Host was kind! I actually forgot to get gas and she graciously gave me some gas so I had enough to get to station. Rv was clean and well stocked with everything you could need Heater works well, most important thing lol. . Gas fireplace was nice at night. Right on the river and perfect for a fun little adventure.

We stayed in encampment #5 and loved it! Amazing views as the site is on the upper terrace. It was also great that the fire pit had height to it. Nothing like a fire and huge starry sky at night. The bathroom set up is clean and has water and paper towels to wash your hands. We were the only campers so it was quiet for us. Estaban was a breeze to communicate with. Must go to the Kern River Ceviche Company for dinner, best ceviche in a long time!! Absolutely would recommend!

Bakersfield has no idea what a gem exists here at Okihi! Just 20 minutes from downtown, you'd never know it as you feel transported to paradise. I've visited Okihi several times, and the vibes are absolutely perfect. The views of the river, sunrises, and sunsets are unforgettable - truly a treasure! The property is teeming with life: goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, horses, native gardens, and natural flora and fauna abound. We even spotted two bald eagles relaxing in a giant tree directly across the river. We had the pleasure of watching Katherine ride her horse, Basil, and feed the animals. It was such a treat to see her guide the sheep and goats from their temporary pasture to their nighttime enclosure, where they're watched over by the dutiful Sky, their guardian dog. Glamping tent was exactly as expected. We loved it!

There are several accommodation options: bring your own tent, stay at the Riverview glampsite, or rent one of their trailers. We chose a trailer to celebrate New Year's Eve with friends. The outdoor setup is perfect with chairs, benches, and a fire pit. Inside, the trailer is adorably decorated and sleeps 5 comfortably. There's a queen bed, two single beds, and a pull-out couch - though it was just us two this time, we can't wait to bring our kids! We enjoyed really enjoyed staying at Esteban's land in number 5. The view was amazing! Also only a few minutes from Kernsville and Sequoia National Forest. The outhouse was not something I would want to use so it's best it you have your own toilet.

Secluded, great views. Clean. Kinda hard to find. The host posts a few great links to google map points of interests. Hard to get to once you get there from the service being kinda slow to make sure to download them in advance. Also for some reason the address when you punch it into your iPhone maps it sends you to a different house. If you show up to an area with a red gate or a house with a driveway. This isn’t it. The campground is next to a cemetery and a day use area. Also site 5 is a tough for an RV I would recommend using the pull thru sites not pull in. It’s pretty tight. Would definitely come back. You could hear tons of wildlife from our site. We came during November and got the whole campground to ourselves.
