Stayed here for a weekend getaway with a large group and had a great experience. Jeremy is a super chill and helpful host, he made us feel welcome right away. The campsite has a relaxed, open feel with friendly horses and chickens wandering around, which added to the charm. Jeremy even offer free-range eggs from their chickens, such a cool little perk to start the day.
There’s a clean portable toilet on-site (huge plus), and everything felt well taken care of. Just a heads up: the trail to get down to the actual camp site a little tricky if you don’t have a 4x4 or high-clearance vehicle. One of us made it in a regular car, but it took a little patience, go slow and steady and you’ll be fine.
The lake is nearby, but it’s a pretty steep hike down and back up. Totally manageable, just be ready for some uphill effort on the return. That said, it’s peaceful and worth the trek if you’re up for it.
If you’re looking for a quiet, nature-filled spot with some farm fun and don’t mind a bit of a climb (and maybe a bumpy ride in), this place is a hidden gem.

Absolutely loved this campsite! Loved hanging out on the water all day and being able to explore the grounds with my hubby and son. The portable potty was super clean and only shared with one other site. We met one of the hosts, Tom, who was super friendly and gave us a map to explore more. We will definitely be back!

We had another great visit. The river was beautiful as always, we played in the water for hours, and saw more interesting insects like antlions and gelastocorids.

Throughly enjoyed camping here! The campsite was equipped with a gas fire pit, a restroom/sink nearby. The host, Jeremy, was incredibly kind and helpful with anything we needed. It was awesome he also had kayaks available for the campers to take out on the lake! Would defintely recommend this spot!

Very nice camp are. Jeremy was really welcoming and communicative throughout the entire process any questions asked he was very quick to reply. The lake is beautiful had a family outing and it was gorgeous. Fresh eggs in the morning horses were really friendly. Hill was very steep but all in all we had a great time and would be back again.
Also kayaks very fun don’t skip this site must see.

This spot was awesome! My daughter had a blast in the river, I would say site 7 doesn’t have the most shade so be aware for animals. My 13 year old Chocolate lab had it rough but he held out. All in all great place and very clean!

Great river access and a well maintained site. There is no shade at all at site 8 so it was really hard to stay cool during the day unless you are in the water. The Porta potty was clean and well maintained. We would camp again but next time pick #6 which had great shade.

It was our third time at Jeremy’s farm. My top 1 camping!
Jeremy is a fantastic host — friendly, helpful, and always full of great tips. We genuinely enjoyed chatting with him during our stay.
The farm is peaceful and full of charm, with the sweetest dogs, beautiful horses, and a chicken coop where we picked fresh eggs for breakfast.
The lake is stunning — crystal clear, full of fish, and we even saw turtles and crawfish. Can’t wait to come back!

Tent Camping was great. My wife and kids loved our campsite. The area and the portable toilet was very clean. We got to enjoy the sounds of the river and were able to look up at the stars during the night. The area they have to swim at was enjoyable and had a beautiful view. Overall, my family and I would book another camping trip again.

Wonderful hosts. At feeding time Kevin took us on a tour of all the different animals, including llamas, alpacas, goats, emus, and chickens. We stayed 3 nights in site #1, which is large and almost flat (just had to raise one side a bit). The site included water and electric, and there were horseshoes, cornhole, and connect 4 available to play. We had our 6 and 8 year old grandkids with us and took them to Brown’s Ravine at Folsom lake to swim in the afternoon. All in all a great trip and kids had a great time

We loved camping at the Painted Lakes! Jeremy and Michelle were great communicating before and during our stay making sure we had the best time on their property. The site has lots of space for setting up camp and relaxing among the trees and animals. Loved walking to the lake and kayaking. It is a quiet piece of paradise. Great setup with a gas grill, gas fire pit, and an outdoor couch on turf.

Love, love, love! That about sums it up. Second year I a row taking the Suisun Valley 4-H camping project and staying in Rowan's Camp sites 6-10. Location is perfect! Right on the water with a great place to swim. And can't thank Tom enough for the time he spent teaching the kids gold panning. When we asked the kids what they'd change next year it was a resounding "nothing!" 💕

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay on Rachael’s land. Excellent signage made for no confusion as to where I was going. Shady enough with a couple perfect trees for my hammock. Swimming hole was quiet and the water was warm. My dog loved it.

Wow! Remote and beautiful. Extremely well maintained with the cleanest port a potties ever. What an enjoyable and relaxing experience falling asleep to the sound of the river. The sites are big and pretty distanced from each other there is cell service clearly marked a short distance away. Loved it!
