Your site is overlooking the Sangre de Christo mountain range. The land is Alpine desert with sagebrush and ground cactus and incredible star gazing. There are 2 great hiking trails within a couple miles. There are 3 hot springs within 30 minutes. The Great sand dunes national park is within 1hr. The San Luis valley offers, hiking, mountain biking, ATV trail, Horse back riding, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, rafting, refuges for wildlife watching. New for 2024, The flushable toilet and shower are now operational. The shower house is located in the center of the loop with sites 1,2,3 on the south side of the building. It has an on demand water heater, there is also a a flushable toilet located in the same space. An important note about the toilet, Do Not flush anything other than toilet paper please. DO NOT flush feminine hygiene products, napkins or hand wipes or anything other than toilet paper. These type of things plug and burn up the pump while pumping out the tank. This will cause the toilet to be unusable. ATTENTION: THE SHOWER HOUSE AND TOILET WILL BE SHUTTING DOWN AND GETTING WINTERIZED OCTOBER 1ST UNTIL MAY 1ST. No fireworks are permitted at any time.

Our home, like many of the homes here, is creatively made from recycled materials, using two train cars for the body of the house. The property also hosts a 1200 square foot Dojo, built by the previous owner, a Qi Gong master lineage carrier. We continue use the space for yoga, capoiera, dance and other events. This place was great! So thoughtfully designed -- even though there aren't any trees, the campsites are situated so that you can't really see one another when you're in your little space. Lots of little touches, like the lights along the pathway, a nice playground in the park, the cantina in the middle, make it a really pleasant stay. And the showers! Very very nice showers. The host, Adam, was really friendly and accommodating, and we had a really nice stay the very last day of the season. Will definitely return!

This unique glamping RV sits on 5 beautiful acres with incredible mountain and desert views—and is home to 30 rescued “Llovable Llamas.” We are conveniently located near Taos, where you’ll find world-class skiing and outdoor recreation. Red River, another charming ski town with exceptional Rocky Mountain scenery, is close by as well. Just south lies Colorado and the Great Sand Dunes National Park. You’ll find plenty of local recommendations in our guest book—we love adventures! The camper is a newer model with slide-outs on both sides, making the interior spacious and comfortable. It includes all the modern amenities: electricity, hot and cold running water, a full kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower. Sleeping arrangements accommodate up to six guests. In addition to the queen bed in the bedroom, the sofa folds out into a full queen, and the dining area converts into a bed suitable for children. Several outdoor spaces invite you to relax, including a sitting area, picnic table, hammock, and a fire pit for evening campfires and stargazing. We also provide outdoor games such as cornhole, ladder toss, and horseshoes, along with classic indoor board and card games. While the camper offers the perfect opportunity to unplug and enjoy nature, you’ll also have access to free WiFi and a television with streaming services—ideal for staying connected or winding down with a movie.
