in was easy, be ready for an extra deposit fee.

Where to go
Golden Gate Canyon State Park
Mountain views, aspen forests, and 35 miles of trails make Golden Gate Canyon State Park a stunning outdoor escape. Hiking trails are open year-round, giving campers a chance to catch sight of the park’s wild residents, including moose, bighorn sheep, and black bears. In summer, reserve early to score on-site tent campsites, yurts, or cabins, as this popular getaway fills up quickly. In winter, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing make for an exciting trip, with ice fishing available on Slough Pond and Kriley Pond as well.
St. Vrain State Park
Camp beside small ponds and admire the local nuthatches, wrens, and warblers while staying in St. Vrain. Electric hookups, water hydrants, and a dump station make St. Vrain’s campground a popular spot for RV camping as well as tent camping. Stroll through hiking trails, float on the water, or bring a Colorado fishing license to catch rainbow trout, channel catfish, and black crappie. In winter, St. Vrain offers waterways that are popular for family fishing excursions—even in winter. There are also wheelchair-accessible piers at Pelican, Sandpiper, and Mallard ponds.
White Ranch Park
Twenty miles of trails cover this section of the Jefferson County Open Space system—hiking, cycling, and horseback riding opportunities give campers plenty of ways to explore them. Reservations are required to camp inside the park, where a limited number of walk-in tent campsites with picnic tables deliver quiet escapes in rugged mountain terrain. The semi-primitive tent campgrounds include restrooms, wildlife-proof storage bins, and horse corrals for equine campers.
When to go
June to September is the most popular time for camping near Eldorado Springs, when warmer weather averages 85–90°F. It even makes its way up to the higher elevation areas for warmer mountain hikes. September and October offer colorful displays of fall leaves, while winter excursions are popular for those seeking skiing, snowboarding, and ice fishing. Alpine regions often stay snowy well into May, so check up on road conditions when planning drives through the mountains.
