40-Acre Treed Property – 20 Minutes SW of Saguache, Colorado This 40-acre treed property is bordered by BLM on two sides and is very close to National Forest, offering ultimate privacy with breathtaking views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Tracy Mountain. The cozy 672 sq. ft. cabin features 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, with solar-powered electricity and a wood-burning stove for heat. A seasonal spring flows through the south end of the property. The property is ideal for hunting, stargazing, camping, ATV riding, horseback riding, and much more. It’s 20 minutes to Saguache, 30 minutes to Monte Vista, 45 minutes to Alamosa, and 1 hour 15 minutes to Salida. Wildlife is abundant, including elk, deer, moose, bears, doves, cats, and more. Excellent hunting is available in Unit 68, an over-the-counter unit. The property has year-round access.This is a beautiful 40 acres of wonderful scenery, wildlife and quiet. This backs up to BLM land so plenty of room to ride horses, ATV’s or just go hiking to explore all the San Juan creek area has to offer. There is a bathroom with water, toilet and a shower. We have a washer and dryer or clothes line whichever you choose. In the evenings when we aren’t on a fire restriction the fire pit is a great place to enjoy your evenings.

This backs up to BLM land so plenty of room to ride horses, ATV’s or just go hiking to explore all the San Juan creek area has to offer. There is a bathroom with water, toilet and a shower. We have a washer and dryer or clothes line whichever you choose. In the evenings when we aren’t on a fire restriction the fire pit is a great place to enjoy your evenings.

Our stay at Slice of Heaven exceeded our high expectations. When we arrived we were greeted by the host and given a full rundown of the property. Tricia was very generous and made sure we were going to enjoy our stay. We arrived at night to a very cozy remote cabin. The wood burning stove was fully stocked and created a warm environment. My group of six all had comfortable sleeping situations and were able to cook full meals in the well stocked kitchen. We were only able to stay one night and weren’t able to fully check out the property but, from what we saw we were thoroughly impressed. If I’m ever back in Colorado I would love to stay here again. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here!
